    Thanks for the review Karl! I've actually ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and waiting on them. It said roughly 35 days to receive them due to overseas (even though I received a tracking number already, it hasn't moved..)
    I ordered the kit without the transducers, amp, wires, etc because I was able to source those for cheaper, but the exact ones you get on the full kit.
    Hope I able to install without having to lift the entire rig like yours, I have quite a few things attached but you did mention you can easily lift to change the spring so should be alright!
    Thanks again Karl, great stuff!

    Hello Karl, many thanks for the very good review. I drive iRacing exclusively (for about 5 years) and have been using a single Buttkicker until now. I was happy with it. But after your reviews I will order the Slip-Angle Kit. Don't let the many know-it-alls out there influence your opinion. Thanks again for your video.

    I have had the slip angle for about a year now. Love it. It dampens the vibration like he says. It also delivers really detailed tactile feedback per corner when set up. the only upgrade from this is a full motion sfx set up. worth every penny for slip angle. reference, I live in NYC.

      I have this kit and would love to get some info from you, so far it is frustrating me, the 6 channel amp does not correlate from channeln1 through to 6 in Simhub, I can adjust for that without too much drama but it's not ideal, the big issue however is that it does not matter which corner operates, it is felt throughout the entire rig and not discernible per corner, the mechanical transmission of vibration just shake the entire rig, a very muddy response, any suggestions on how you got it to be specific per corner?

    I am a DIYer when it comes to my sim rig, because I'm tight! (and ever pound I save on kit, is money I can spend on more kit).
    But I do already have loads of tools, spare fixings & bolts, etc.
    I know all this stuff is off-the-shelf, but I think as long as it's somewhat competitively priced I can understand the value in getting it all bundled together in the right spec with some instructions.
    If I didn't already do it I think I'd buy a kit like this so long as it wasn't more than say 15% more than just ordering all the parts off Amazon for the benefit of having some of the leg work done and a bit of support. The problem I have is when you see things for sale for $3000, when you know the parts only cost $1500.

    Speaking to those DIY guys I just did a 4 bst-1 kit and in the end of it all your only saving about 100$ and I don't have the 4 isolators and brackets so your not saving much if any. I got lucky I paid 70$ cnd for ea bst-1 but they sell over 130$ the nubsound amps are 65$ each then you have 20$ of wires and the tnuts and bolts another 20 to 30 bucks. I didn't need a sound card as it's in the amps but it's about the same once all shipped. You can save if you get cheap transducers but your not doing the same setup.

What is their amplifier specs for that setup??? How is that haptic system compared to the Butt Kicker Pro??? One thing to note the larger the rig the more power maybe required? My rig is the TR160..

All fun aside though, I'm exclusively a flight sim guy but your videos are absolutely on point for much of what I am trying to do. I currently have a single BK but will likely add / replace this with a slip-angle setup. Your review convinced me and thanks to the price point of the slip angle, it's not as much of a bite out of my wallet as an expansion of the BK setup would be. Nice video, ty! Got 2 questions: I have a Simetik cockpit/rig K2, the old version. I have a monitor support attach directly to the rig for my Samsung 49'' NEO G9. I have a single buttkicker under my seat and a HF8 pad. So far, not to worry about the shaking transmitted to the support monitor. But, with this shaker kit/system , what is your opinion for the shaking transmitted to the monitor support, can it be to much? 2nd question: did you think I can fix this system on my Simetik K2 rig? Maybe if I make holes and use good bolting. Ty, continue the good work!

