What's up? Today i'll show you how to build a mega fast Super Auto Smelter in Minecraft 1.20.
This Super Auto Smelter works in Minecraft Bedrock on these Gaming Platforms : MCPE, XBOX, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
You can smelt a stack of items in about 9 seconds, with no delay.

Materials you'll need to build the best Super Auto Smelter :
- 222 Hopper (~ 3,5 stacks)
- 64 Furneces
- 150 Powered Rails (~ 2,5 stacks)
- 44 Rails
- 4 Detector Rails
- 12 Redstone Blocks

When you are building this super smelter make sure you build it east - west oriented (input chest to fuel chest), if you build it north - south oriented it will cause problems, the rails will connect in funny ways and you won't be able to build it like i did in this video!

+ for mobile players, make sure to build the items loading part (powered rails and detector rail) within one chunk, don't build it on chunk borders, it could cause troubles ... thanks to @TiktokBestflo for mentioning this problem!
+ it can happen that the fuel hoppers pull items from the item carts, to fix this simply place slabs above the fuel rails, this will prevent items loss and items stuck in the fuel hoppers...this problem occurred on Realms!
the dimensions of this super smelter are : width 24 blocks, depth 19 blocks and height 6 blocks
+ recently i've got few messages regarding the sticky pistons of the smething items part, they don't release the smelting items carts, it is not the smelter! if you've build everything like in the video and have followed all the mentions in this pinned comment then simply try to move the loading part of the smelting items by a few blocks further away, you don't have to rebuild the whole smelter, just move the loading part a few blocks further back, this should fix it!
it's something with your world, not the smelter!
Yep guys hundred percent it works when u build it west or east but don’t build it north or south. You can check this by using a map. 👍👍👍

takes 10 seconds per smelt plus item input/output delivery time eg. output hoppers move a item every 8 ticks or 0.4 seconds so ea item can travel up to 2.5 hoppers per second less lag

I think blaze rods are no problem, coal is fine for sure.
Lava buckets won’t work!
You can check my zero tick kelp farm, in a short period of time you will have enough dried kelp blocks to fill all the furnaces with it!

@@nathanciminelli5900 unfortunately i can't after it was uploaded. of course it is my bad, i've recorded this video very late during the night and i've edited later in that night, and such a bad mistake happened. for now all i can do is to pin the comment or make it better on an updated version of the smelter, which will come for sure!
definitely making this version in my base. I have the super smelter from shulkercraft that keeps breaking when trying to distribute items and fuel.
I'm think about making 2 of these facing each other, with a central input and output chest!

have you seen my iron farm video? this farm produces a ton of iron in a short time.
unfortunately you will need a lot of wood and fuel, wood farm is in planing but fuel farm will be uploaded tomorrow i think.
Was having an issue with the fuel cart coming back, so instead of the rail at the end I used a slime block to make sure it bounces back. Otherwise it works perfectly.

I had the exact number of each of the materials and some were either short or had more, so here are some corrections to the list:
218 hoppers*
142 powered rails*
52 normal rails*
58 building blocks*

It can be early game If you hit the jackpot spawn of surface badlands mineshaft and large iron vain in mineshaft. Got all the iron and gold I need and this will be my first redstone build for this world. I am adding a charcoal farm with a hopper locked until the farms fuel chest has x number of slots filled using a comparator.
It’s a ton of material that you need to build this farm but it’s worth it!
Don’t waste your time with charcoal, build my zero tick kelp farm and make dried kelp blocks, this is the way to go!
With 1-2 hours afk you should have enough kelp for a long time of heavy smelting!

I am having issues with the super smelter lately. First, the furnace is approximately thirty-two on the left side, and when I put items that are less than 32 unsmelted ores, the fuels will only burn in 31 or fewer furnaces, meaning the comparator will not be able to detect when the furnaces are out of fuel because the 32th furnace isn't burned yet, so the minecart fuels won't be able to transport fuel to the burned furnaces, making the super smelter break.
Hi, not sure if I understand correctly but your problem is that the last furnace is full of fuel while the other furnaces aren’t and they do not get refilled since the last furnace is full, right?
I am assuming you are using bamboo or coal as fuel, right?
Why aren’t you using dried kelp blocks?
Setup a zero tick kelp farm and produce kelp, within a few hours of afk you’ll have fuel to power all furnaces for months!
Just fill them all up with dried kelp blocks and you won’t have this problem when you place 1 kelp block in the last furnace and fill the rest with kelp blocks!
1 dried kelp block smelts about 20 items, you get a stack smelter with 3,5 blocks!
Recently I’ve uploaded the updated version of the zero tick kelp farm, check it out!
The sticky pistons on the front side of the build (smelting chests) don’t open when the chest are empty. I triple checked the red stone everything is connected fine. The red stone turns on and off as I saw in the video but it doesn’t affect the torch so the pistons stay extracted. Any reason why?

