They all sound great, but I think the 414 BULS is my favorite. Love how it cools down the brightness and provides a little tightness in the low mids. Great mic. The guitar and playing are top notch too. Excellent comparison, thanks!
Hello Joe. I have a question, when you are playing live or recording in studio, where do you put your AP5 Pro microphone? I can't see it through your guitar's hole
Hi there - I don't use the guitar pickup for recording, but when I play live the AP5 mic is basically in the middle, maybe a little closer to the treble strings than the bass strings.
What's the placement of the mic on each recording? I can't see because of the perspective. 40cm in front of the soundhole and just above? Sounds nicely Tks for your video
Great job Joe, good to get to hear the comparisons. The tube mics sounded the best to me, adding nice colour and warmth to the tone, whereas the solid state were more clear and clean, maybe more accurately capturing the sound. Dam my expensive taste! I have Rode mics which are ok for the price.
There are some $200 mics in this comparison, even some $100 options. Good to listen and hear the subtleties and understand the characteristics of the classic mics 👍🏻
I was thought I dont know how to record myself, checked prices of 2 of the mics you mentioned in the video now I know sub $1000 should be the sound of mine.
You can create great recordings with less expensive mics. In this video you can hear the characteristics of some classic mics to help train your ears to hear the tonal differences. There are countless great microphones at much lower price points. Cheers!
helloooo sirrr , hope you re doing great , welll we d love if you cared and played Change the world ~Eric clapton the live version, its a very nice toon and im sure you ll surprise us with an extraordinary Arrangement ♡

Sir thank you . . i Love to hear guitar music. Electric guitar. .
Thank you for this.
Joe, my preference is the C12. Sounds wonderful.
are you ok to pay 10 000 € for a mic ?
Great info Joe!
Joe, my preference is the C12. What a wonderful sounding Mike.
yes but the most expensive. AT4033 is ok too
Its incredible how sensitive the U87 is, and how much it picks up. Is it the same preamp setting with every mic?
Yes, same preamp and I did my best to gain match all the mics. In the course I compare the mics to iPhone, USB, ribbon & dynamic mics

Hey Joe!
What is the config my computer need to have to do the course with no problem?
I have a very old laptop 😅
You can take the course with any laptop (or phone) but I’d recommend a pair of headphones or speakers for the best audio experience.
