Westinghouse iGen1000s - Stress Test - 12/15/2021

Quick stress test of the Westinghouse iGen1000s Portable Power Station. 3,000 Peak Watts and 1,500 Rated Watts, 1,008Wh Lithium-ion Battery.
Using a 1,200W rated Panasonic microwave.
The power station only lasted a little over a minute on full power, pulling 1,900W and causing an overheat shutdown.
Reducing the power level to 9, the microwave pulled 1,600W for a full 3 minutes.
There are few videos out there of this power station, before I got it, and wanted to share how it performed.
I purchased it for 869.49 at Wal-Mart. Free shipping and 90 day return. Also, sold at Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Amazon. Other retailers may price match on top of any other discounts you may qualify for.
Planning on using this for a food cart with a solar panel on top of cart. Also, another nice feature is this power station will recharge in 2-3 hours via AC. However, since it is only Li-ion and not the much longer lasting LiFePO4, this power station is only rated for 500 cycles to 80% which is about 1.34 years. But it is one of the most affordable and powerful power stations available today.
