I have been watching for a couple years now. I also watched all the older ones. Your weekly videos are very professionally done. You have come a long way. GREAT JOB!!
Hi Chris. Absolutely love your videos. I subscribe to a few other overland folks on UA-cam, but I find your channel one of the best. Your laid back style and quiet way of talking makes your videos very relaxing to watch 👍
Pizzas looked great till you broke out the spinach, ahhh! Hope you had a chance to visit devils tower passing through Wyoming, if not next time through. This is some exciting country, glad you see you finally visiting SD. Make sure you hit up Deadwood, Keystone and Mount Rushmore. Also some very nice scenic routes you can take out of Custer. Enjoy Chris and Godspeed !
You all missed the first annual North Idaho panhandle Overland Rally. It was a blast. What a great venue. 90 + acres of trails. These guys did a superb job putting on this event. They had dispersed camping throughout the forest. Everyone had their own spot, just like a campground. Wish Chris could have been there.
Thanks for another inspiring video Chris. Utah still has warm weather. I'm hopping in my jeep and heading there in a little over a week. I'll probably start with a pilgrimage to Moab then [venture] to other parts of the state in whatever direction the adventure pulls me.
On behalf of all ranchers your closing of gate appreciated, appreciate your vids but not the rude answer I received last time when I asked in a polite and considerate way about closing gate, and once again with respect I thank you
@@markymark903 Tend to agree thank you for your comment, I tried to be considerate at possible in my original comment, but I guess you cannot please all , I was very surprised at his comment again I thank you
What a remarkable location!! The formations are unique as if carved by hands. Also, we just had spaghetti dinner ourselves before watching your video! Cool video too!
Hey Chris...we love your channel and going to head soon....to some where. I saw you tool pouch you use and want know where you got it. I checked on Blue Ridge Outfitters but couldn’t find it. Appreciate your time to let us know. We both just turned 76 in August and you have inspired us to check out some of your adventure spots. Have driven between San Diego and Ft Worth, Texas several times a year for 43 years and missed all of the jewels you shared. Did Borrego Desert and you even showed us what we missed. Thanks for your content and we watch you every night....never gets old. Thanks, Jim and Judy
GORGEOUS SCENERY COLORS ! CAMPSITE WAS BEAUTIFUL & SO WAS THE WEATHER ! STARTING TO GET CHILLY HERE IN MARYLAND & LOVE IT ! ENJOY YOUR TIME TO RELAX & GIVE ORANGE SOME TENDER LOVE & CARE ❤ ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED ! THANK YOU !
awesome as always! as for your tp / paper towel problem, maybe consider dropping the extras off at the local food bank on your way out of town, it's probably not far from where you shop and won't cost you any extra.
I don’t know how much time you spend on shooting and editing but you’ve got some of the most polished imagery on UA-cam. Wouldn’t think that a guy riding around in a Jeep could be that visually appealing but its hard not to watch. Thanks!
So excited to see you in our neighborhood! Lol! I hope you stopped and ate at the Burger and Bun? Phenomenal place to eat!!!, if u get a chance drive down to Carroll creek and Mayo in the Beaver Creek Part of the NF, and dont forget the wildlife loop at the custer state park, lots of prairie dogs! Lol! Ok keep up the great videos!
Hey Chris It was great to follow your enjoyment of the Big Horn Mountains and Ten Sleep. During the virus shutdown I have been listening to the Joe Pickett novels written by C. J. BOX. Joe is a fictional game warden who lives in Ten Sleep and his area of responsibility is the Big Horn range. If you haven't read any of these 20 novels... they are incredible!
Thanks again for taking us with you. And good luck with the Jeep fixes. It appears you're having the notorious Chrysler bad electrical ground issues with the light, door, and perhaps more. Petty easy fix for a handyperson most of the time. Best!
I am heading to South Dakota week of October 12. One of the places I want to visit is HuGh Glass monument.. it’s nothing big but he is one of my iconic pioneer heroes. Revenant was the movie “based “ on his ordeal.
Two of my Fave places and stomping grounds back in the day! The Big Horns and the Black Hills. I grew up in north west WY in a little town called Pine Haven. Gotta agree Scott's 1000 is the best bang for the buck TP. Let's see your in Custer. Well you might want to drive through Spearfish Canyon if your heading north, north east. And you've probably already thought about it but you should definitely check out the Badlands. One of the best mornings of my life was when I woke up in the Badlands after driving in late at night and sleeping in my truck. I awoke deep in the Badlands to a mid September sunrise and a heard of buffalo surrounding my truck. It was so spectacular!
