I am from Meerut as well.. u should have asked online before arriving, I am saying this as I dint like u struggling here.. if I knew u were here I would have invited u to my home before hand and I hope it's not creepy for u 😅.. Meerut lost its historical beauty but still very good food, medical services, sports goods, hospitality etc etc.. people from outside hardly stay here as they often be traveling to rishikeshfrom Delhi or so.. u know what I mean..
So happy that you visited my city :) There are actually quite a few good and cheap food places you should explore if you are still in Meerut : pinki chole bhature( in lalkurti ) , singhal gol guppe ( Subhash bazaar) , hariya ji ( lalkurti/nayi sadak) lassi and multiple milk sweets , kulfi from kailash( nayi sadak) , allahabad bank matar and kulche. Also you must plan a visit to Kali paltan mandir from whenever the revolt actually started , dogra temple and kaanch ka gurudwara in the cantonment area.
I reside near Nayi Sadak and never heard about Kulfi from Kailash 😳 Lemme try this one. You can add the paties shop too who offer multiple varieties of paties only, more than 20 varieties
Thanku for exploring my city meerut ...and this is actually old meerut which u explored...the gate u mentioned is called ghanta ghar ,and the area where u were is also called ghanta ghar area,, from where u got samosa is called saraffa market of meerut..
Thank you for visiting my city. I lived in Meerut and I left the city back in 1999. I still have a home there. This clock tower part of city, we too barely go there. Every city has downscale and upscale areas. However, the city may be a total mess, but Meerut has people with golden heart. I have many fond memories from this town.
Today, I went to buy shoes for my childerns here in Karachi, Pakistan. I had a small general talk with the shopkeeper related to his ancestors and came to know about this beautiful city meeruth. The most inspiring and heart-touching things are people riding beautiful scooty bikes, bicycles and cycle rickshaws as well. I will definitely watch more vlog videos to fill my eyes and heart with the "NOOR" of meeruth streets. Thanks.
The worst part is that people of our own country discourage tourism by saying things like , don't go to Meerut, they should have guided him properly about what he should avoid from getting crooked or they should have contacted a local Meerut resident who would have easily shown him our beautiful historical City !!
Finally, I have been able to watch this video! Life has kept me occupied with other things lately. I really enjoyed the tour around Meerut and it’s history for which you had explained. I actually learned a lot, and I thank you! This was an excellent content video, not only interesting to watch, but to become a bit more educated. Although poor, in comparison to U.S. standards, the streets seem safe thus far, and the people actually seem to be outgoing and friendly. Obviously the language barrier makes interactions almost impossible, and it is there that we lose so much. Yet, you’re managing to limp along with obtaining meals, and traveling about, and that is a big accomplishment on your part. Nice job here my friend! It’s so good to see you back, taking your subscribers to places we would otherwise never know about, hear about, or see! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

India is also the hub of spirituality, yoga and meditation in the world. people from all around the the earth come to this country for inner peace and wellness. there are lots of sages who meditate in the serene mountains of Himalayas.
They are building roads everywhere in India even in the Himalayan foothills, horns can be heard everywhere you go in India. It’s still beautiful although generally very dirty as people don’t care and throw rubbish everywhere! I would like to visit Arunachal Pradesh but not easy and permit only.

I'm from Meerut. Yes, it is that the whole city is not that well educated and people that side focus more on their family business rather than focussing on education. So, visit the other side of Meerut someday and you'll get to know more about it.
Meerut (and many such other cities in India) has a lot to offer for any visitor - be it food, historic places, markets, people (yes people too....majority of them are nice)....however to make the most of it, you must first find a local person who can guide you. Best way to find a local person is to ask your viewers to volunteer for you as a guide (Indians are very forthcoming in helping foreigners) before you visit a city (you can ask on UA-cam, Instagram, Facebook or even Google it). Each city in India has thousands and thousands of very good English speaking people (you may not find English speakers while walking on the road but if you put a little effort prior to your visit, you will find many). You will save a lot of hassle for yourself and also will be able to truly enjoy the place. Or else you will be lost in just getting around and figuring out things. I am from Meerut and I loved it when you noticed the historic buildings and liked the vibes of lanes you visited. Wish you all the best for your travels in India
4:17 There is no office in Clock Tower they're basically rooms where maintenance and caretakers live. The clock tower known as Ghantaghar, was originally known as Kamboh Gate, and was given to my Great Grandfather by the Britishers in 1946.
People of meerut are well educated and connected to capital city. Also, to see if people are educated or not you must have visited to localities rather than markets. Though it is a small city it is now of national importance as the first semi high speed train will be running shortly between meerut and delhi.
I am from meerut city brother . I can feel your experience was not good but if you come again India please visit meerut city once again i will ensure you that your experience will be fantastic . Thank you and love from Meerut , India
man !!! you landed at maybe the worst part of city for any traveler here in Meerut, it would have been a gr8 experience if there was a local person to guide you through the city. what surprises me most is that miraculously you couldn't find a single helpful person through the entire day ! usually we Indians are a helpful lot and especially love to assist anyone in distress. May be next time you can plan your visit and do different things with a person who knows this city well. Good luck and be safe!
I wish there were 15 rupees samosas around the corner here in Poland. Meerut seem like a very interesting place with some architectural jewels, I actually never heard about it before. Once you reach remote Indian villages honking horns will trouble you no more🙂

