      @@butttbiter in Norse heathenism, the world tree is symbolic, and the cosmos really expands and sorta looks like a system of intrensic webs. Like a membrain, and that ragnarok is that going backwards in time. Is our societal colapses a hint at our ever lasting struggle to becone a super civilization? To where there will be no wars? I'm unsure, and maybe we won't even last any more longer than 45k years.

      @@MagklJellyBeanPastelLucidDream I played God of War about a month ago, and went through a spree of getting really into Norse mythology. So I'm familiar with Ragnarok and some of the wider themes of the religion(s). I think you're really onto something there, and I think it was the same point the film tried to evoke - much like the birth and rebirth of stars from which we're all made, our lives are woven together by time and history is circular.
      I despair sometimes that humanity might be too self-destructive to go on to be a type 2 civilisation or even leave Earth. It might be common to all sentient life, which could explain why there is no evidence of alien life. Hello! How are you? If you need someone to listen, someone to talk to, or a friend. I am here to talk, listen, and be a friend. Know that you are amazing and have rights as a human. Please have appropriate action for anything that you know is wrong. Anything that seems bad or wrong in your life right now will get better. Please don't do what is wrong, fighting back and harming others will not solve the problem. Please understand that and do the good thing. It will one day come back to you. The people in the world are so much more than what we know about them, not everyone opens up about the beautiful things and acts they have witnessed, not all those amazing doings are acknowledged. Please understand that and know that. If you feel like no one cares about you, know that I care about you. Together, we can be a better community. Stay safe, healthy, happy, kind, understanding, positive and strong!

    I rewatched this movie today after six years, and I cried like a baby at the ending scene. I didn't quite understand much back then but I remember some of the scene from when I watched this as a twelve or thirteen year old and I remember this scene vividly. One of the most remarkable endings to a film ever, it captures the essence of the entire film through stephen's theories. They perfectly rewind time to the starting of their relationship, it's beautiful. Everything is perfect here, even the music. i cried so hard, I remember thinking back then up until now, that Stephen could rewind time and every now and then, i would wonder if he could, would everyone feel it. if Stephen could rewind time, could I go back in the past again, to the beginning, to when I was more myself?

    • @alesmind
      @alesmind 3 роки тому +1

      I feel we can all do that. I always tend to believe that to dwell on what is a memory doesn't do us any good, but as humans we just can't help but get inside our head and search for some memories that rekindle something in us and I feel Stephen would often do that. I feel his humor at all moments was often a way for him to seem less vulnerable, although I believe he felt he never cherished those youthful moments enough and that's why the movie starts with him riding and dancing, just so it can be quickly taken away from us too. I cried too at the ending for I too am 20 and watched this movie unable to grasp its meaning and I cared I think because at the end of his story we see ourselves in it because we too might feel stuck and unable to do anything but wishing to turn the clock back...

    i just purchased this movie through youtube and i feel like shit for have not watched this masterpiece before now. this really has to be one of the most beautiful and heart warming movie i've ever watched in a while. especially the ending. that was just enchanting than anything. i should've watched this movie back when Dr. Hawking was still with us. i hope that now he feels true freedom from everything that has hovered him over for decades and now finally figured out the equation of the theory of everything. i remember when i was about seven to eight when i first discovered him through a biography book and to be honest his' story was the most extraordinary to me. i always thought 'those' people always lived happy lives, got completely everything they desired and was blessed every single moment of their lives. but it turns out they were human too, he was human too and had very hard times of his own. i admire his fearless attitude and his lifetime devotion and sacrifice toward science. i had a dream to meet him one day. this brilliantly intelligent, inspiring, down-to-earth human being will be missed very much.

    I like that after all she said, he replies with “look at what we made” as if the think this is his everything, and that’s ok

    I have never cried for any movie, no matter how sad people claim it to be. I've often laughed at people for crying in movies. But this scene makes me cry every single time I watch it without fail. Hawking was a huge inspiration for me and was the one who introduced me to the amazing world of astrophysics and cosmology. My entire life it was my goal to meet him, and I've always deeply admired him for both his scientific success and his miraculous personal story. The meaning behind this movie and this specific scene is so immensely powerful to me, it's extraordinary. It will forever remain my favourite scene in cinematic history. Astonishing. Rest in peace, Stephen. You will always be remembered.

    I think a lot of people misinterpreted the meaning of the rewind before the credits scene. I believe that the rewind refers to the Big Crunch of the universe. Stephen Hawking is a major supporter of the big bang theory. And in that, one of the possible fate of the universe is the big crunch where the universe would recedes and crunch back into singularity again. And what's really profound about that scene is that, in the most minute way of life, when the big crunch happens, there was a guy called Stephen Hawking that has lived an extraordinary life despite his disability.

    Remember the winding clock of Jane and Stephen on the grass in the very previous scene, and the moment Stephen and Jane talking about which time Jane wanna go back in the Spanish timeline. "Look what we made" is a greatly valuable line of Stephen, as Jane is talking about the honor of his ex-husband being knighted by the Queen, which is "extraordinary". But when looking at the kids, the only thing comes to Stephen's mind is his family, and that's all he want, it's much valuable than those knighthood.
    I'm not arguing if Stephen or Jane still had any feelings for each other at that moment, but for sure Stephen was really happy recalling the time he was with Jane and the kids.

    I've always loved this music. There is something unusual, beautiful, magical, cosmic. Going back in time during this music is something wonderful. The scenes that most catch my heart in this video are when he is riding a wheelchair with a paper bag on his head, riding a wheelchair with children and the moment when he could just walk a few moments ago. My heart always squeezes and tears run down my cheeks. Amazing music, amazing actor, amazing story of an amazing man
