If the electrics are likely to get we as in my case, I'd go with a waterproof 50a fuse holder. if the electrics are inboard such as a boat, the circuit breaker is a better idea. Just carry a spare fuse, so you don't end up stranded.
Yeah I have some of that, but its conductive, not great around contacts and connections. It originally had grease, and I'm only nursing it on another 6 months till I replace it.
Thanks for the inside tour. Do you know, or can see. if the head of the motor can be reversed as to rig the motor on a bow, not transom? Cheers
The only thing going on in the head is a single bolt through the shaft and wires leading in. I don't see why that wouldn't be possible.
@@TheAussieRepairGuy Thanks for the info, and super quick reply. Much appreciated 😎👍
watersnake looks a bit like a star wars battle droid
It does now you mention it
What kit do you recommend for the 50amp circuit breaker or fuse kit?

Where did you get the small volt gauge you installed? Did you have a link?
That was an aliexpress special, if you search aliexpress, ebay or other similar places for "self powered volt meter" you will find them.
@@TheAussieRepairGuy thanks for your help. Very appreciated!
Graphite powder would of been your friend in these situations id thought 😉

That can be easily rectified - probably worth doing actually, this thing cops a hiding as the 8x8 has no suspension
