I had the exact same journey. Raised Christian, dabbled in "spirituality" and Buddhism in my mid to late 20's, then came full circle back to Christianity. It just feels right.

I really like how you shared your spiritual journey. The prompting to inspire you to dig in and read through the Scriptures is sadly a rare thing. I experienced that when I was 18 and so much was going on everywhere. I heard a pastor mention the plagues in Egypt and how it showed how judgment worked or something to do with the order. I thought, wow…I have no idea what the order was or even what each one was. I was like, how can I claim to follow a God I don't really know. Like what pleased Him? What pissed Him off? So, I committed to reading through from Genesis to Revelation with the purpose of learning who He really is. I had to toss out everything I had been taught as I found most wasn't accurate. My entire life changed that year. So, much respect that you are digging in for yourself. 😊

I walk down my gravel road everyday. I watch/listen to nature. I don't ever take my phone or listen to music while I walk, that ruins the vibe. Nature is AMAZING! No technology needed! That is my advice to fix problems.

It’s very important to feel that there’s something bigger than you. Just better for mental health. More in philosophical way not religious, I guess.

Read Richard Rohr if you want a more spiritual, metaphorical interpretation of Christianity. Falling Upwards is particularly good. He points out a lot of inconsistencies between what the Bible actually says and the way Christianity is currently practiced.
I'm buzzing to hear about your journey! The Church has got SOOooooo much wrong over the centuries! Not Jesus, He got nothing wrong, but those following him often don't follow well (all of us to some degree). One of the things that has me most in awe of him is how he lets us keep associating with him even when we keep making him look bad. Any form of growth is still growth! 😊 You just haven't moved as far as you might have expected, but still, you can see how you're not in the same place where you were 7 years ago. Please, be more compassionate to yourself 🙏🏻 You are doing the best that you can! Every road has turns and bumps, highs and lows, the straight ones that are easy are hard to find! You can do it and I, an internet stranger, am rooting for you all the way 💖Stop the self judgement, break your huge big goal into smaller ones, take one step at the time and you'll be there before you know it!

That's very different from my journey with "spirtuality". I don't feel lost or selfish. My existence is focused on caring for myself so I can care for and be an example to others. I do pray but I'm not focused on a God who makes decisions about me and my proformance and whether I deserve what I desire. I ask for guidance and support in my mission. I believe we are all connected and what we do to one we do to/ for all. I appreciate your share and love your content. ❤
I recently was feeling confused, not lost, and I tap into the Buddhist teachings. I change from praying (wishing, wanting) to let everything go, and live in the present moment. it's been great (just sharing)

Funny, my path was sort of opposite of yours. Raised southern Baptist but the churches and verses rang hollow or worse, and the teachings from the pulpit often led me astray. For me, I find god, truth, or whatever you want to call it, in the soil of my garden. I hope this bend in your spiritual path brings you joy, health, prosperity, and a loving community.
WOW! I feel the same about religion. Raised Catholic by a Mom who worked for the Arch Diocese for 30 years. It never took. Because of all the toxic energy in the world today I find myself (out of the blue) praying. I wouldn't call myself a "God Girl" but I like the "idea" of God and what God represents. I like the thought that GOD > GOV. Ironically in Sunday school we never studied the Bible and one of my "to dos) is to study it. Not as a religious thing, but simply because it's fascinating. I think many of us may be having this awakening, searching for something to grab a hold of in order to get some hope. I wouldn't say I have faith at this point in time, but it sure won't hurt.
The Lord Jesus Christ is patient and He loves you. Religion is impersonal. Jesus Christ died for you because you and I are sinners. He rose from the grave to give you abundant life and eternal life. I don't believe in Jesus Christ because I think He'll make my life better. I believe in Him because He is better than life. Trust in Jesus. You will never regret it. 😊
