I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Conrad Quinn I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I swear the Rode mics do something magical when they're in front of a loud vocalist. Every time I hear a singer really dig in when they're miced up with an NTK it just opens up in the most beautiful way.
This is literally THE video I have been looking for for the LONGEST! (like 3 days) But OMG thank you for the incredibly informational video. These are the exact microphones I have been looking at, but unable to differenciate... until now that is.
+Dhanesh Mahtani This video showcases the Blue Bluebird microphone. The light blue body color and the price are key identifiers: bhpho.to/1mYh4Wz Mark S
I think those rode mics are nice and rich, picking up more body in the voice, and does have a nice smoothness to it as well. The baby blue also does sound good, maybe a little too clean, but the Audio Technica seemed to be lacking just very slightly in the mid tones, compared to the rode mics.
Maybe it's because I'm not an audio guy, but the Blue sounded really good. Not typically needing this type of mic, I'd probably go to it as a first buy from this shootout.
i wonder how it would sound with the regular pop filter, as the plosives were distracting to me, though I did like it tonally. i wonder if the reason for that boomy plosive might be also part of the same frequency range as what I like about the tone, or if the same range was boosted on the other mics would they sound similar? For example,I also thought the second AT mic was mushy in the plosives to where they almost disappear, but I also rather liked the tones there as well.
Microphone cables and its length can change the characteristics of the output of a microphone! My cheap large diaphragm Tube Behringer T1 with a Russia Mullard, an old 7-pin Rode K2 cable, and a Yorkville Studio One 15' XLR sounds like a $2,000 microphone.
All these mics sounded great. I wonder what preamp they were running them through. To my ears, the AT 4050 and 4057 were the ones that sounded best. AT 4050 sounded great on acoustic guitar. AT 4047has a smooth kinda lo fi feel to it and handles sibilance well which can def come in handy
Great video thank you. I liked the NT1000. I'm an acoustic guitarist and I've been messing about with an entry level Samsung CO1U. What I'm looking for is a warmer, fuller sound than I'm getting now Would you say the NT1000 would be a good choice? I have to admit, I found parts of the video hard to fully comprehend because of the terminology you use to describe sounds!
+Jenny FTOL The BLUE Baby Bottle offers a wide frequency response featuring a small rise in the upper mid-range frequencies, enhancing signal presence and intelligibility. With a low noise floor and high signal response, the Baby Bottle is more than capable of accurately capturing vocals, stringed instruments, guitars, piano and more. I find it's sold midrange response to posess body and warm to vocals and acoustic stringed instruments as well. bit.ly/BlueBabyBottleCondenserMic Mark S
Rode NT1000 sounded the most professional, hard to tell on the Blue Bird since the singer did a softer intro (like more of a intimate or whisper esque sound)
Hey +RealWorld Endo We are using the lapel mic. I think we ended up including a bit of the room mic as the wireless lav was a little noisy for my tastes, and folding in the camera mic seemed to help with signal to noise while keeping things natural sounding. (In addition to using a bit of noise reduction software.) That said, if I had to go back, we'd probably use less of it. We'd also have done as good of a job monitoring the lavs as we did the main mics in the shootout! :) Ce la vie. Lesson learned, and looking forward to applying what I know now to the next shoot. Doing video is a lot different from studio work. Much respect to you audio location and post guys. That's a whole other worthy set of skills right there!
at4047 whoops them all , it has more professional clarity then the 4050, 4050 sounds like a 4040 just with smoother siblance but not by much and with multipattern, tottally not worth the 500 extra bucks!, rode nt1000 sounded like shit to harsh. the ntk was alright tho but still a bit harsh, for the price of that might aswel get an avantone
Great information but I was somewhat distracted by how poor the audio from the host & talking heads were during the microphone review!!! Kind of ironic! :)
I miss the Shure KSM series and for the first part I missed the Beyerdynamic MC840 and the Brauner and Schoeps stuff. And I must admit I don´t like Audio Technica at all. So this shootout wasn´t made for me ....
Don't know why but I find his voice hard to understand. The ends of sentences always drop off in volume and i can barely hear what he's saying without turning the volume way up.
I think it's his combination of his muffled voice character, the way his voice always goes into his throat (vocal fry), and the room reflections. Appreciate the video but the audio just irks me so much.
AT 5:16, AT 2 5:54, rode 1000: 6:31, rode ntk: 7:09, bb: 7:50
Jason Shrestha Thanks, Mr. Timesaver! 😃

one thing's for sure. the blue baby pop filter doesn't work
Its for show, I put it on the other side facing the camera and use a pop filter on the other side haha
💀
NTK sounds perfect on him
I swear the Rode mics do something magical when they're in front of a loud vocalist. Every time I hear a singer really dig in when they're miced up with an NTK it just opens up in the most beautiful way.

dudes the 4050 sounds so good! god damn! so full bros
I liked that Rode NT1000 on the man's vocals
I think I liked the AT4047 most for his voice.
That's the Blue Bluebird, not the Baby Bottle.
That sure as hell looks like a Bluebird, as opposed to a Baby Bottle.
+Dhanesh Mahtani You're right Dhanesh. That was my error. We've put up an annotation to correct my misspeaking on that one. Good catch!

+B and H I know. I pointed out the mistake.

Thank you! Mark
The bluebird sounded the best for his voice and that type of song I liked the brightness on his voice

Fantastic comparison video. Thank you.
Thank you for doing this! It is finally for my ears beetween 4050 and NTK... 4050 so loveable highs NTK so round bass and nice highs
AT4047 sounds like a record. NT1000 sounds like a pop song.
The AT4047 was my favorite, followed by the NTK. The NT1000 was really painful to listen to.
realy cuz it seems a lot of ppl love it for vocals.........the NT1000........i finally decided on it, now your scaring me again. So whats up man?
Oh it was so painful darling! The horror of it all..!!.!
Pshhhh... 😁
Finally happy that you mentioned the name of the singer... I was a bit concerned in Part 1 of your video. He is such an awesome singer.
Thanks guys appreciate the video, Have to say though for a video about mics and sound the audio during the chat is killing me. 🤣

I know this is all about the mics but great song I dig the performance.
Rode NT1000 sounded the most professional, hard to tell on the Blue Bird since the singer did a softer intro (like more of a intimate or whisper esque sound)
Blue bird catches all the singing I love that mic but I got an vanguard hasn’t come in the mail yet but I’ll get a blue bird real soon and do a test
Did you guys use scratch audio for the speaker? Looks like he has a lapel mic but it's not on! Right?

I love how that "pop filter" for the blue mic does literally nothing. Popping all over his vocal.
I'm surprised that you didn't include the TLM 102
great video !
No Avantone CV-12? Great video nonetheless. Thanks, and God Bless!
excellent quality ! i like rode, i think blue bottle is popping "P" plosives hit too much
Fito Antonioli The Blue Bottle cost $4,000...

this is excellent
They all sound almost exactly the same on my studio headphones. -E
Bluebird
AT 4047SV should have been added
I'm pretty sure that's a bluebird lol
Professional audio guys... Don't mic each person for the interview... Lol
Tim Kyle appreciate don't hate!

Shure KSM 32 is fantastic.
You sound like Norm McDonald
I think the ntk
opps you did add it, my bad ;-)
Aston Spirit.

That "Control Room" Sounds HORRIBLE.
Sorry to much room to hear the character of each mic on your voice, until the singing.
Ntk
Just because it's a video on sound equipment shouldn't mean you don't have to set the white balance on the video camera 😂.
