This will probably be the only time I take my Halloween stuff down literally the day after. I need those four days to prep, because I am not rearranging all those decorations now lol
Since pumpkins were introduced I started growing, watering and selling them. 50 plants gave me about 50K bells every second day. I already moved my house to a new location and prepared the vegetable garden in front of it, including my pumpkin business. But the prepared locations for potatoes and more looked so empty so I added even more pumpkins ... more bells to earn before the update ...
I restarted my island about 2 weeks prior to the 2.0 update announcement, so that was super good timing lol I am right now collecting, etc. I am fast tracking and grinding to have KK Slider come, but I am soooo happy I restarted even though I lost all my previous stuff. For example, I have an entire area completely dedicated to farming. I already planted pumpkins (since they're seasonal) and I am also using it for my fruit trees (planning on having every type I can find). I put a super cute fence surrounding the entire farming, and I am also collecting every flower and color of flower in a different location. I am placing all the housing basically on the upper back parts of the ridges, spacing them out etc, and leaving only the shops and museum in the main part along with the town square. I fell back in love with acnh
I 100% love the new gyroid designs, (hot take) I was kind of dreading their return before I saw their new designs because in previous games I saw them as kind of a nuisance. You'd always get like 4 fossils and 1 pitfall each day guaranteed and so when it rained and gyroids showed up everywhere it made it more difficult to find the fossils, and I wasn't one to collect them because they were so creepy and took up a lot of space, and there were too many of them to collect them all. But these little guys are the cutest things i've ever seen and they are optional, from what i've seen, I'll definitely have a few of these guys around my house if its not crowded by all the dlc furniture lol
I’m flattening out my entire island lol, luckily I have like over 100,000 miles saved up for everything too. I’m just gonna redecorate everything since my island was messy + not set up to my liking. I’m really excited for the update though. it’ll be fun :3 hopefully I’ll be able to snag one or two of the new cute villagers for my island. I definitely prefer the new gyroids! They’re less creepy and easier to place around.

My brother was so excited for the giroids! In the older versions on the 3ds he collected all the giroids and he said that some where quite ugly, so he would store them away in backrooms, but with the new customization feature with the giroids he can match them up!
Im basically going to prepare for the update by flattening my "main area" (My residential area and other nooks are alright.) Playing tetris finding spots with my existing layout for the new items I want would give me a massive headache, so wiping an entire area clean to give myself a blank canvas chunk of land will be time consuming but easiest.
I have moved a flower field to make room for crops, other than that I have not prepared too much. My total hours are at around 1150 and ac felt boring during the last few months tbh, but with this update there will be at least 500 more hours of playing added haha. So excited for this update :)
Thank you so much. Having retroperitneal nonhodgkins lymphoma, I am in and out of the hospital a lot. Animal Crossing has helped me pass the time when I am stuck in the hospital. Your tips help me to make the best out of my game. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you for all that you do.
I can't wait. I already have a farming area but doing one for gyroids is big brain lol. I also have over 130,000 nook miles saved. My goal is to have over 200,000 by the update ! Wish me luck!
I'm literary 4 stamps away from finishing all Nook Mile challenges and already got a garden made for the new crops. Perhaps where I keep unaccessed fossils to prevent new ones, I can have a Gyroid Garden, which is very next to the museum respectfully. I'm very good on miles but I do hope we get more challenges to grind them faster.
Been watching this channel for about two years now and I'll admit that I haven't been coming back as regularly as I used to, but your voice sounds so much more confident and I'm so happy you've got more game content to use for videos :)
I’ve got almost 500k book miles so I’ve been earning more bells. That triple storage upgrade is going to be EXPENSIVE. Not to mention the cost of opening all the Harv’s island shops, the cost of redoing or adding more inclines/bridges, moving buildings for redesigning and the tons of brand new items to buy.
I already had a pumpkin patch farm. I made room for a lot more crops and I had to configure my patch a little. And finally working on my house and saving room for some new items, like the music box.
