- This is an unboxing and review video of the classic Seagull (or Seakoss) 1963 mechanical chronograph. A very beautiful watch with an even more beautiful movement inside. A beautiful chinese military airforce classic.

Is Seakoss reliable as a seller on Ali market?

Lovely watch! Is it sapphire or acrylic? And how is it doing after some months? I am thinking of getting one as well, from the same seller.
Sapphire 38mm. The seller is very nice. 😊 The watch performs very well, it still has zero scratches even if I wear it often. The movement is very accurate for the price. The only thing I don't like is the strap, only after few months of wear it starts to fall apart a little bit, which is not that beautiful.
@@PanaSonyc Thank you for the reply - that's some nice feedback. Yes I figured the straps are super bad. I'll change it right way, the moment I get the watch. Will use a hand-made actual leather one (I'm thinking rally style, with two the vintage stitches on the top) and a deployant buckle.

The whole internal movement cost less then a dollar to buy in China for majority of these watches. When buying internal movements in bulk prices get even cheaper then a dollar. The original seagull version from seagull official store is listed for almost 700 us dollars on aliexpress doubled in price over a year 🤣
Yes. I'm not interested in the original Seagull, since it has a solid metal caseback, so I can't see the movement. And 700$ is way too much for the same I have in the video👍🏻
@@PanaSonyc yes I also lost interest when I discovered the double price rise to 700 dollars for 1 dollar movements 😆
@@aaaaaa6583 I never seen this movement being sold for 1$. What I saw is quartz versions of this watch for 30$. You can get a watch like mine for about 160$… and it is also with a display caseback. So it's even better than the original😅.
And even mine is basically an original Seagull watch, since ST19 movements are only made by Seagull, and whoever made the case isn't that important.

@@PanaSonyc yes my friend in China confirmed this to me the movements cost 1 dollar to buy. My friend sells watches in China. You have to be big company in china to get the wholesale 1 dollar price for internal movements. Enjoy the watch. Not many people know how cheap the movements actually are in China...
@@aaaaaa6583 Well, that's how the world currently works, you have sell for more to make out a profit. It's amazing how well the movement is made for 1$👌🏻 one of my most interesting watches
