Well. I agree with you kinda. It really depends, Meta definitely requires more skill than EDM but I dare to say an orchestra is much more versed than most if not all metal bands.
But that's just my opinion.
Love this, if more people just opened their minds and just gave metal a shot they'd realize metal has some of the best music ever created.

Screaming is all about practicing. I sounded terrible the first times but I practiced in the car so no one can hear me. I never thought I could do it. But now I can scream at an acceptable level without laughing about myself lol :D
yeah its actually not that hard to scream/growl just need to use your diaphragm
I have to have just the right amount of liquid in the back of my mouth to do it right or it sounds like trash. When I can do it right though it's some of the deepest most cavernous growls I've ever heard.

Once you drum.. you never miss a beat. Generally people who never play an instrument tend to miss the beat when headbanging. It comes from focusing on the vocals too much.

I'm a massive metal head and funnily enough about 11 years ago is when I got into metal and Psychosocial was the first song that I was exposed to. I love this song so very much and I appreciate others seeing the greatness of this song.

For some reason, I had not seen or heard the Ozzy version (yes, original).
And when I heard it later, I almost started to laugh....
I seriously though there was something wrong with the recording. I mean, come on, that Ozzy version is just horrible! Singing sounds out of tune and guitar sound is like someone trying to iron a cat. It's like the song was recorded on c-tape and transferred from that, with tape player which batteries were nearly finished, so the speed of recording would vary xD
Well, maybe I would think differently, if I had heard the original back in the day, with a bottle of whiskey under my belt... But still... ;)

Guys like Jim Root, one of SLIPKNOT's guitarists, are so creative, like when listening to their song "Custer", Jim gets that vibrating sound by turning his pick on it's side to record that weird vibrating sound. He even shows how he does in a video somewhere on youtube.