Mostly racking up nook miles. I need to clean up the flower farms I made getting hybrids, but not a lot else. Going to mystery islands for more resources is a great idea, though.
I'm currently trying to clear out my storage as I tidy up the island, especially as we'll be able to recolour items. I have a lot of areas that are full of things that I know I will replace with the new update, so clearing those up too. I'm trying not to stress myself out too much with it as I want to enjoy this new update for as long as possible, but I'll definitely be gathering more resources like you suggested!
I don’t understand why everyone is restarting their island. It’s not like they’re adding anything new that will completely change your island, you can easily work all the mew stuff in to your current island. I feel like the people restarting are the people who make their island perfect straight away and then get burned out because they’ve already done everything. That’s why I have been slowly changing my island and making it better over time .
I think a lot of people restarting stopped playing a while ago with half finished islands and don't connect to what they've got. They want a fresh start. I won't be starting over, Ive worked to hard to collect everything I've got 😅I also like my island too much to let it go
i think they reset cause they built a fully decorated island and resetting is faster than flattening and moving everything, plus with the new items it can give people new ideas for what they want their island to look like!!
I've been moving residents down to the plaza area to make room for the park items and terraforming for a new boardwalk down by the beach to make use of the carnival items. And I made a huge farm in front of my house after I moved it to a larger area since I plan on planting a LOT of crops when the update comes out, and I've been diving for sea creatures for some extra bells too :3
I'm basically flattening everything and moving all houses and decorations (that I can't store or sell) to the outside so I can fully remake and redecorate with all the new stuff And also trying to get rid of some villagers to make room for the new ones
Been meaning to buy a second Switch for a while for various reasons and this update prompted me to do it. Not sure how ready my second island will be for the update and DLC but one good thing about it is that I can use this island to harvest loads of wood that I can turn around and share with my main island. As for my main island, much of it I'm pretty set on and don't know how much I'll redecorate but there are some spots that I'm planning to maybe redo. One big section I already plan to rip up and turn into a big farming zone. Once I've harvest loads of new veggies and such, I'll clean it up and turn it into a proper farm setting to go with the surrounding area. Already got over 300k nook miles stockpiled and I've got 40 million bells saved which should be a good start. Started buying turnips again so hopefully I'll have even more bells in time for the update.
I remember by the time I actually finished MOST of the main nook mile things and had to switch to nook miles plus, I didn't really NEED nook miles anymore. I already had most my dreamies and all the mile items. I'm glad to finally have a reason to grind for them again especially continuously. It finally gives a use for the nook miles plus beyond those who villager hunt
As someone who filled their home religiously to the brink with gyroids in city folk, the OG designs will hold a special place in my heart, and also my ears. But being able to customize the new ones has me super excited. :) (also the sproid's were the best gyroid family in city folk without question).
The gyroid garden is a great idea! I haaaated the old gyroids, always sold them right away, but the new ones look great. And I knew there was a reason I’ve saved 220,000 nook miles. I’ve also minimised my dock decorations to make room for Kapp’n ‘s arrival
What I love in your vids is the contrast between your calming voice and the sometimes hyperactive text and editing in the visuals lol. But your new endcard character gives me the creeps ;-;
Preparing is good and all but Let's all just remember that AC is supposed to be fun, relaxing and at our own pace! We don't have to redecorate or use the new items right away. They'll be there for when we get to it :) love your videos :D
I think they're probably a clip from earlier in development of the update, it's common to use other graphics you have on hand while figuring stuff out.
While I've been missing gyroids, I rarely actually used them in the old games. I think I liked the concept of them more than the actual items, because the gyroids themselves actually kind of creeped me out. These new ones are SO cute, though!!! I actually can't wait to use these!
