@@adam-ki3bv Both gear & belt drive are good choices. I like the gear drive a little more because it is a smaller footprint. Remember that direct drive is not the same as gear drive. Thanks
How did you find out your engine Rpm ? I've been wanting to do this , what kinda pressure you getting? 2800psi? Or less?? Did you have to change pulleys or bushings?
I built this machine knowing if would not produce a lot of pressure. I think I am getting around 1500 PSI and I used the same bushings and pulley. I built this machine strictly to wash houses. Thanks
Hey sir! I am currently on the fence with upgrading my gx390 to this setup with gear reduction and direct drive - I was looking to see if you have an update to how this setup ran. I would look to only use this for down streaming and rinsing applications. Thank you for the great content! #onspotpowerwashing
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 wow. At that psi, it isn't much good for anything other than software. Well I guess that was your whole point anyway, so no big loss I guess
Nice upgrade I may do the same to my machine I’m wondering if I should wait until I add another machine considering it’s only the only one I’m running none the less thanks for sharing 👊🏽

Glad to see you went with that pump, I love mine. Now you got a mini beast and a beast!
I actually may need to meter my Sh for down streaming. Thanks
Where did you get the 390 skid from?thanks
You can get them from Envirospec or North Georgia Airless. Thanks
Great content. Thanks for the ride along.
Thanks for watching!!
Great video. I have a gx390 on my flatbed that I never use. Might be an interesting way to breathe new life into that small machine.
Thanks Tim! Let me know if I can help.
Got this pump for next season can’t wait to use it.
Nice. We plan to use it soon. Thanks
Thanks for uploading, i'll be upgrading my 420 + 4gpm direct drive with this same pump but will probably go gear drive.
Gear drive is so much smoother. I may end up converting this machine to a gear drive if we use it a lot. Thanks
Just curious what makes a gear drive smoother?
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 can you do a video on flow without the injector to see what that allows ?
@@adamchicoski5284 Not sure, but my big unit runs much smoother with less vibration. Maybe because of the belts. Thanks
@@ElitePropertyCare I did a flow test without the injector and I am getting 7 GPM. I will try to get a video soon. Thanks
I’m assuming you got the bypass situation right. If not, you might toy around with a different size ID hose. Great video.
I was able to get it right. Thanks Mike!!
Why have about 5% bypass on trigger? Just a better safe than sorry thing? Or is that all all unloaders should be set?
The 5% was per the manufactures manual. I also heard that is the rule of thumb. Thanks
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 thanks for getting back so fast! I didn’t know that thanks!
Nice job....
I personally like the gear drive
Me too but had this belt drive already on the trailer. I may convert it to a gear drive. Thanks
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 so why do you like direct drive better? I thought belt drive was better and would help the pump last longer, etc.?

Sweet upgrade
Thanks Joe!!
What psi are you getting in that pump, I was going to buy it with the gearbox for my gx390
Around 1500 PSI. Thanks
Can you tell me the sizes of the bushings and pulley for both pump and motor?
I reused the bushings that was on the 4 GPM pump. When I have a chance, I can pull a measurement. Thanks
You want a downstreaming beast upgrade your injector to an Allison Super Suds Sucker. I get between 25%-33% draw depending on which tip I use.

hey Boss....did you give up on this machine? Looked like a good set up?
I replaced it with the AR45 g roof pump. Needed to get a stronger mix. It was a beast and plan to do something with it at some point. Thanks
What is this like for running a surface cleaner ?
We only used it for washing & not surface cleaning. Thanks

It worked great for downstreaming. I would recommend a Flo Pro for rinsing if you plan to use a remote box. Thanks
@@allproexteriorservicesllc5338 Awesome! I also built my box off your diy video and it has worked out great! Thank you for all you do!
Can I put a 5gpm pump on a 4 GPM gx390 direct drive?
It has to be gear or belt not direct
Agree with Matthew & recommend gear drive. Thanks
Yes you can. I have a 5.5 gpm comet on a predator 420 and it works great! I've had this setup for 3 yrs now and pull from a buffer tank.
Do changes to the engine need to be made before upgrading from a 4gpm to 5.5gpm pump? Like rpm etc. Thanks
I want to see it shooting water up a house. Also curious to actual PSI.
Very soon and PSI is around 1500

I would wait until you get another machine for sure. I wouldn't use this machine to surface clean. Thanks
Thanks for the jewels 👌🏾 much appreciated 👊🏽

Horrible camera work.
Tough to hold the camera and do the work. Thanks
Just be glad somebody showed you.