    Having them on each corner makes PERFECT SENSE because of how resonance works. You kind of want the rumbling of the left wheel's transducer to travel through the cockpit before it hits your ass, because it will also be rumbling your feet on the pedal plate on the left side, it will also let the cockpit influence the signal on the way to your ass so that what you feel in the seat is slightly different from what you feel in your feet, exactly like if it was a real car.
    As an example, if you smack a hammer in the front left corner of your cockpit, that's going to feel different in your feet, butt and hands than if you slapped the front left side of your seat with a hammer... Completely different sensation.
    If you want the whole pit to feel alive, using four in the corners makes perfect sense.
    Your rowdy commenter just likes his booty jiggled is what I'm getting from this. :D

      The argument against it was that hard mounting transducers to a non-flexible structure such as 80/20 mutes them by 80%.
      Adding these isolators fixes that problem, but it’s not an option for larger heavier rigs or motion platforms

Though my rig (Trak Racer TR120) has the built in Quad Monitors, I always worry that the built in stand with all 4 monitors (3 27 inch, and 1 24 inch) would cause an over weight issue with the isolators (and me being 86 kg). Agreed, I want to see the "wohhh, this is really immersive, just felt that wheel break traction..." type of feedback in the video, but the trouble is that he is now spoilt by full motion, so I guess it's hard to get that enthusiastic about some rumbles! This is one downside to becoming successful on UA-cam, starts out in the same sort of position as us norms, reviews kit we can afford etc, but as time goes on moves up to the stuff that only 1% of people can afford. C'est la vie, channel is still great, but it'll never be as grounded as it once was.

      I’ve had it for a few months now. I absolutely love it! Once tuned in with Sim Hub (this can take some tinkering to get the feel right) it adds massive amounts of immersion. I have a motion rig also… so I assume there’s no way to incorporate this product into a motion rig setup? I live in a condo with neighbors above/below and have it tuned for motion only since the vibrational aspect vibrates too much. I would love to find some type of similar but heavier duty (larger bases for stability) isolators to fit under D-Box type of motion actuators. Let us know if you find anything like that please.

    Could you test the four shakers attached directly to the your motion actuators. I mean the actuators acting as the springs and then you could choose if you want to run motion, vibration or both together. And the second question is if the rekon/dayton/aura/SA... shakers can be replaced by a buttkicker pro shaker, as it has the wire conection compatible

    @Karl Gosling Thanks for the overview! I do a lot of high end DIY builds on everything from 3D printers to extruded aluminum builds to acrylic aquariums. Typically I design in CAD and build from there. Just roughly estimating this it will cost as much if not more to build excluding the time involved. So the price on this product seems pretty good... With all that said, what concerns me a little bit are the mounting brackets. From what I can tell the seem a little bit on the flimsy side. Maybe a thicker gauge steel would be better? Or am I not seeing that correctly?
    Cheers,

      @Leynad778 Рік тому +1

      It's IMO quite cheap for the stuff you get. You can get better/more shakers and amps for the money, but difficult with the isolators that are mandatory to keep the neighbours away (had twice the police at my doorstep because of shaker-emission despite lots of rubber-stuff installed...). I'm probably one of the few sim-racers who knows where and what to buy for compression springs and how to attach them to aluminium profiles for small price because I had quite some fails with my passive suspension in the past and paid quite a price for the try & error. Even if you have the right springs, attaching it to aluminium profiles needs some custom-printed parts to make them work properly.

      @@Leynad778 hey do you have any links please? This video is the first time I've come across these isolators and seems to be much better than several rubber mats which do nothing. • @Leynad778
      @Leynad778 Рік тому

      @@easybreeze1 Compression springs like this should not be more than 5 bucks each, but kind of needs a 3D-printer to fix them properly to the rig. The most simple way is just 'designing' round cups with a hole to fix it to the profiles and to squeeze them in. They doesn't need side-support like those isolators. I'm using a six springs with a spring-rate of 55 N/mm, which is quite stiff, more like F1 suspension, so I guess 35 to 50 N/mm is a better sweetspot. 50 N/mm basically means, the spring compresses 1 mm per 5 kg load. I'm using D-355 from Federnshop and probably try the softer D-355A springs soon, which are also a bit longer. If they are too soft, I print a bumpstop out of TPU, which might also come handy to equalize the more heavy rear of the rig.