I reset my island before the update was announced and the first thing I did after I upgraded everything was make a small cafe outside the museum. Now that brewster's coming back, now it can be a nice lil outside area
After a year of being ‘done’ with my island because I didn’t have more ideas this made me finally decide to flatten everything and start anew, for once I’m honestly excited to play
I prefer the new Gyroid desings, screw the old and ulgy ones XD. Also I have made some pre-preparations on one spot on my island to fit in a small amusemetnpark section and I'm crossing my fingers its gona all fit in there XD 🤞🏻.
Very informative thank you! I've made a farming area ready to plant the new vegetables and I'm currently clearing my overgrown gardens in case there's new flowers and garden decor to add!
My entire museum is complete. I've visited a ton of museums in random dreams and I have yet to see a completed one. I am genuinely curious what Blathers says about museums that are complete.
Thanks for sharing this information. I may need do a few things to get ready before the update, but not many. Like making room in my storage for the new items that I may craft.
I’ve played this game daily for over a year , retired from work In July and have grinded wayyyyyy too much I’m at 3mill 500,000 nook miles . It’s become an obsession . Now finally this update I can blow a ton .
I wish they added new clothes in the update or bring back old ones from New Leaf. I miss my favorite hat that my character always wore which didn't return. 😓💔

That is a really good point about setting up a place to plant gyroids! Luckily I have an 'archaeology' house that I planned to set them up in, so I'll have to make a dedicated planted gyroid area near that house XD
I didn't think of making a gyroid garden, that's a neat idea! I'm currently moving my pumpkins to the new farm area I've made in preparation and their old spot would be a perfect place for a gyroid garden!
I started playing again after not having played for a while. I’ve been using my nook miles for nook miles tickets cause I had an empty plot and then someone I didn’t like decided to move out. I’m going to start saving them now for Kappn
Just to make sure I can prepare my facade walls ready for when the update happens, I put up fencing to get a enough idea of where I'll want them built in the future. This way I won't spend too long on this part of the island makeover. Although I still don't know where to place my storage spots. 😅
Oooh, I missed that Kapp'n takes nook miles themselves, not NMT. And I was preparing a crop farm area, but a gyroid farm area is a great idea! I can't wait for these funky lil guys, I like the new ones much better than the old. I also didn't think about stockpiling fruit and such, this video is really helpful.
I got about 200k bells so I’m screwed, I never could wake up in time on Sunday’s to meet that turnip lady, and when time traveling I always mix up the am pm and the second you mess up while checking prices 14 times in a week and go backwards you lose all the turnips.
Dang. Just spent over a dozen hours rearanging everything making neatly organized mini-fields for all the new crops. Then I watched this. "You may wanna set up a little space for your own gyroid garden". Crap... I forgot to make a place for the gyroids. Going back in!
Before the Direct, I was already redecorating my island for autumn/Halloween. I even moved some of the homes and businesses. Once the announcement was made, I stopped. lol Luckily I was already hoarding crafting materials and nook miles.
well I got about 60k miles saved up and got around 16m bells, a ton of materials and what I'm mostly doing is rearranging my island to make it look pleasant for me, I wanna do the nook tasks once brewster is around, so I can enjoy a cup of coffee after a hard day of work basically
i already did a bunch of terraforming to move my orchard so that i can have a larger veggie garden. i actually created a little too much space, so thats a great idea to do a gyroid garden!

But these little guys are the cutest things i've ever seen and they are optional, from what i've seen, I'll definitely have a few of these guys around my house if its not crowded by all the dlc furniture lol
and i think its need that you have to water them! thats a different take!
I love your pfp who is that character
@@YounganMar3921 her name is Yui Yamada! She’s from Kase-San. It’s a sweet, romantic yuri! It’s really good and the art is so good! They’re turning it into an anime I think, I already know there’s a short animated film. :3
@@diedrated ok thank for the Information
I have almost 300,000 because I really enjoy making full runs (harvesting all nookmile plus goals together), so I enjoy just doing the task and I hate going to nookmile flights bcos it's always the same three islands. So now, I'm bank.
