A French 75 is our go-to Friday afternoon drink. We like to keep it very casual, though. Make a double (or triple) using a can of sparkling wine, throw the whole thing on an insulated cup, and knock out the Friday afternoon Zoom meetings no one wants to attend.
Anders, congratulations on 250,000! A huge achievement and it has been absolutely amazing to see you grow from the small channel you used to be. I look forward to you hitting 500,000 and hopefully, we can get some merchandise soon!! Cheers
Watching this right as I got home from work from a busy Mother's Day brunch service. Enjoying a dram of pot still Irish whisky. Great video! I always forget about the Corpse Reviver #2, that sounds right up my alley.
As a Mexican from Sinaloa we constantly use Clamato in plenty of seafood recipes but more importantly for our micheladas so to see it finally being incorporated in a cocktail was great! I’ll definitely try a Bloody Caesar immediately.
Anders and Az….. I totally look forward to your videos so as to increase my cocktail repertoire. I thank you for creating a wonderful, enjoyable, educational UA-cam site! And good luck to the next 250,000!!😀
I’ve always used Clamato for my Bloody Mary’s. Didn’t realize I should have been calling it a Caesar! I’ve also always added a spoonful of horseradish to it too. Give it a little more heat and a nice touch of flavor!
I am planning to make French 75s for our Sunday brunch. But with a twist, raspberry simple syrup and lemon juice in there. They are a huge hit with the family. I may need to grab some clamato juice too!
@@AndersErickson Half an ounce of good home made flavored syrup made a great drink even better. Not to mention a light pink tent. Give it a try sometime! Mint simple syrup takes the same drink into a whole new direction as well.
Raspberry and lemon are one of my favorite flavor combos. Used to work at a gourmet ice cream shop and my favorite item was limoncello sorbet with raspberry syrup.
Corpse Reviver No2 is my favourite for waking up. I once brought it as a cocktail in a bottle for a colleague when he was taking his exams...it was Easter. I thought it appropriate, because either he would come away from it as a corpse or as somebody who needs a pick me up. He came back as a corpse and it helped perk him up. I wish you a nice Mother's Day!
Great Mount Rushmore of Brunch Drinks, good to see the Momisette make your cut. Now Anders, you have to make room for a stylish Italian on that list. The highly customizable Spritz. For me, the Summer Fling (Natasha David) is delicious and it will be flowing this Sunday. The great thing about the Spritz - so many variations you are bound to find one you love. So many to chose from, one day I hope to learn which ones you and Az fancy.
The use of clamato juice, worcestershire, and hot sauce in the bloody cesar reminds me of a staple of Mexican brunch : the Michelada. Do you have any good Michelada recipes?
Dude! Just found your channel tonight and I'm loving all the videos. I've been getting in to making cocktails at home. So far I made a solid old fashioned, margarita, and bloody Mary/Maria. Looking to up my cocktail game!! 👊
Any chance you'd put together a pdf with all your recipes? I'd happily pay for the privilege! I really love everything I've tried from you! Got the ford going now, and excited to try these brunch cocktails in the morning :)
Yes! The Corpse Reviver #2 has long been my favorite gin cocktail and I'm so happy hearing you say how much you love it. I usually add up to a 1/4 or 1/3 once of the absinthe to give it some licorice punch as I love that flavor with citrus. Now I need to try the Momisette at your recommendation since I love absinthe. Cheers!
Mothers day will be for the Mother of my children, day seven since she tested positive for COVID-19. Made her a Martini today and that was her for the night.
Not on a toothpick, no. The beans are usually longer than the glass, so they just stick in from top to bottom along the glass length. You eat them after you finish the drink, and they're delicious after absorbing some of the Caesar flavour! I even mix some of the pickled bean brine into mine to give it an extra salty/acidic kick. It's really tasty! Definitely recommend it!
So, new to the channel and as bartender at a beer and whiskey bar in (technical term following, also comment if you do know) bumfuck nowhere Alfred, NY. I do like absinthe as well and when Anders said, "Now if you really like absinthe, then you're gonna love this next one". I perked right up because no one really ever features an absinthe forward drink!
Hi Anders, lovely posting. I have most ingredients but lack Clemato juice & Topo Chico sparkling water. Nonetheless, all recipes noted. I have made and enjoyed the French 75 & Corpse Reviver #2 before. Keep up the good work! Nick from York
Always love your videos. Have been making a lot of your cocktails. I am missing absinthe for these cocktails. Which one do you suggest? I love good and plenty!
A lovely video as always! My best friend and I introduced the bartenders at one of our locals to the French 75 about 3 months ago. I guess we ordered it enough times (at night) that they actually put it on their brunch menu haha! I think it was because I kept saying “the mimosa is the worst brunch drink.” Hahaha. Keep up the awesome work!
Hi Anders - for the corpse reviver which absinthe do you recommend should be used for this drink? I’m not too familiar w absinthe and was going to make the drink you demonstrated. By the way you have an amazing channel hands down. Always look forward to your new videos!
I vaguely remember having a Momisette last year. “Vaguely” because that absinthe might as well have been NyQuil. It was so delicious and excuse me I think I’m gonna lie downnnzzzzzz…
I can't drink it with absinthe with 60%. I just use Pernod at 40% and it is powerful enough to knock most out after 3 or 4 of those because they are so easy to drink!
@@azusainaba258 We need a video of Anders behind the camera, you in front while he is giving you the tips and directions how to make the drink! It would be a challenge to see how well you follow directions and how badly he gives them.
I see you used Valentine Vodka for your Bloody Caesar. Being a metro Detroit, this made my day. They're only a few miles from me. They also make a terrific gin named Liberator.
First time I was in Dallas I tried to introduce my American friends to the Caesar. Unfortunately the Clamato down there is not the same or as good as in Canada. Still better than a Bloody Mary though.
Just sent this to my mom so she can pick one or two for me to build along with home made brunch on Sunday. Hopefully I have or can acquire what I need by then...
Hey Anders! What's your take on ordering drinks that are not in the menu? I'm curious because none of the places I have around me have classic cocktails but many have a decent bottle selection to play with.
Favorite day-drinkin' drinks?
Cesar. Letterkenny S10e02 has some great recipes
A good Bellini gets me happy and moving. 🤣🤣
A Bee's Knees or a French 75. Nice sipping drinks!

