Almost 500k subs and still hasn't sold out to "tool reviews" and still does build projects 🙂
He's the world's biggest shill for the fence picket industry. 😂
@@bdmayhem3391🤣🤣
Refreshing isn’t it.
I'd be interested in him doing a tool review on the pencil he keeps tucked in his cap though.
@@CodyBrandt580he did. I can't remember what video.
*My Wife said Rick How Many items are you going to Sell?!? I said it’s not my Fault Matt keeps coming out with New Ideas!!! Lol* 😂😅😂
😂
“This is a channel of no excuses…”. Great statement Matthew!
Truth! 😬
Matthew, I adore you. I am 64 years old and have breast cancer. I started woodworking 2.5 years ago to 1) learn something new and keep my mind sharp and 2) to find a way to manage my anxiety from my diagnosis. I started watching your videos 12-14 months ago and with your encouragement, got serious about making things. I entered my first craft fair this past October and sold $225 in 4 hours. It might as well been $1M, because it wasn’t the money. I was over the moon with the feedback I got from customers and vendors alike. It gave me more confidence to keep trying and improving my skills. And that confidence has given me a lot of mental strength to keep fighting cancer for another 3 years. (If I’m clean in another 3 years, I’ll be considered in the clear.) The medicine I take and the therapies I have, make my hands, feet, elbows and ankles stiff and swollen. I have brain fog some days and don’t dare go near my saw for safety’s sake. But the message I want you to hear is this. You inspire me to keep looking forward and learning. You inspire me to try and to experiment. All of that makes me excited to get up and go to my shop in the morning where I can forget about all the medical crap and have fun. Thank you so much! I wish I could hug you in person but for now, I’m sending you a big virtual hug and my sincerest gratitude. Keep making “how to” videos and giving us ideas. Yours are some of the best, if not THE best, on YT! I just bought 4 cedar pickets yesterday. I’ll be in my shop tomorrow giving your latest ideas a try! ❤️😘❤️
Keep watching Matthew!! We will all pray for you!
@@scottbyrd2157 Bless you. Thank you for your kindness. And much luck with whichever projects you are making!
Trust in Jesus he is the way keep up the woodwork good for the mind be blessed
Wow! Talk about being inspired! Bless you and prayers for your continuing good progress! 🙏🏻
@@juliefromusa2245 Thank you so much for your kindness and prayers Julie. ❤️
The 3M sander and sanding pads are a game changer and will cut your sanding time in half.
So true. They are a quality product and worth the buy!
I didn’t see the link for these and can’t find them
Thank you again and again, Matthew. Not all of us are Michaelangelos of the woodworking world, and your demos through your videos give us access to something attainable and really quite lovely. 🇨🇦
Wow, thank you!
I do believe I will give this a try this weekend.
Noone in your neighbourhood have any fences dude 😊
😆
Unfortunately there is no market for home made stuff where I live. Nobody buys anything no matter the price. People have to struggle to survive.
Every time I have an idea for building something you make it soooooo much better before I can even dream up the plan!
Your videos will forever live rent free inside my head
The "fence picket" handy man. 💵 🎄
😎
Hit Hobby Lobby up yesterday and came out of there with a ton of simple ideas. One very simple one was wooden presents. Just a wooden box with no bottom, then a little ribbon stapled on the top and where it wraps under, then add a simple bow. 👊
Thanks for sharing!! That is a good idea.
If you put eyehooks in random places you could decorate with ornaments
Yea!
I really like how little waste these projects generate. And they look great too!
Awesome ! maybe even drill holes in them and put in lights, would that work ?
Great video ! Going to the blue or orange store in the am to snag a dozen or so f pickets and a few 2x’s , I wish my peabrain had your creativity . Thanks ! Cheers !
Lol enjoy the builds!
These trees remind of the ones in the Peanuts Christmas Special. Love the design Matthew, thanks for sharing.
Oh yea! Thank you.
Can I ask what type of wood pickets are you using? I made one of your tutorials out of pressure treated wood and I didn’t like the texture. The only pickets I found in our local store in Florida was pressure treated.
Those little trees will work great.
I just brought home 38 pallets.
Very nice!
I really like the design and simplicity of these trees. The only drawback that I can see is that they are going to be difficult to store for the rest of the year. I would think making the trunk and base removable would make them a lot more desirable. This would make them capable of being stored flat in the off season.
Was thinking the same. If the “stem” was cut the same size as the tree and attached with bolts so it could be undone and moved up the back of the tree for storage and using a bolt for attaching the stem to feet.
