I drown on land...
Recently, I and some amazing content creators cam together for Dominion, a lore based origins minecraft server. With the origins mod, we had to chose a specific origin to play as, each with varying strengths and weaknesses. Some are less gamechanging than others but of course, I chose to play as a fish, which means I drown on land...
How can I successfully get through early game if I can't run on land for more than just a few seconds?

a thing with diamonds is they dont spawn as often next to air blocks (thus why underwater caves are good)

Super fun! I was worried about the fish at first but they did a good jobs with origins making sure it's still balanced!

flooded caves are good because diamonds have a 50% chance not to spawn if next to air, so the water removed that chance and effectively doubled the number of diamonds

Leave coordinates to the cave in Grady's chest. No context. Just tell him that you'll give "his" diamonds back. I did this to my brother, who's the king of The Aether. You would not believe his face when found out it was me who left the note.

I think i know why there was so many diamonds, diamonds generate much less when they are exposed, the water is not air so the game THINKS the diamonds are not exposed

Ok I might be late but I just had an idea to make your skin fish based. Make every part of your skin that shows the skin color and isn’t your cloak have like guardian scales, change your eyes to have like something similar to cats(cats can see in the dark, fish can see in the dark, and cat eyes look cooler then fish eyes.) and have half of your mask maybe be ripped of sorts and show like a big tooth going down and a small one going up. That as best as I can describe it without being able to draw it(doesn’t matter if I draw it or not tho cuz I can’t draw at all lol).

You should add stuff to the mod like fish get night vision because I couldn't do that I couldn't swim around and just die because of the darkness
I also choose merling on my class smp. Everybody is laughing at me but it is actually really good. You can get diamonds with ease!!!

Imagine a death strider+soul speed+dolphins grace tunnel with this origin. Einstein will be a little mad tho

underwater caves have way better diamond spawn rates because if diamonds get exposed to air they get deleted in the new 1.18 caves