This smelter has been working great for 8 months now but I can’t seem to figure a weird issue I’m having with it, there is one furnace that is pulling items twice during a single mine cart cycle so eventually the hopper fills up with stacks of items to be smelted down while the other furnaces receive one item per mine cart cycle and can keep up
I see, I don’t know why it behaves like that?
Have you tried to place the smelter in a different location?
You can try it out in creative and see if it happens there too!
Might be a chunk border issue that slows down the cart a tiny bit at that point so it always pulls two items?
Nice video!! what happens if it runs out of fuel?? by refilling the chest does it start again by itself (assuming ih has things to smelt already inside) or do i have to manually start it with the 2 last furnaces?
also what do u mean by building it east to west? starting from where?

The first furnace from each side (those where you have the fuel refill carts) has to have 64 items of fuel each!
All the other furnaces should have at least a couple of fuel items in it…like 5-10 coal or dried kelp blocks!
The first fuel refill hopper behind the first furnace should have 1 fuel item in it!
Now, once the first furnace burns 1 fuel item it will gets refilled by the 1 fuel item from that first hopper, this hopper will send the signal to the fuel carts which will refill the first two hoppers and all the other furnaces by one fuel item and it repeats as long as the first two hoppers get emptied or you run out of fuel!
I hope it makes sense!

hey around 5:53 the two powered rails you placed try going up to the other rails will that be a problem and how would i resolve that

You can solve this by placing a regular rail on the block in front of the one which goes up!

I see, I’ve listed the items in order I’ve placed them I think!
Whenever i place my items to be smelted in the chest the minecart takes off within seconds not filling up all the way and then the second minecraft to the right ends up taking the extra and then its all uneven
Unfortunately that happens but with the second run the cart fills up

For me the mats list was very off for you exact measurements like 52 rails for 50 slabs it often included more
Hi, thanks for your feedback, i have just double checked and you are right but saying it's very off is not that accurate.
The mistake was that i've calculated :
- 4 less Hoppers
- 2 more Powered Rails
- 10 more Ralls
- 4 more double chests but it depens on how you set it up, it could be right
- 2 less Slabs
for me it is not a big deal but it depends on the POV.

What do i do when one of my hopper minecarts wont continue going down the track after it gets refilled. ( the part that powers the powered rail is to fast)

Hey I hooked it up to a bamboo farm but 1 bamboo doesn’t smelt 1 item so it’s too slow is there any other farmable items that work?
Yeah, bamboo is not good for this type of smelter!
Check out the last zero tick kelp farm video that I’ve uploaded, this will give you tons of kelp which you can convert into dried kelp and then craft dried kelp blocks!
That’s the best fuel source for this type of smelter!
1-2 hours afk and you’ll have enough kelp to run your smelter for weeks…depends on how heavy you use it of course!

Build the farm like u did but the fuel part doesn't work for me, i tried to test if it will catch the signal when the furnace runs out of coal but it didn't work for me

Hey, I have a issue with the item input part. Both of the minecart with hoppers are full of items. However, the fences are blocking the minecarts from touching the detector rails if that makes any sense? What should I do?

Sure, just place hoppers pointing into the two input chests and place double chests on top of them!
Use a locator map and build it in the east or west direction and should have way lest trouble with the rails. Awesome build thank you I needed this.
Yes, you can use a locator map but sometimes it won’t fit in your build if you align with the map, if you know what I mean.
If you place the rails exactly like I did then you won’t have troubles.

Cant get mine to work in the newest update. Not sure why but the comparators on the loading side don't provide a redstone signal to retract the pistons when a signal is applied to it.

Hey. I just built this super smelter. I seem to be having an issue where the minecarts that distribute the hoppers are getting stuck inside of the input chests. Is there a fix for this??

Try to break the cart and place a new one, perhaps it’s a bug and this will fix it?

Why do the composters just appear out of no where is it because we do not need them ?
They don’t appear out of nowhere!
You can see me placing them.
You don’t have to place the composters if you don’t like but then you’ll get some fuel into the output chest every time the fuel cart moves above these hoppers.
With placing composters you’ll prevent them to pull fuel into the output chest.
Mine don’t work if I put less than a stack of anything in the input chests . Should it be like that ?
No, it shouldn’t but you should put stacks in it to have an even amount of fuel in each furnace!

Also when I used dried kelp it would only fill 3 furnaces because the machine didn’t give jt enough time to fill up

Which machine and why dried kelp?
You need dried kelp blocks and if you follow the fuel part instructions of this video you won’t have problems with dried kelp blocks as fuel source, no problems at all!

