UA-cam!! What's up everyone! Finally did it! Trunk lid will finally pop up all the way when opening it. It's a super easy mod, only a few minutes and bam! Magic!

Hi Sky! Thanks for watching my videos! I tried to reply to your message on the GT500 video but it seems I can't. Yes, the holes do line up. But on the left n right sides only one. But it's good enough. The middle holes are good.

So what happens if you only install one side? Would that slow down how fast it opens or does it not provide enough force to open it all the way?

Hi lynex83.. Great question!! I actually did just that and saw that only one was not sufficient enough. The trunk would not open. However, I found that with time, the struts to wear down a little and doesn't open as fast as when new. Certainly well worth it for sure. One of the best mods for sure.

So grabbing the trunk, after you unlocked it, is annoying? Is it as annoying as inserting a key to unlock it?

Hi Michael, absolutely. On a black car, grabbing the trunk to open always leaves finger prints. Also, sometimes hands are full carrying things so, not so convenient to put them down and open the trunk. These trunk struts are way better and get smoother over time.