Aww man…. When you took the ends and made another one, ….boom!! 😮 yup I was impressed.. lol. Your the greatest fr fr. Thanks again for giving so much!!
Pretty cool huh?!? I appreciate that!
Went to the search bar and found it that way
Thanks 👍
Very nice clean neat design. Cannot believe only 2 likes with 37K views.
Nice Pops!!!
FYI - you can use a jigsaw for the cuts as well. Use masking tape to prevent tear out.
Bought the mask and ear protection today. Can’t wait to get them! Thanks for the tip.
Nice.
These are awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Modern tree, sleek deign, affordable materials and fairly easy to make. 👌🏽
you can use a hole saw, of different sizes, to put ornaments in. a little hole above the larger hole for the string/tree-hanger-hook so the ornament hangs a little bit.
If you take the corners off of each side of each board you will get a cool paneling style look
Nice!
new viewer.. i have finally acquired my tool mega house. table saw. drill press. planer, 10" jointer. dust extractor, festool tracksaw, festool domino, clamps and all the hand tools a boy can use... now its time to make my first project.. a bird house or xmas tree
This would look amazing if you added string lights by drilling small holes in the back and pushing the lights through....twinkle twinkle !
Awesome
Thanks!
I’m really loving your videos. I’ve just gotten into woodworking in my spare time. Thanks so much for making your videos. Also, has anyone ever told you that you sound a lot like Billy Bob Thornton?
He's the best by far!
Thanks!
Your videos are awesome by the way thank you
I made 2 today out of fence picket. I made them 18in tall. Would be cool with inlaid LEDs around molding.
Yea!
That design would also be awesome for a small pond bridge.
Thanks
Made one and added 150 light (2strings)
Nice work!
These are great trees! Perfect..
Thank you!
Looking forward to the video with Pops. The arched planter stand is awesome.
I freaking love that planter stand!11 omg bravo 👏
I have several left over 5 foot cedar pickets. So I decided to make some of these. I cut them to 48 inches to make the taller trees and used 4 pickets. I made some of the shorter ones at 35 inches as well then used the remaining cut offs cut to 17 1/2 inches with two pickets to make some even shorter ones. Thinking of making some out of one picket for table toppers. I really enjoy your builds. Thanks for your videos.
You could add jute twine like garland for pictures, Christmas cards etc.
i sure do love you and your vids matthew.. im 43 been doing construction for years and i learn alot from you.. your a blessing to alot of people.. hope i can meet you in person one day to shake your hand!
I found the same 3M sanding disc pack on Amazon. It cost a bit more, but if you have Prime there is no extra charge for shipping which is only 1 day!
Nice!
Great idea.
Thanks!
Put some cup hooks on it and folks can hang ornaments and/or lights on it.
Hey, great video! Could you have a little longer place at the end or beginning of where you show off the builds? I like to show my wife what you built to see if she would like me to build it. Sometimes, it can get tricky pausing the video at the right place. lol. Keep up the awesome work!
@danm3584 another thing you could try is adjusting/slowing down the video playback speed! Just an idea! Have a great rest of your weekend!
Oh my God. I love these trees. I am so going to make this.
Love trees you have a Blessed Day 😊
Thank you! You too!
Yes! I'd love to see the planter stand, that is an awesome design! And this is a really fun project, thanks for showing how to build it in an easy, accessible manner
I want to try. I work on a scroll saw mostly, but next year, I plan on doing projects. I already have a friend who will sell some things for me. I'm a little nervous about starting, but your videos are excellent. I think I might also try to join your group for a while
You've got an interesting opportunity, if you want - you can make some bigger projects, but add some details made with the scroll saw. It could be very cool and set your projects apart. Good luck!
These are awesome! Thank you again for these videos!
Awesome!! Thank you for the content
As always, thank you for learning me
Love it man!! You’re the best!
Another great build, thank you for sharing
Great idea as always. Thanks
Always good information
Awesome project looks great thx for sharing enjoyed it
Another solid build, thanks for what you do Peech! 😎🧢👓✏️
Nice!
Thanks for everything you do.
Once again Matthew awesome job
Drill holes in the side trim to feed a string of lights through!
Loved the video Matthew, been watching since last year and really enjoy the items you make.
Nice arch planter stand 🔥🔥
Beautiful trees!! Still working on the 5 tier planter you featured.
@MatthewPeech can you please do the same idea but make reindeer, snowmen/snowwomen and snowflakes on video too please
Awesome, Matthew! I think I'll try one using a floating frame style.
