This song really hit me this week. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and these lyrics hit home and make me very blessed for my wife of almost 31 years
Such a blessed and inspiring thing for me. My relationship is on a swing carousel and we both try to keep it together as much as our young hearts can. Best of rock n roll wishes to you guys!
My Favorite. No 1. When I was 16,17 in 1986' I listened . Now , I am 48. Got a Grand Son. Married again. I still listen with my grand kids . And My New Kids who are , 3 and 8... Looking over your Shoulder . The Stronger the emotion..
Not to discredit the amazing talent on display here. Steve Vai is among my favorite, epic guitarists of all time. A class act. End of THAT story. On the other hand, while Coverdale has a vocal gift that commands acclaim and therefore must be acknowledged, he fails miserably in the humanity department, in my humble opinion. And you ask how I could be so cold and indifferent to Coverdale? Simple... I will NEVER forgive him for how he mistreated John Sykes and ultimately, therefore, ALL Whitesnake fans. The fans DESERVED to hear Sykes and Coverdale perform those songs from Whitesnake '87 live TOGETHER. And what new and even greater works were we deprived of consumption as a direct result of the abrupt and unceremonious cessation of their collaboration as a consequence of Coverdale's moment of hubris, ego, and lack of good judgement which ultimately ended that divine collaboration? Whitesnake fans will probably never know, because Sykes won't consent to a reunion and after the way Sykes was treated by Coverdale, I don't blame Sykes in the least for his stance. One day, David, you'll have go before "the judge" on this and explain why you squandered such a precious gift of divine and utter magic granted to few others among us.
Lol, you hate Coverdale for firing Sykes from the band? That's funny. I will always hate how he changed the band's sound just to appeal to the americans. Whitesnake used to be fucking amazing in the Trouble - Slide It In era!
@@ankihansen2489 American record labels decided the fate of every band...not the "americans". Most american rock fans appreciated the earlier Whitesnake albums too. 80's rock was already dying out at this time anyway, so it didn't matter who was playing what. Next generation of kids wanted their own sound anyway. Enter the 90's.
Funny that 30+ years later I learned why Sykes was no longer in the band. Could have gone to the grave not knowing. 30 years from now no one will remember or care. Just enjoy the music
Obra maestra sin duda, cuando la escuchaba estava con mis 17años en la playa en peñiscola con mis amigos, creyendo e el rey del mundo, mirando las chicas con mi inocencia aquello eran buenos tiempos
As a conissurer of singer's, I totally dug David's vocals and the lyrics were pretty tasty to boot ! I always wondered if guys liked or cared that Tawni got into the act? I didn't really like it.. Pam wasn't in any of Motley Crue's video's. Anyway... I had a crush on Jon Sykes and was bummed when he left. Loved Steve Vai too of course.
Kassie, I love you dearly I know it has only been two days since you passed away but I love you and will never love anyone else. Please watch over me forever and always!!😭😭😢😢😭