@@Midorikonokami well that’s great so how can I get bells faster because I need help 🥺
My brother was so excited for the giroids! In the older versions on the 3ds he collected all the giroids and he said that some where quite ugly, so he would store them away in backrooms, but with the new customization feature with the giroids he can match them up!
I needed a video like this desperately. Thanks for the tips!
Im basically going to prepare for the update by flattening my "main area" (My residential area and other nooks are alright.)
Playing tetris finding spots with my existing layout for the new items I want would give me a massive headache, so wiping an entire area clean to give myself a blank canvas chunk of land will be time consuming but easiest.
God i cant wait!! I purposely restarted my island at the start of October to have a fresh start and grind and get back into acnh for the update
I like that you can customize the new gyroids.
I'm not keen on setting space for farming. But I share my island with 5 others.
You almost brought tears to my eyes by playing the music at the end of the video. It brings so many memories
I can't wait. I already have a farming area but doing one for gyroids is big brain lol. I also have over 130,000 nook miles saved. My goal is to have over 200,000 by the update ! Wish me luck!
How do I go about that?! I only have 9,000 😭😭😭
Thankfully for my wife and I, we both have collector’s anxiety and enjoy grinding so we feel pretty ready! Thank you for the tips!
Me, sitting pretty at 63k NM: Hee hee, hoo hoo, it's all coming together
Me sitting at 250k NM: My time has come!
@@cindygrant406 yes I’m currently at 150k 😅
I'm at 160K nook miles and over 100 million bells... rdy to go too!
I’m at 300k+ 😬
just flattened my island and am trying to plan out areas - would have NEVER thought of a gyroid farm that's genius
I already had a pumpkin patch farm. I made room for a lot more crops and I had to configure my patch a little. And finally working on my house and saving room for some new items, like the music box.
Everyone: gotta prepare for the update!
Me: let's restart my island completely from scratch ☺
Your cliff game is on point! I enjoy that you show your island off while you do these as its giving me lots of inspo
I won't be starting over, Ive worked to hard to collect everything I've got 😅I also like my island too much to let it go
i think they reset cause they built a fully decorated island and resetting is faster than flattening and moving everything, plus with the new items it can give people new ideas for what they want their island to look like!!
chels there's def more than one reason
Same but I've been playing all through since August 2020 and my Island town is still got a lot of work
@@k-coolrgs9578 I’ve been playing since release
I've been moving residents down to the plaza area to make room for the park items and terraforming for a new boardwalk down by the beach to make use of the carnival items. And I made a huge farm in front of my house after I moved it to a larger area since I plan on planting a LOT of crops when the update comes out, and I've been diving for sea creatures for some extra bells too :3
I'm basically flattening everything and moving all houses and decorations (that I can't store or sell) to the outside so I can fully remake and redecorate with all the new stuff
And also trying to get rid of some villagers to make room for the new ones
YES I needed this video from a UA-camr I like not just some random person!!!
Yes I need all these videos cause I have no idea where to even start
i literally love your channel sm your videos are so helpful and informative theres no bs or anything and your voice is so sweet too
5:42 the skinny mushroom is apparently a carrot!
I'd been saving for a villager hunt but now I'm keeping those 100,000 nook miles for the update!
Omg same!! I have so many NM and just ordered some Amiibos from Etsy instead of villager hunting 👏🏼🥰
I DEFINITELY prefer the new Gyroids over the old 😍!
What I love in your vids is the contrast between your calming voice and the sometimes hyperactive text and editing in the visuals lol.
But your new endcard character gives me the creeps ;-;
Preparing is good and all but Let's all just remember that AC is supposed to be fun, relaxing and at our own pace! We don't have to redecorate or use the new items right away. They'll be there for when we get to it :) love your videos :D
5:16
… What? Why are there mushrooms labeled “flour”, “tomato”, and “carrot”??
