Sunday 10/21 11am EST Walmart has this on sale thanks to James! Here is a link

Just purchased two to back up my 560 cabin in grid down situation...thrilled to hear I can piggy back them.
Westinghouse has been around for over a century. Between the units I do like the additional handle and of course my favorite color of blue. Other than that I prefer the EcoFlow Delta with all the extra features and price point. I would like to see them join forces because the reputation Westinghouse has I believe to be a good one!
Great video ,I just found the Westinghouse unit and am going to pick it up .Thank you for the good info and for doing a great job with the details .I am now a subscriber.take care and keep up the good work.😎
Carolina thank you appreciate your feedback good luck and happy new year
Holy crap this is uncanny, I was gonna ask you this specific question and you already made a video about it. Awesome stuff man, thank you for your hard work. By the way I was able to get Home Depot to price match Walmart and get a military discount on top of that so I only paid $850 for the Westinghouse. Happy with the purchase and glad I didn’t buy the Costco deal.
Wow that’s awesome and hey more importantly THANK YOU soo much for your service 🇺🇸 💪🏼
Thanks for another great video Tech! 👍🏻
Hey there you are, mostly see ya on facebook. Glad to see you here on the channel Lindsay
Thanks for sharing. The display is the dead giveaway. It's really the same display they just replaced the circular percentage info with a battery bar.
Nice video and very helpful, thank you.
Thank you
Not surprised. The OEM will probably have a few brands they spec and build for. Internals may differ slightly as well as a few other differences.
Finally got my hands on these. It’s quite a bit smaller than I anticipated. I thought it would be bigger. From a logistics perspective it’s a good thing.
The westinghouse?
@@TechMadeEzy yes
599 at home Depot couldn't resist
The quick charging isn't the same, that's the benefit of the Eco flow battery packs.
My first impression before hearing any of the specs was that I much preferred the handle configuration on the Westinghouse. But when I saw that it takes twice as long to charge from AC (I plan on using a 1900W gas powered inverter/generator to top it off while camping), and that it weighed 8 lbs. more, I was back to leaning more towards the EcoFlow Deltas. I also think the 500 cycles to 80% vs. 800 cycles to 60% comparisons are smoke and mirrors marketing jargon.
Thanks for your insight E
Thank you.
Thank you Charles
I like the blue color
you can also get eco flow remanufactured on eBay under their store
Hey Tech guy.. I just found your video here because i was trying to research the westinghouse model. I HAD THE ECO FLOW AND SENT IT BACK ABOUT A WEEK AGO!!!!!! I thought the eco flow was the best from everything i had researched prior to buying it. BUT this is what happened. ( before i tell you what happened i want to make it very clear that before i bought the eco flow, i was looking for a portable power station i could use for camping, wanting to use my full size juicer and pressure cooker and electric heater. The juicer is 1000 watts, and the pressure cooker is also 1000 watts, the heater has two settings, 750 watts and 1500 watts. The eco flow delta i bought advertised 1800 minium watts to 3300 maximum watts ( nothing about any "surges" ) So based on all the videos i watched prior to buying the eco flow, i was certain i could use any appliance from 1800-3300 watts without having any problems. : / HA HA ON ME! I WAS WRONG ABOUT THAT! When i first got the eco flow it was charged only to 25% and advised me to first fully charge it before using it. I did. It took about 1 1/2 hrs to fully charge using a home outlet. The eco flow fully charged read 99hrs available! I first charged my lap top ( less than 100 watts ) and my electric heater on the lower setting of 750 watts. I had them both running through the eco flow together, and it was great! ( for about 2hrs! ) : / THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE ECO FLO SHUT OFF!!! : / Yes! COMPLETELY SHUT OFF! I checked it out, and apparently it was out of power! But how? I had a full charge of 99hrs of use, and i was only using less than 1000 total watts of power! how could i be out of battery completely after only 2hrs of use????? : / I had to wait until the next day to call customer service to find out what happened. When i called them and told them what i was doing and how it shut it off after only two hrs? They told me I was using TOO MUCH WATTAGE! : / NO! I WAS ONLY USING EXACTLY 850 TOTAL WATTS! AND I STARTED WITH A 99hr BATTERY CAPACITY AND ONLY GOT 2hrs!!! ON 850 WATTS!!! : / WHEN YOU ADVERTISE THAT YOUR POWER SOURCE CAN CHARGE 1800 WATTS WITH A MAXIMUM OF UP TO 3300 WATTS???? THAT TO ME MEANS I CAN USE AN APPLIANCE OR SEVERAL THAT ALL ADD UP TO 1800 WATTS AND BE ABLE TO GET SEVERAL HOURS OF POWER FOR THEM! AND, I CAN STILL USE MORE APPLIANCES IF I WANTED TO, UP TO 3300 TOTAL AND MAXIMUM WATTAGE!!!! BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED AND OFCOURSE I DIDNT USE ALL THAT WATTAGE.. BUT THE ECO FLOW IS BEING ADVERTISED AS IT CAN BE USED FOR JUST THAT!!!! I SAW A VIDEO BEFORE I BOUGHT THE ECO FLOW THAT SHOWED A GUY DEMONSTRATING IN HIS KITCHEN THAT THE ECO FLOW 1800-3300 WATT MODEL ( THE MODEL I BOUGHT ) COULD KEEP HIS FULL SIZED 6ft. REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER POWERED FOR A WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT!!!!! : / THIS IS WHEN I SAID TO MYSELF, THAT THIS ECO FLOW IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!! AND THEN BOUGHT IT! IMAGINE MY OUTRAGE WHEN I EXPERIENCED WHAT I EXPERIENCED! WHICH IS NOW WHY I AM RESEARCHING OTHER PRODUCTS AND SENDING YOU THIS LONG STORY! I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU MR. TECH GUY? IS THERE ANY PRODUCT OUT THERE RIGHTNOW THAT WILL DO WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS IT WILL DO??? I EXPECT TO USE MY JUICER FOR 10 MINS, THEN USE MY PRESSURE COOKER FOR 15 MINS. THEN CHARGE MY COMPUTER FOR ABOUT 2hrs, AND THEN STILL HAVE 95hrs OUT OF 99 LEFT FOR USE!!!! : / ANY THOUGHTS???
