Prachtig. Ik heb de video doorgestuurd naar mijn vriendin in Rusland, die de Jussen broers ook geweldig vindt. En ook naar een pianist vriend in de UK die de Jussen broers niet kent.
Auch als Solist ist Arthur Jussen eine Wucht dank seiner hohen musikalischen Sensibilität und vollendeten Technik 👍👏
It always amazes me how different pianists can coax such different tone qualities from the keyboard. Perhaps it is a mixture of the mechanical and the human heart. Bravo! I love the Schumann and Arthur's artistry is evident.
Wunderschöne Aufführung dieses romantischen Konzerts mit glänzendem Klang des Soloklaviers und gut harmonisierten Töne anderer Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön. Der geniale Dirigent leitet das perfekt trainierte Orchester im lyrischen Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Bewundernswert!
Arthur is GORGEOUS. An angel playing the piano, with masterful technique.

Excellent interpretation but distracted by the bobbing and weaving, grimacing, making faces at the piano. It adds nothing to the performance and Arthur did not do this sort of thing in the past. As an artist of the highest caliber, I hope he ditches this behavior , it’s way too much like the shenanigans Lang Lang carries out and it detracts from the music. Has been interesting to watch both of the Jussens as they progressed over the years. Highly talented, beautiful presentation, passionate about their craft.
If you don't like Arthur's shenanigans just listen and then dont watch. You wouldnt then want to watch cellist Stjepan Hauser who seems to chewing his cud as he plays and hes a very fine cellist
Arthur ist total mit der Musik verbunden und zeigt seine natürliche Emotion, wie man es besser nicht ausdrücken kann. Respektlos einen so jungen gereiften Pianisten so zu kritisieren. All the best for you Arthur in the future!
If you refer to earlier UA-cam clips you will see both Arthur and Lucas are both very demonstrative performers. I do agree that it is a little distracting, but then I balance that with the wonderful performances and take it for what it is, a combination of high artistry and a pinch of theatricality.

Yes. It's almost annoying at times. And it seems, at least to me, to sap some of the energy from the piece. Overly introspective.

I watched Yuja Wang’s performance and her style is of course different. Very romantic but a bit more aggressive. Also talking about rubato, hers was rubato overload. I thought Arthur Jussen’s rubato were nothing compared to hers. The way Arthur played it was just right except for the one mistake I thought he made.
