Woo! I get to catch a video before I have to get up and start getting ready for the day! My youngest just turned 17 and she wants to go with the family and some of her friends to the roller-skating rink to celebrate.....I'm about to be soooo sore 😅
This dude has no fear. He’s a rarity on UA-cam and that’s a wonderful thing! No script. No cringy attitude. He’s just like an old friend that doesn’t change no matter who is around.
That must have been nice to have something sweet and tasty. It was a nice treat I’m sure. I was born in 65 but I sure do appreciate the time you gave! I’m sure it wasn’t easy. Thanks for posting!
I can tell you from experience that new Tang routinely clumps up in those plastic containers. And if you keep it for more than a couple of years, the powder actually turns kind of a brownish orange. It still tastes OK though.
We helped clean out an elderly neighbor's house after she passed (was a widow for a few years) and there was, among other things, ancient meat in the freezer and canned foods so old whatever was inside had solidified into a chunk - you could shake the can and hear a single chunk rattle around. Some of them were even rusted through. That's the type of place I imagine the Tang packet came from.
some kids back in the 70's would start their day with a big glass of Tang, big bowl of Fruit loops, and a toasted Pop Tart. Very nutritious sugary breakfast.
So cool that you got a perfect can. Very rare to see you open something decades old without any decay. Looking forward to seeing it on the shelf in future videos!
Coincidentally, you posted this shortly after I went to a walmart (outside the states) and found SO many different flavors of tang. Never seen so much of it in my life haha. Great video Post love your content!
I love how you just didn't give a crap that there were dead ladybugs swimming around in that sink full of Tang and you just went ahead and had a lil sip anyway 🤣
Some late-night show really needs to book you. It'd be like one of those cooking segments they do sometimes, except you'd be opening old canned food and tasting it.
This is one of my favorite youtubers. Not super flashy and jump cutty like most channels which is why i like it… you get to just sit back and chill, and be entertained as well as gain some new knowledge
I looooved Tang as a kid and I’m 50. I remember drinking it at my grandma’s house. Love all your cool packaging displays. I always look forward to your videos! Thanks for sharing!🥰
Post 10, you are very informative, genuine and honesty in everything you do, talk or shares with us. You know what you do. That's why I keep watching your videos. I can't stop watching your content honestly❤😘
I remember Tang came in a glass jar. That was during the moon shots and they had a promotional snap together toy moon rover in the jar. Wish I still had it. "Tang, the drink the astronauts took to the moon"
You mentioned anxiety. You might wanna check out 432 hz frequency music. I feel my blood pressure go down when I listen. Also… there are hypnosis things you can download for anxiety that might help as well. The only reason I’m even saying anything is because I had anxiety and sympathize. But that stuff seems to help me.
I haven't had Tang since the mid 2000s, and I remember it tasting really sweet. Similar to how you described it, almost like orange jello. If it tastes like real orange juice now, they must've changed the recipe. I wonder why they decided to go for a more "real juice" taste now instead.
Oh man I can't believe you've never had Tang until now! And I agree the new recipe does taste more natural than I remember, but I still love the original recipe too. I'm not sure if I've had the Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights, but I do remember loving the Apple Delights they were based on.
Glad to hear the old Tang in the METAL can held up for that many years. I remember my dad drinking Tang when he was a teenager in the early to mid 70s. And when I was a kid back in the mid to late 90s, I let him taste Tang again. He remembers Tang was just a little sour back then, like you mentioned when you tasted the old stuff. The new Tang is sweeter, and tastes kinda like artificial flavored orange juice, or orange juice concentrate.
well,Looks like the early 1970's orange tang drink lasted well all these years,The new tang lasted 5 mins,Things where made much better back in the days
Something bad happened at the Tang factory. The company is always happy to know about stuff like this so they can pull the lot number and investigate what happened for quality control reasons. If you report stuff like this, they usually give you free coupons of the product.
At first, I watched your videos and thought “Ok”… now I watch them, and think “these are brilliant”. Keep up the great work. All the best from Singapore.
Instant tea mixed with tang and served warm is awesome, especially in the fall. Edit: mix the powders in a container, and find your mixture a cup at a time.
LOL You need a canning funnel to fill those jars. Cuts way back on the mess, believe me! I used to love Tang but now that I'm old and decrepit I can't open it. Wish it came in cans or jars. In the winter I would make Instant Russian Tea. ( I doubt if Russians ever drank it though! LOL ) You might like it for camping. Thanks for the memories!
Bottled water, Gatorade and Tang are three popular drinks that came into existence in my lifetime. Next time you need 6 ounces of water, filled your over sized measuring cup/bowl with 16 ounces of water and pour of the 6 ounces need.
Post, a tablespoon equals 3 teaspoons. Also, the daily percents were different because the daily requirement for children is less than it is for adults, so for an adult that Tang had about 200% but for a kid it was about 400% of the daily requirement. Kids are smaller. By the way, you can get Tang sugar-free drops in a little squeeze bottle these days.
Not gonna lie, I loved the old Tang!! My grandmother had a glass jar she kept in the cabinet. Even when it got hard it still dissolved with warm water and then I would stick it in the fridge to cool it back down. I don’t drink it anymore though. Too many empty sugar calories. Get your vitamin C a sugar free way. 😂 great video! ❤ from Texas
Writing from Australia - I would like to say how inspiring and interesting your videos are, inspiring because I now know I can store food away for decades without complicated preservation methods such as mylar bags, vacuum sealing and oxygen eaters - just, buy the cans!~
I didn't realize you could still buy Tang. When i was a kid in the 50s and 60s it was a new product. We were told it was the drink the astronauts drank in space. Great marketing idea. Fun video. Thank you Post10.☮️💖🎶
They did futz with the Tang formula a while back, removing the sugar and adding... sucralose, I think. For a while it was branded 'fruitrition,' regular Tang was just gone for a bit. Then they brought it back and it is a bit more sweet than I remember it. Still one of the better drink mixes now that sugar is back in it though.
from my experience of living in the UK: American consumers generally find the more dyed and clear colored Fanta appealing and some suggest not all Americans want to have fruit concentrate especially if they know what they're getting into when they want a soda. Europe on the other hand actually use orange concentrate but from what i am told (living in the UK) other EU countries use different levels of orange concentrate but i could be wrong so please forgive me if i am incorrect.
I always enjoy your content. Its fun to watch you do stuff. Am i wrong or were you supposed to do 3 spoons of the modern one? Maybe since they were rounded, it evened out.
Welcome to old food Saturday. Thanks for watching
Old food is my favorite food, I love to snack on civil war hard tack with a drizzle of ancient Egyptian Honey when I’m hungry
Thanks for uploading! Love all your videos!
Thanks for making my morning!!!!!