Majestic and Stunning night skyscrapers. Be a great time elapsed picture. Paper towels & T/P - Walgreens or Rite Aide sells the pool perfect amount needed. Were you able to spend a evening at the Sheep Mt Fire L/O? Again, time elapsed pictures. Awesome footage this week. Better by the week. Keep up the good work... thank you
Hi @BigRiver! The gas heater is working very well. It was repaired this past spring. It’s prone to carbon build-up at higher altitudes so I only use it sparingly in high altitude situations.
so ,been going back and watching some of your videos...all i can say is ,awesome ! what an amazing adventure....so you dont still have your apartment ? watched the first one, now will go back and watch the rest. enjoy,be safe
If you are going to be in Custer, SD for the coming week, can you give us a review of the Pizza Mill restaurant? A family member of YTers You, Me, and the RV owns it.
I love the Big Horns. My favorite place in Wyoming. Ten Sleep brewery is pretty awesome place. Next time your there.. try a beer called "Speed Goat" its amazing. I live in Wyoming. Come on back anytime. Safe travels.
In india, I have been watching u consistently for about 2 years.ur life is like sages ,moving around in nature.i want to live like this but am scared of the loneliness.
No need to be afraid of loneliness, atleast in India. Why? Because in India we have lots of people everywhere (so being lonely is out of question) And if you find a place without people there are plenty of wild animals.
Great vid, I have snowmobiled in both the Bighorns and the Black Hills many times, beautiful out there. If you need a place to crash and recharge I’m just east of there into Minnesota. You are more than welcome, hot shower and a place to crash? Take care and be safe. Always enjoy your vids.
My wife and I love the channel. We have a 91 Land Cruiser we use for treks across CO. We also go to SD (Black Hills) once a year and if it weren’t for the freezing winters we’d probably consider moving there. I hate to say it because I don’t like being critical but I was so disappointed that only 8 minutes of the “Black Hills” video was in SD and it was mainly just saying how little there was to do. Ugh soooo sad for me to see!!! 😢😢 There are a lot of off-road communities there. Please consider going back and if you can’t find some good options connect with some locals on where to go. I live in CO, grew up spending every summer in MT, OR, and WA and I’d still say the black hills is one of my favorite places in the US. Anyway, keep venturing forward!!
The Black Hills are indeed gorgeous! What you haven't seen is the week I took off (right after this video) was spent with friends mostly exploring the Black Hills, and we most certainly found some amazing trails - I was apparently poking around in the wrong place at the end of this video. I hope to get back there next year!
Another great video Chris! You’re definitely an inspiration. Some rough napkin math makes me wonder how many days of your life have accumulated on airing up and down your tires? Ever consider a tool like the morrflate to help you have some more time? I’ve been playing with the morrflate+ for about a week.
very nice video. I subed. I think you should play music between talking. Nothing loud because your video has a peaceful vibe to it, just something to make it not feel like sound is broken.
I would be immensely interested in any routes/paths on either the west or east side of the Wind River range. The interior of the range there is the Cirque might be the most beautiful landscape in the lower 48 rivaling Yosemite valley.
Thanks Thomas Robbins! The gas heater is working very well. It was repaired this past spring. It’s prone to carbon build-up at higher altitudes so I only use it sparingly in high altitude situations.
I buy single rolls of TP and paper towels at the local Dollar tree. Also buy most of my camp foods there as well; weekend of food and drinks to cover a weekend camping trip cost me less than fifteen bucks my last adventure. We will miss you next week but you deserve the break. Enjoy!
It is my privilege to watch your vids and not your obligation to provide me entertainment so you don’t owe me a reason for not meeting a timeline. Thank you for sharing your videos. 👍👍👍
Definitively needed this 30 minutes break from all the craziness.

It was at the Purcell Trench Ranch about 15 minutes south of the Canadian border.

rob greene basic understanding of farm/ranch gates.....if it is open...leave it open....closed,close it.

IVE STAYED AT THAT FIRE LOOKOUT! Beautiful views, it was a wonderful stay!
Thanks for another great episode. I"ll say it again, what really makes these videos is the lack of that stupid music everyone else adds.
I totally agree. tires running on the gravel, wind, the running water adds relisiam.
