D. enny Laine for ever
OMG.... I remember having an argument with my girl friend ..in 1964..i was 20... i went home (walk). and mum. got up nsaid well are you hungry .. narrrr. !!! mum so i put the TV on and GO NOW was. being performed ..I though Wow.. what a beautiful song... and as. my. girlfriend said "Go Now" RIP. Denny ..years. later in Sydney Australia I bought Ahhh Laine .... Next year i will be 80.. Thanks Denny... you was the best ... ie ...one reason I emigrated to Australia in 1968 was the girl friend and GO NOW... I did..!! Thanks. Denny ... RIP
Wow! That's so sweet of you to say Terry🤠, I actually didn't expect to get such a beautiful comment from you. Thanks so much for being such a huge fan of my music🎵. Well I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music. Could you kindly tell me how long you've been a fan of my music???
Great video. It’s a great look back to an earlier period of the Moody Blues. Really enjoyed Go Now. I like the piano interplay in several of the sections.
Oh! Thank you so much for being such an amazing fan of my music Sir🙏🤠. I hope you never stop being a fan and also stop listening to my songs🎶. Well could you kindly tell me how long you've been a fan my music???
That's Ray Thomas and his contributions to the Moodies is amazing. No one plays the flute like Thomas and his own compositions will remain some of the Moody Fans favorites. For My Lady, Veteran Cosmic Rocker. Legend of a Mind, etc.
Curiously enough, I think the two best Laine Era songs are "It Ain't Necessarily So" and "Bye Bye Bird", both among Ray Thomas' best performances ever. This performance of "Go Now", however is an excellent one. Denny made the song his own, which is undoubtedly why it was his signature piece ever after. I did find myself thinking "Bye Bye Bird" to myself a number of times years ago when my son was in a particularly toxic relationship.
Except Laine and Warwick were replaced with Hayward and Lodge and Pinder left the band with Moraz taking his place. I have to say that this isn't the same band that wrote and performed Wildest Dreams. Just the name of the band remained the same.
Great stuff too bad Denny wasnt too into it for long until he was in Wings with Paul McCartney but anyways the Moodys turned into symphonic rock with Justin and John
not the best singing lol on bye bye bird lol funny denny came to my town a couple of weeks ago and did a hour acoustic show and talk and told stories it was great he seems to be a good guy he just should have not ran to hustler magazine and penthouse telling bad things about paul back in 1982 thats why paul wanted nothing to do with denny for many years- he said , paul made us sleep with the pigs and dogs in the barn lol
He was with the Moody Blues for only a year and a half and yet he's being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April as a Moody. Yes, he was one of the founding members, but the style of the Moodies from 1966 and beyond, completely changed the style of music and why they are famous today, over fifty years later.
mikelheron20. I completely disagree. Laine had a monotone that sounded like every other lead singer. Justin had a wider range with an ethereal tone on high notes. I couldn't listen to Laine very long.
Does anyone realize the moody blues were not the original? Listen to this GREAT ORIGINAL VERSION written by Larry Banks & sung by his wife, Bessie Banks: ua-cam.com/video/prlWGe2EHro/v-deo.html

Rip Denny Laine
RIP Clint, Ray and Denny ❤
Wonderful live performance! The original Moodies were a fine live act!

Denny sings, plays harp, plays Keys, and plays guitar! No wonder McCartney wanted him in Wings!
James Paul McCartney had nothing to do with Wings.
The like this version of The Moody Blues too, this lineup had some heart in their performances.
Happy Birthday DENNY LAINE.~
Great video. It’s a great look back to an earlier period of the Moody Blues. Really enjoyed Go Now. I like the piano interplay in several of the sections.
I love Denny, he's just mesmerizing.
He was better in Wings. Just joking. Wings were shit.
You're right. But why is that?
Buzz off Oswald Wings were KickAss@@zapkvr Sheesh.??

Absolutely wonderful piece of history preserved here--thank you!
Great live performance. The original Moodies are my faves and this song is a classic.
Denny Laine rocks it

Paul has found the greatest guy for his Wings.
Yes, William indeed has.
One of the very best 👌👌
Great band and song!
Never seen a professional tambourine player before. Man does he get into playing it!

spot on love the moodis a brummie
I’m
For the longest time I thought this was Paul McCartney. Didn't know Laine was in the Moody Blues until recently....lol
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing this is the same group that did Wildest Dreams.

The Moody Blues should have kept this song in the setlist.
They tried but nobody could sing it with it's original impact.
so many women in my life I have told this to..
Great stuff too bad Denny wasnt too into it for long until he was in Wings with Paul McCartney but anyways the Moodys turned into symphonic rock with Justin and John
Shit rock I think is the correct term. Wings first album was 1972, Band on the run. This is 1965.
Denny Laine rocks. Best part of Wings in my humble opinion of course lol
Wings could not have been Wings without Denny ❤
Prefiero la version con Ray cantando la guitarra de Justin y el buen bajo de John
not the best singing lol on bye bye bird lol funny denny came to my town a couple of weeks ago and did a hour acoustic show and talk and told stories it was great he seems to be a good guy he just should have not ran to hustler magazine and penthouse telling bad things about paul back in 1982 thats why paul wanted nothing to do with denny for many years- he said , paul made us sleep with the pigs and dogs in the barn lol

SpectorTippy He was a better lead singer than Justin Hayward and far too good for that Micky Mouse band Wings.