I think they're probably a clip from earlier in development of the update, it's common to use other graphics you have on hand while figuring stuff out.
@@kainapplekreatures5855 Fascinating! Thanks for your thoughts. :3
Make sure you have nook miles and etc to be prepared for the new update
Me who just restarted my island-WELL HECK-
Good thing, I have tons on nook Miles
reneigh calling that statue powerful just ended me xD
While I've been missing gyroids, I rarely actually used them in the old games. I think I liked the concept of them more than the actual items, because the gyroids themselves actually kind of creeped me out. These new ones are SO cute, though!!! I actually can't wait to use these!
I reset my island before the update was announced and the first thing I did after I upgraded everything was make a small cafe outside the museum. Now that brewster's coming back, now it can be a nice lil outside area
I have over 400,000 nook miles to burn. Can't wait to spend them on new things!
I've made a farming area ready to plant the new vegetables and I'm currently clearing my overgrown gardens in case there's new flowers and garden decor to add!
i have never seen a full art exhibit, it’s so cool😭
My entire museum is complete. I've visited a ton of museums in random dreams and I have yet to see a completed one. I am genuinely curious what Blathers says about museums that are complete.
Thanks for sharing this information. I may need do a few things to get ready before the update, but not many. Like making room in my storage for the new items that I may craft.
1. Get lots of miles!
Me, with 350,000+ miles: …I think I play this game too much…
I think my Mom has you beat lol. If I remember right, she has something like 800,000+. XD
@@amandagreene4990 You’re mom is clearly someone who does more Nook Miles + tasks than I do 😂
@@SatQuinn She almost always completes them. 😅
I’ve played this game daily for over a year , retired from work In July and have grinded wayyyyyy too much I’m at 3mill 500,000 nook miles . It’s become an obsession . Now finally this update I can blow a ton .
The new Gyroids are so cute and appealing, definitely the new ones for me
I wish they added new clothes in the update or bring back old ones from New Leaf. I miss my favorite hat that my character always wore which didn't return. 😓💔
I think there's a chance of new clothes
Rip BB shirt, I think of you everyday...
Please be in update lol
Werewolf hood 💔
I did NOT realize which statue Reneigh was looking at at first 🤣😂🤣 GIRL!!!
"Not to flex, but my art museum is complete."
I see you are a man of culture as well.
Bob's gang!
Edit: Like this comment if your museum is complete as well.
MIne is complete except for the art. Deep sigh.
@@factoidnerdist199 You'll get there.
Already have 350,000+ Nook miles and cleared out large amounts of my flowers to make way for the new furniture items and crops
Just to make sure I can prepare my facade walls ready for when the update happens, I put up fencing to get a enough idea of where I'll want them built in the future.
This way I won't spend too long on this part of the island makeover. Although I still don't know where to place my storage spots. 😅
haven't been this hyped/Happy in a WHILE.
Cannot wait to play with the update and DLC! And to watch your streams! I’ve been saving up the miles! Bobs Gang! ❤️
I love how you made your island! Very cool and unique!
omg i was looking for a video like this! thank you!
Before the Direct, I was already redecorating my island for autumn/Halloween. I even moved some of the homes and businesses. Once the announcement was made, I stopped. lol Luckily I was already hoarding crafting materials and nook miles.
also for bells there’s the huge storage increase so definitely save up !!
I've been hoarding nook miles for no reason and then Cappn is coming back and those 47k miles are gonna go to good use!!
well I got about 60k miles saved up and got around 16m bells, a ton of materials and what I'm mostly doing is rearranging my island to make it look pleasant for me, I wanna do the nook tasks once brewster is around, so I can enjoy a cup of coffee after a hard day of work basically
Thanks for the great advice 😁
7:05 finally someone who appreciates tad 😫
i already did a bunch of terraforming to move my orchard so that i can have a larger veggie garden. i actually created a little too much space, so thats a great idea to do a gyroid garden!
