@taylor17221 I went to Southern University I was in the music department there. I was just asking but not out of disrespect. That my boy thats the drum major and i got to go to bat for him. Thats all. Man is everything at MBC is getting better
Man whay do yall want points for "we played it first back when the wheel was invented?" Yall did not start playing this song HARD until 2002 in the superdome to make the JSU crowd mad, and now it has YALL OWN crowd rocking LMFAO. The IRONY..I guess thats just that JSU swag..
I think, at the least, SU should retire Cold Hearted Snake from their field shows. lol DM had a pretty good entrance and dolls did much better this year than the last couple of classics...great job to them. Band as a whole was consistent as always, but it would be nice to see some new drills.
@LuvDaBoom Really??? Last time i checked GSU TNSU and SU played the show 1st back in 86..... The boom brought it back out in the 90s.... but dont ever get the idea that jsu started it..... We're not called the Human Jukebox for nothin.....
both bands did a great job but i say grambling had the more entertaining show while southern had the better drilling show. but i would take entertaining over anything.
Okay. The drills were great. The playing was stellar. But i was, from SU, expecting something more entertaining. I march. I dont think they sucked. But i was bored.
When you have a fear of getting booed for doing the same show that you've been doing for 40 years, feature a white boy, or a some fat guys or girls and you win the 1/2 show... Sincerely, SU Human Junkbox... smh DM was nice... everything else was a rerun.
@rofieldsboy WOW. You marched from '89 to '92 and you act like this?? Going off on youtube and coming up with childish names for a marching band? You must have PAID for your degree. (IF you GRADUATED) ONLY IN SCOTLANDVILLE...smh
That DM is the truth! Coldest since TJ!
I Love SU!!!! I was at the bayou classic even though they lost the game; they won the battle of the bands. C/O 2007 SU alum
Thanks for sharing.
I love SU but you are so right!!!!!!
@ 5:45...Camera Angle + Choreography = Kind of Epic. lol
Well Southern band is able to make all kinds of letters and numbers. they just have to pactice how to form the numbers or letters during the game.
tha score at tha half.
when I went to camp they said they practice all the numbers. 1-9
My dancing doll crush @ 5:54
@kevo954 I think they practice every number before the season starts and each group just knows which number to form before right before halftime
"Step by Step" by New Kids on the Block