Making these! Looking forward to the how to video for Pop's project.
That is if i can wait that long before trying it myself.
Your skills are amazing, brilliant man. Keep up the excellent vids. Happy Holidays
Great tips and ideas as usual..

Great build. Thanks for the plans.
You bet
Keep bringing it!! You rock!!
Thank you! Will do!
Love you videos. Keep up the great work
Thank you!
Love this idea!
Thank you! 😊
Another great and informative video brother. Informative and inspirational. I primarily use the Standard 3M Cubitron paper for all my sanding needs at the moment.
These are great trees of all the wood tree types I believe these are my favorite, with very little waste at all. I have got to build these. Great gifts as well. Also I believe if you bored large hole in the body you could add a few ornaments for another look. Or drill small holes to a strand or two of Christmas tree twinkle light and accommodate the and cover the wire in the back by Cloth or ⅛ plywood or hard boad. Just a thought out of the box. By add these ideas you could add a lot more to the value.
Thanks Matthew, love these videos! Pops that looks awesome!!
Blessings ❤
Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤ thank you matt 😊 boy i love these Christmas builds
No problem!!
Another awesome project! Thank you for your videos and ideas.
And thank you for supporting the channel!
@@MatthewPeechWoodworkinglove your videos! I tell everyone about you.
I have a crazy question, what is the clear glue I see everyone using?
Those trees are so so cool! I love them
They are!
Those are really clean designs bud! Nice work!
Thanks a bunch!
Matthew!! Wow brother! Always pulling out the projects. Amazing work sir!! I saw you on 731 when you guys went to the “3m Lab”. Keep the videos coming my friend. Yes it’s ok to throw some tool information or whatever but I think it’s clear you really set the bar with thrifty, easy inexpensive ways to build stuff. Your audience appreciates you. You and Mr. Outlaw should do a build together. Maybe build him a shelf to put his tools he reviews. lol. BTW can you give some info on your dust hood on you miter saw. It looks simple and easy. Thanks again!!
Can you do a video on how to make whiskey barrels???? Those are super popular 🙏
Great build, color schemes alone will set this idea apart from others, most of all perfect way to make "smalls" with large payout. Great description and demo that anyone can do this to some extent, that's commendable to you Matthew.
"payout" only works if people buy. absolutely 0 interest in the 5-6 peech projects i have tried this year, but at least they are fun to make.
Love your videos. Awesome ideas appreciate how you explain things most dont. Your fence pickets got me to thinking what all i could do much cheaper than i can normally do things. With that said i made a noidle board from fence pickets. Would share with you but not sure how. But made with 2 cedar pickets and 22" from another. I made squirrel feeders from the remaining wood of all 3 pickets
❤😊really nice
Thanks 😊
Another great idea and video!!!! I can see a possible mod where you drill holes for short 1/4" dowels with a notch at one end so ornaments can be hung on the tree. I'm thinking like the flat hand made ornaments, photo ornaments, etc....
I would love to see that tree made out of an old door! Sounds cool and unique..... happen to have a picture of your old door Christmas tree around?
ua-cam.com/video/OfqN35Q7l5I/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Here’s the video on those.
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking thank you, just watched it and I love the old “as is” look of the old doors! Got my wheels turning on this one 🙂
You did earn a like on this one man. Too bad I am already subscribed. ;)
Lol thanks!
good video man! u definitely earned the like n subscribe lol!
Okay, as a beginner sometimes I either overthink, miss something or just get confused. Lol You said you were putiing the pocket holes in the 2nd & 3rd boards, but im guessing you meant 2nd & 4th since that would connect all. Did you misspeak or did I just not understand something?
1st class creativeness and a master craftsman, Matt. I for one and many other's very much appreciate your knowledge and putting these builds and videos together, thank you brother!
Matt hi I has make 12 snowflakes and I sanded all of then both side a starter to paint then white I used rust oleum paint and it will not take to the fence pickets I could use a little help thanks bill
Thats a great idea! Wish i could find cedar fence pickets around here. Only pressure treated available by me.
Ugh! I wonder what the issue is.
@MatthewPeech do you have a video that shows how to make that shield over your miter saw please? My miter makes a ridiculous mess even with the collection bag
Great build. Thoughts on doing pocket holes from the back to the frames...would that work? That way we wouldn't see the screws from the side.
Matthew what sliding compound miter saw would you use considering a very small shop or would you get a big style and cope with it's need for space, please?
