So a friend of mine has a gx690 belt driven and he mentioned to me that he is getting a popping sound or popcorn sound from the muffler and its died while under a load. Nobody seems to know and its been to 3 shops and still nothing

Hey, thank you for putting out so much good content! I was wondering, could you put out another video about your 24V softwash system? Have you guys been having good luck with them still, is there any new information, etc? Also, have you been having any issues with them being mounted sideways on the front of your systems? I was looking through the manual for some wiring specs and found out it says to only mount them horizontally... After I mounted mine like yours! LOL
@@southeastsoftwash4020 I must have worded my question in an odd way, but the diagrams right on that page show the concern I have with mounting the pump on a wall. It says that mounting the pump with the feet down is correct, and mounting the pump with feet sideways would stop their "motor armor" system from functioning. Have you guys been experiencing problems mounting your 24V pumps in that manner?

I have 2 questions 1- why do some belt drive systems have such a short belt they are really small compared to this unit which I’d say is normal 2- why are the components so hard to find ?
Has to do with the stroke distance on the pistons. It’s possible to Get a direct drive to run just fine off a tank, but it’s a better idea to just get a gear or belt drive unit and be done with it
@@southeastsoftwash4020 I bought a direct drive when I started out, its a honda gx390 4gpm, is it possible to just change the pump and keep the engine? Could I get a belt drive pump running on my engine?
Hi, I have a few questions on belt drive units. 1. Can I converted an existing honda GX690 8.0 gpm belt drive to a gear drive? Is it possible to use the same pump? Or that need to be changed? 2. On a belt drive unit. Is it better to have a single belt for the pulley or have the individual belts. I only ask because if a single belt breaks will it cause more damage on the engine? Compare to having individual ones and one breaks. 3. When is the best time or hours to replace belts? Thanks
1. yes, just make sure the shaft size on the gear box is the same as your pumps shaft, make sure the gear reduction is the same as your pump rpm. You can't use the same pump. direct drive pumps have female connection and gearbox/belt pumps have a male shaft
Great video. Would LOVE an ongoing series on the equipment building & maintenance.
Thanks guys! Sitting here in my driveway with my first belt drive unit. Your video was super helpful!

I’m looking to purchase power washer parts & equipment. Does your go to guy have website to purchase ?
Thank you
New Subscribers and you guys have some great looking equipment! 👍🏻
Doesnt lowering the gas not slow down the rpm and save you also save feul

I’d absolutely recommend to keep a belt on hand.
They are cheap

Excellent information. Can you convert direct drive to belt drive ?.
the pump can't, the engine can. when the pump dies replace it with a new skid for belt drive and a pump
if you use a gearbox you can keep your direct drive skid and just replace the pump.
Perfect video
