It's not impossible to say if your appliances a.c. fridge and lights are low wattage you would not need these people again.

ThisZendure system looks amazing! My son installed a solar system for back-up power security, in connection with the power company last year. He is a scientist and very bright. He understands all of this much better than I do so I had him look over this video and the Zendure material. He wishes he had waited and gotten this system.

Guys, I followed Nate's advice and got myself a Benchmade Mini Bugout folding knife as my new EDC and his recommendation was 100% absolutely spot on. Incredibly sharp, very thin yet super solid - extremely well made. I've had plenty of folders before, from cheap Gerber to expensive Fallkniven and none packed the utility and discretion of the Mini Bugout. Thanks Nate !!

This unit is the first I have seen which could address basic power requirements for a house. It's more convenient them getting several solar generators to power say a freezer and a frog. Thanks Nate

Is there really an advantage to these within an emergency realm? The price to time used seems really high compared to a gas generator. I can see it for RV's or weekend cottage life.
So what is the price?? Some of us are not as well off as others. I'm a single woman trying to get a safe place for me and my daughter. I've already sold everything except my soul.
@@JWFitness1 Agreed. We only have a few marine batteries and 450 watts worth of solar. I have them as backup to run the furnace for a day or two. We also have 100 liters of gasoline stocks on rotation for a 1-3 week event.
@@apriltracy1523 Depends on wants/needs. My setup is a lot more DIY and needs some electrical skills/understanding vs these 'in the box' items.

Get a real gasoline generator.That generates continuous high ( real) Amps.
Yea,yes,it takes gasoline.Well,guess what ?If you can't get gas for your car,you arnt going ANYWHERE! So your problems then are huge,and getting worse every hour,at that point.
In the dim,faint sunlight of a northern tier winter( Canada much worse) the sun looks like a dim lightbulb.Even this,isn't doing much.Sorry,you can cheat Amperage demands ( load).
@@bcole3442 Well you also have to consider that in SHTF situations gas is hard to come by. So the gas you use on the generator is just gas that you won't be able to use in your car, so you aren't going very far either way sadly.
But yeah if you have high amp needs it's a necessary evil. If only we could refine our own fuel at home lol.

Great intro movie and the emergency solid-state batteries that I had no idea existed. For Solid Power, the current EV-size cells don't do as well as they should in cold temperatures, and battery life declines too fast when the cells are repeatedly fast-charged. That's why Nate kept that Tundra!

If you think about it, it is the most likely outcome. A country can send a few nukes out of subs and disappear, or fall from space with a weapon already there that we don't know about. No reason to nuke any cities when you can just let the American population kill each other, and then come in. After a year, the Americans left would treat anyone coming in with food as liberators and saviors.
The first time I did that book was on UA-cam for free. I bought the hard cover after that. I just found it available from free as a pdf if you do a Google search. There is no reason for anyone to not get ahold of a copy and read it.
I read it last month. It's fairly accurate, but thinks will be far worse.
@@debbiecurtis4021 I couldn't agree with you more. If the lights go out, we have four weeks max before people that are almost starving will be going door to door looking for food. We will have multiple acts of violence after about 3 days, but the hunger will start after about two weeks when 50 percent of the people run out of food in their house. I can't tell you how much this book changed my thinking on how much we needed to get ready. And the bad part is the sun could do it with a Carrington like event today. I've read everything I could on that one and so I pay attention to channels the cover the sun. If one goes off, we have maybe 18 hours before lights out. The government could try and mitigate the effects by turning off the power and trying to disconnect everything they could remotely, but even then, it would be bad for 6 months to a year. People will run out of food after about a month.

No trees fell here (your 30 mile away border neighbor) but what a ride! Watching them sway over the vehicles parked outside was a bit of a nail biter! I did a time lapse of 1 hour (15 seconds) it showed the trees swaying rapidly, but the clouds blowing by were pretty cool. I might look at uploading it.
I have been kicking around the idea of a "preparedness" Playlist on my channel. If I do, I will include a 'build your own' version that can become much more economical- though not nearly as portable, unless you build it on a harbor freight cart...that could be something...

I live in a small town high in the mountains. Cold winters here mean lots of ice and snow. But we have a wood burning fireplace and a portable solar power system. So even if a storm knocks out our power. We still have lights and heat. We also have plenty of fire power if anyone tries to Invite themselves inside. Also half our food is dry or canned goods so we won't go hungry. And we have multiple access points to water outside. So all in all. This winter won't be nothin for my family
I must say thx so much Canadian prepper for keeping us up to date and showing us a new useful SHTF tool, you definitely deserve a pat on the back for working every day on how to help other preppers

Welcome back commy camera man. Another fun video from you nate. I'm way down here in new zealand and other prepper I've talked to don't seem to be worried about war or emp getting us. And being an island at the bottom of the world, we are self sufficient in how we get our electricity. So I'm in 2 minds about getting such a big extra power source.
Great video, brilliant bit of gear. It's good to see this technology advancing and becoming a little more flexible.
I really like this because you can get extra battery packs and sense it can recharge you just need to cycle them out and theoretically you will never run out of power.

Wish I had one right now. My phones on 17% and the powers been out since midnight and it’s almost noon. I live out in the country and our neighbors don’t have power either but the town does. There was a wind storm last night but usually it doesn’t take this long to fix an outage. I don’t know what the hold up is but it’s very frustrating to say the least. I keep thinking this is what it’s gonna be like possibly at some point so it’s best to see what it’s like. I just realized I can charge it in the car! 😅
No power loss here in northern Idaho, but the wind is still blowing a bit. I was watching some transformers blowing or lines arcing, lighting up the sky, over the mountain towards town. I'm sure someone over there may be without.

I'm in the US (Arizona, plenty of sun lol) and I got a Bluetti AC500/B300S battery package & their new PV400 Watt solar panel from their Indigogo crowd fund. Already received by 500 & 300 and just waiting on my solar panel to ship. So far tested on my deep freezer in our garage and ran it for 24 hrs of the genny with 28% battery left. Hobotech's review was my final confidence booster to pull the trigger on this system.

How well will these units survive an EMP? I've not found a backup power setup where the various components such as charge controller and battery management systems can survive EMP or nearby lightning strikes.