It is 3 stacks and 26 hoppers and 2 stacks and 24 powered rails for people who don’t want to count

You can use it if you are able to harvest and deliver fast enough but again, dried kelp blocks are the best for this smelter
What should I do if the fences stick to the sticky pistons
They must stick to the pistons
The fucking rails in the front goes up when I place the powered rail with the plate rail thing I've tried so many fucking times

does the opening of the chest have to face east-west or the back of the chest?
The opening of the chest is not the point, I’ve taken the chests as an example to give you orientation on how it should be build!
The left and right side of furnaces should be north-south oriented!

run it some time and you'll have enough dried kelp which you can turn into kelp blocks and you'll be good for a while.

13:37 that piston thing is not working in bedrock bc bedrock doesn't have zero tics
This is in bedrock cause I am playing the bedrock version!
The sticky piston with the slime Blick works perfect in bedrock, if it’s not working then you’ve made some mistake while building it!
Can I use Lava Buckets for the fuel?
As mentioned in the video, lava buckets won’t work with this smelter, I mean, it works but there is no way to replace empty buckets, the best option is the zero tick kelp farm which I’ve uploaded 2 months ago, within 2-3 hours of afk you’ll generate enough kelp to power your furnaces for the whole year!
Of course you have to dry the kelp and make kelp blocks in order to use it as fuel!

Please check the redstone part (comparator, repeater, redstone dust…), check also if you have used the right rails!

Sure, your different items are in the hoppers above the smelter and wait until the hopper finish’s to smelt the other items!

Can you pls tell dimensions of this array ?. Like how long it is from east to west , how wide it is from north to south, ans how tall it is from lowest block to highest block ?

At 6 min I'm having a issue of the bottom rail going up to the top rail no matter what I do
Hi, the bottom rail must go up, that is why you place the rail on top of the block and then remove it again, the rail stays up this way.
Not that rail the once that are there to fuel the furnaces
the issue is the direction in which you built the smelter, you need to rotate it 90°
I would suggest to remove the rails at this spot and follow the instructions, the rails connection will mess up if you place them in different order, place one by one like I did.
I’m having the same issue I followed ur step by step and it still don’t work
I built it perfectly but it isn't very efficient, the minecarts don't fill for long enough so the back furnaces aren't being used.
It is just the first run that starts too early but after that it fills every furnace
I let it run multiple times and the end one would get used but 14 each side were not being used after running multiple times.
I will check my smelter today and will let you know if it behaves the same

I’ve checked my smelter and I can confirm that all the furnaces get filled more or less evenly!
Perhaps you’ve sometimes, by accident, checked the hoppers instead of the furnaces and they appeared to be empty!
Or maybe you have some items in the hoppers that can’t be smelted so the furnaces get skipped during the filling process!
This is approved super smelter for bedrock but the materials 😢 but its okey (btw i subscribe for making this amazing super smelter for bedrock)
Yeah, it’s a lot of iron and wood but it’s worth it!

i wouldn't recomment it cause you won't be able to refill fuel automaticaly with the fuel refill system!

There is a better method to smelt 9 stacks in 2mins
It can also smelt a single stack in roughly 25-30 seconds.
Ok, but this one smelts 1 stack in 9 sec and 9 stacks in ~81 sec which is 1 min 21 sec … compared to your method of 2 min … so … 🤷🏻♂️
hey, i have just checked your build and i've noticed you are using blast furnaces which smelts iron faster, i was using regular furnaces.
with blast furnaces i was able to smelt 9 stacks in 1:40 from the moment i put them in the cart until all 9 stacks reach my output.

Placing rail at 5:58 the lower set connect to the top run. It's built in the right orientation. Thankfully, I split the two halves anyway to give me room in the middle so I extended the non powered rail by one to stop it connecting.
Whatever works for you, for me it worked as I’ve shown in the video! 👌😊

Is it ok if the fences are connecting?
When the pistons activate then the fences connect, that’s how it should be
My fences are not like yours on the vid they keep connecting to eachother

At 6:10 I followed ur exact instructions and the rail keeps aiming up into the other ones

Do you have to build the smelter on a certain position in your base or do you have enough space to rotate the smelter?
What I mean is … for example … you’ve build the smelter from north to south, try to build it from west to to east if you understand what I mean?
For me, no matter how I build it, the rails stay in position if I place them like in the video!
BTW, I am not sure which rail you mean?
The one that goes up by one block (the powered rail after the detector rail) must go up!
The rail system that is feeding the furnaces with fuel must not go up (the lower rail system)!