HAHAHA!!! You did the exact same Worchester oops in our video. Thanks for the shout out my friend! Great vid! Cheers!
The original ceasar has horseradish in it. Give it a try, it's delicious
Add a dash of pickle juice, and you have yourself a drink!

Awesome. Had never associated a Corpse Reviver with brunch…but I do now. Cheers!
So good anytime! Cheers!
Its actually called a corpse reviver because back in the day people would drink them at breakfast after a night of drinking!
Love caesars. Super easy to make non-alcoholic as well, though the texture isn't quite the same. Add lime or a pickled bean for a nice twist.
Screw the comments section - I love the list videos. Please keep them coming!

Hello Anders. Great stuff, as always. I love those mini carafes you use. Do you know the brand?
Caesars are the national drink of Canada. Vastly superior to the Bloody Mary.
Bloody Mary is trash compared to a Caesar. I always recommend a Spicy Gin Caesar to anyone giving it their first try
I completely agree. I loved the Caesar from the first sip!
I came here to say the exact same thing! We are Caesar people in Canada. Spicy green beans as garnish is bomb too.
Huh. Seems maybe alotta people in the states make Clamato bloodies and don’t realize they are Caesar’s!
But they shouldn't be. Absolutely vile
Hi Anders. Could you do a video about super juice?

The umami in a Caesar is what gives it the unique component that a Bloody Mary doesn't deliver.
