Looks like an oversized bedside alarm clock, would be great if they added a clock alarm and radio so I can just keep next to my bed for emergencies. Adding an LED light bar in the front or side would be awesome too….

The wireless is worth it for the cables alone given the cost of them. Bonus is wireless charging and the usb-c. No brainer.

I purchased a River 2 Max after watching your comparison and review videos. Although it’s the UK version. It’s a brilliant power station but surprisingly heavy for something that small. I wanted something a bit lighter to carry around in a backpack and have ordered the UK version of the River Mini wireless but still did a search to see if you had done a review. I am pleased to see it’s a good review from you and I made a good choice.

In a way I think Ecoflow made a wise move to give consumers a choice. For me I don't need those added cables because I'm just gonna use mine around town.

I didn't want to spend the extra $100 to $150 (depending on offers) for the wireless version. So, I recently bought the standard (due to previously buying the River Pro I had the solar charging cables already) River Mini new for $149 and added a USB-C 30W fast-charge car-adapter ($17) to be plugged into the River Mini cigarette plug port. Also bought a 100W AC charger with XT60 adapter ($33) to be able to slow-charge the River Mini and limiting the charge-level to 80%, so to help prolong battery life. So, now my River Mini has USB-C fast-charge and AC slow-charging for a total price of $149 + $17 + $33 = $199. And I like that I can control both, my new River Mini and the River Pro, with the same App.

Can you tell me if I can use the ecoflow 160W or 220W solar panel to charge the ecoflow river mini without damaging the unit by over charging..? I know the river mini is only rated at 100w 8A 39v max, I think as long as the solar panel doesn't go near or over 39v I'm ok..but not sure. Thanx for any help.👍
Yes the 160w is rated under 22v so you are fine. I wouldn't bother with the 220w you wouldn't benefit from it in the case.

Nothing worse than piano black for me! I suppose I'd have to get the cheaper version with no wireless! Otherwise these great for a compact power station.
I hate the glossy finish, but the missing USB C on the non-wireless was a dealbreaker so I went with the wireless glossy version.

USB c is the smaller version of USB that some of the newer Apple iPads or many of the new android phones have , it’s used to charge devices. USB A is the larger one.
@@TechMadeEzy but wait. So my phones uses USB C to charge. I plug the c side into my phone. And the bigger side into adapter. Oh wait you can get double ended. Never mind haha
Yes you can use that same cable on the power station or buy a C to C cable and get a faster charger

When it starts up it takes about 170w then it uses around 40-70w then 0 because it's very efficient
Thanks for the review of I kant take it with me globally then there is no point to get one. EcoFlow would be a better option for just taking on the road.
Great video. Do you know how many times can you charge a laptop or your phone on one charge?
It all depends on how many watts your phone and or laptop requires. A phone, definitely more than a few times. Laptops vary, some use alot of watts like gaming laptops etc. Here is an example, say your laptop uses 40 watts and you want to run it for 5 hours that would almost use the full capacity of this mini power station. They should of added a handle that folds down and up.
I have to say this thing is pretty light and the area they have in the back of the unit where you can put your hand works pretty well.

No just 1 way but you can charge via solar or DC besides AC

There will be blackouts in my area soon. I need a generator for work (6 hours a day). My laptop is a powerful gaming machine. The capacity of the battery is 90 Wh. I'll also configure my phone as a hotspot (a Xiaomi Mi 9). So I require it for 5 hours per day (assuming laptop and phone batteries will last one hour).
Is it better to get the River Mini or the River? Which do you believe is the better option in my case? It will only be used to charge a laptop and a phone.

What’s the wattage? If it’s a gaming laptop then I would say get a River pro, it’s also expandable it has an add on battery but the wattage is important before making the purchase

River pro and the expansion battery is fine but I might also say if you have the budget and want even more protection get a Delta 2 that's coming out this weekend, watch my launch video Friday at 8am

It all depends on your wattage and surge, I might recommend a River or River pro to be safe
Did it really run the fridge compressor? Seems the compressor tried and shutoff.
Hi Howard, Yes, it's a 300w unit that surges to 600w, compressor using at most 170w. Would it run it for hours, not really because it doesn't have a large enough battery but I could connect solar and have solar charge it while it powers the refrigerator. Thanks for watching

That new app is a shit, it can not change AC frequency to 50 Hz for non US users. I had to install old app to use my River in Europe. :/