You might want to look at a Delta Max with an extra battery or possibly a Delta pro, or as a last option take a look at the Bluetti AC200 max
Let me know what you think
@@TechMadeEzy I have looked at those products. THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. Im going to just get another eco flow delta and make sure i dont use my appliances for too long! : / Merry Christmas!
To determine how long a power supply (any battery powered source) will last under a given load, you need to divide the Wh rating (in your case, 1260 Wh) by the total wattage of the load. So, your unit should have lasted 1260/850 = 1.48 hrs. You said you got approx. 2 hrs, so that is inline with the above. The 750W heater is the killer here. IMHO you would be much better off using a small catalytic type propane heater (in a properly ventilated area of course) for your camping needs and just use the "solar generator" for the appliances and re-charging of electronic devices.
The 99 hrs remaining was most likely what it was saying you would get out of it when no loads were applied. Once you plugged in your 850W of loads, it should have re-calibrated itself and given a more realistic reading. This is much the same as the estimated miles until empty messages you get from the newer model cars while you are driving vs when it's idle, going uphill vs going downhill, etc., etc.
@@ES-mq9ox THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING ALL THAT TO ME. I NOW UNDERSTAND. AND WAS RIGHT! THE COMPANY INTENTIONALLY MISLED EVERYONE WITH THEIR MARKETING VIDEOS HERE ON UA-cam BY SAYING AND DEMONSTRATING DISHONESTLY, THAT THE ECO FLOW CAN CHARGE UP TO 6 OF "ANY" HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND ANOTHER 7 SMALLER DEVICES ALL TOGETHER FOR SEVERAL HOURS! : / SO I PAID $1300.00 TO BE ABLE TO CHARGE SMALL APPLIANCES FOR A FEW HOURS!!!!!! : /
Was hoping you would plug something in..
Hi Benjamin, if I do a testing video that will be included. Wanted to keep this as short as possible, thanks for watching
Can you do anymore testing with your Western house generator With solar panels
I gave it to a good friend that needed a generator so no testing for me but there’s more coming up with some of the big boys from EcoFlow, some with solar panels and some solar panels by themselves to see how they perform. Thanks for watching have a great night
I have one of these that I used during the hurricane Ian power outage. I'm buying 4 more, I'll run my gas generator an hour every day to charge them in the event of an emergency. The existing unit I have will be charged by a solar array and powering my 1/2 hp well pump.
How is this product? Any complaints??
@@aaronweiser5421 No complaints, but I did a bit more homework and switched over to buying the Ecoflow Delta 1300's. You pay on average $13 more for the battery, but get 25% more storage and charge at a rate of 1000 watts rather than 500 watts like the Igen1000s. On solar connection, they both charge at 400 watts max. They've clearly came out of the same factory. The Delta 1300 is a really good deal in today's market.
I'm going to tether My Westinghouse Igen1000s to a solar array in the event of an emergency to power My 1/2hp well pump. I'll charge the Ecoflow Delta1300s with my generator.
Ok i have a question, can you leave these units plugged in at all times even if its alkready charged up do they have automatic shut off or will it over charge
@@aaronweiser5421 They won't "overcharge" it's the equivalent of leaving a laptop plugged in, which you can do for many years. I charge my units to 100% and store them.
Definitely just a repackaged Ecoflow Delta and a new colored accessory box.
it's ALMOST precisely the downgraded version of the Delta 1300, called the Delta 1000, from the original crowdfunding campaign with a River Pro handle on the top, but slightly downgraded(by 100 watts) continuous and surge output wattage.
Hi. Thanks for sharing! I bought the iGen1000s. I was charging a tablet after 15 minutes it starded to make a beep sound. The beeping sound stop and it's working. ¿Does anyone knows what the beeping sounds means? The Power Station was 91 % charge when this happened. I already contact Westinghouse service and they respond that they don't know nothing about a beeping sound.
I recommend calling the manufacturer
Ok, thanks!
FYI this is $869.49 at Amazon and Walmart, feel free to generate an associate link and make that money man.
Wow nice it went on sale cool Thanks James
Wow Walmart has it on sale! Here is a non affiliate link guys www.walmart.com/ip/907742029
It is made by ecoflow for westinghouse.
Chris? Where are you been man
@@TechMadeEzy haha some of your videos I just am not knowledgable enough like lawn care etc....
This Westinghouse iGen looks like a ripoff of the Ecoflow Delta but with lesser power.
i mean the big draw is the name ...westinghouse has been around for years and that spells reliability ...or does it.
It depends on who you talk to but yes it does have brand recognition
They are same 😜😜😜
Westinghouse repackaged the Delta..
It’s exactly a River pro
Pro handle for sure but Pro is 720Wh
@@TechMadeEzy mine is 1440wh
Yes with the 720Wh external battery it doubles
I hope you grabbed that sick Costco deal $699 that was a great price
@@TechMadeEzy I did!!
It has the body of the Delta and the handle of the River. Looks ugly.
After watching the video the Westinghouse looks like a cheap ripoff of the Delta.
It's really cheap.....