Hi, Michele Ponte. Famous Placies to visit (which are ancient also in ruins are), Jama Masjid of meerut Almost 800 years old maybe more, Shahpeer Mosoleum, Abu Mohammad Mosoleum who was a ruler and Governor during Aurangzeb time, Shahpeer Mosque, Martyr's Memorial(also visit museum and library there), If you want to see ancient Haveli. Go to Westend road, Nawab Sahab ki kothi (One of its kind as it still belongs to bloodline),Kali Paltan Mandir, Famous Place where Rebel Gather in 1857 and Plan so on and so forth there now it has a Bid temple build at that place. These are in Meerut (Meerut is divided into City and Cantt Area) You can visit St John's Church near Zero miles stone. Other Places are outside of meerut, But you can still say they are a part of Meerut now.(like Suburb). Begum Sombre Church in Sardhana(One of it's Kind, Catholic Church) Also Visit the building opposite to church. You can go to Hastinapur. It has many Jain temples there. But, be careful of monkeys. It's a nice place. Hope all this helps. Famous Eateries of Meerut are Rewri and Naankhatai(they are sweets originated from Meerut) One is made during winter another in summer time. If you like Non Veg go to Delhi Durbar Restaurant. And if you like Vedge go to Marwari Bhoj. But, appreciate you visiting Meerut. Now, as you were told not to visit in Meerut. I would say not all people are same. But, I would suggest you be careful and Alert. Thanks, Regards, Mehmood Ali

Welcome to the "Sports City of India"- MEERUT (my city)♥️
Thank you!
Thank you so much for all the suggestions
4:17 There is no office in Clock Tower they're basically rooms where maintenance and caretakers live.
The clock tower known as Ghantaghar, was originally known as Kamboh Gate, and was given to my Great Grandfather by the Britishers in 1946.
Oh wow, your family has great history!
@@MichelePonte Yes, Thank you.
People of meerut are well educated and connected to capital city. Also, to see if people are educated or not you must have visited to localities rather than markets. Though it is a small city it is now of national importance as the first semi high speed train will be running shortly between meerut and delhi.
I am also from Meerut ❤
Nice!
@@MichelePonte brother Try pondicherry near Tamil Nadu....

Welcome to this great country my friend.Lots of love from India.🙏🇮🇳🙏
Thank you so much, Jagan 🙏
🙏thank you for coming bro i am so happy you are coming there 🤗
Thanks a lot
Thanks
Thank you
I wish there were 15 rupees samosas around the corner here in Poland. Meerut seem like a very interesting place with some architectural jewels, I actually never heard about it before. Once you reach remote Indian villages honking horns will trouble you no more🙂
Ha! I was at that building in the background at 0:21 just in May when I visited, LOL
It's weird watching about my own city, I live nearby you went, it's not the city to avoid, you would like the food here!

Thanks,
Regards,
Mehmood Ali

I am from Meerut and you seriously need to visit the place again because you hardly see anything. You were just roaming in and around the city bus stand. Next time get a bicycle and explore more.
Hi Michelle, I am sorry because you had a bad experience in meerut but trust me meerut is far better than what you saw, you visited the oldest place in meerut where people are not very upgraded or well educated so they could not understand english
But most of the people in meerut can speak english , also meerut is special for its tastiest food but you couldn't find anybody to help you reach the places where you could have been more comfortable
When you visit meerut next time please visit shastri nagar, I would love if you'll be our guest.
listen brother meerut is a very beautiful city but you only walk on one side of this city which has some mess or traffic and on the other side you can find beautiful places . go to central market of meerut . and try to not believe on all peoples , you can find good peoples with there dressing sense

Salute Michele! Hope you enjoy the city, my hometown. Maybe for next time, You already got many suggestions. So, let me write some new. You must visit Hastinapur and jain temples there, Sadar market and some schools, parks in meerut cantonment, near by you can go to Khadi market. Apparently, it is cheap market to buy plain cotton. Well for drinks, must try sugarcane juice in summer. Happy exploring India. Ciao!