This channel is gold. No yelling, no "WhATs Up GuYS!!!", just simple entertaining videos.
Just right to the point

Right? So badly in need of creators like this in this time.

Tang was a life saver when I was deployed. I got so tired of drinking water day in and day out. Anything to break the routine was welcome
Thank you for your service. I'm deployed right now and believe the Tang days are a thing of the past, none in sight.

You should have taken the new one back to the store for a refund.

The graphic design is quite rebellious for the 1960s, probably because it was aimed at kids, teens and young people!

I absolutely love those pumpkin delight cookies. My all time favorite. Great vid!
Omg! This one made me laugh hysterically. You are so funny.
We used to put a scoop of Tang in our (empty) dishwasher and run it through a cycle to clean it. The citric acid in Tang is good at removing stains.

😂 I actually laugh out loud during your videos . Genuinely funny
I just have missed it, why did you discard the new Tang? I thought you liked the taste? Was it just because of the clumps?
The reason why the older one tasted better is probably because it was made by General Mills !
I didnt know this stuff still existed. I remember it tasting like very strange fake orange juice as a kid. Not a bad find.
Tang use to make a grape flavor..Not sure if they still do ? ( I remember your Start video one of my favs 👍)
Yes, they still make it I just looked it up, interesting I want to try it

My dad always told me that astronauts drank it!
And that was a big lie.
Years later they have computer glitches in space.
Tang in the late 50s early 60s was just chemicals ,artificial favors and a little vitamin c ,so I don't think it will ever go bad.
Everything is just chemicals.
Corporate needs to see this video and do more quality control. Standards have obviously dropped in the past 50 years😂. Crazy cool.

When I was a kid in the 70s we called Tang 'astronaut orange juice'. Back then it was the height of powdered drink technology.
