For the pelican on LNOS it comes in to dropoff marines in infinite waves to fight off infinite covenant waves dropped off by spirits at the beach. I think cause you skipped ahead the first engagement on the beach the infinite covenant never spawned so the infinite pelican delivering the marines never arrived as well
@@zachwilliams2597 you are correct on this, moving too fast will cause it to skip some scripts, in order to do it properly, you actually have to do it like you didnt have the skulls on, not only that gotta be careful shooting otherwise it will sly up to its original spot
I noticed this issue too, I would agree with you but it seems that the most recent update to MCC broke all of the facility ai parts, no dropships, and even the seraphs firing at the facility and anti air guns are all not working or shooting too, even when playing normally which sucks until they fix it.

Back in the day playing Halo 2 online... honestly, sometimes all combat would just be done away with and people would be like "Hey dude... wanna see how to access a weird part of the map? And then EVERYONE would be jumping and crouching and doing all sorts without a hot fired unless maybe a grenade or missile is needed maybe?" I dunno, been years, I'm a Millennial, most of us is like 30-odd years old now, leave me alone I have a receding hairline and I'm not particularly happy about that lol
If you go to the end of the gondola ride, trigger the checkpoint, then jump to the human gondola, you can find two SMGs floating in air. They both shoot automatically if in air or in your inventory (the will run out of ammo if in your inventory). You can quickly juggle them into the hallway that triggers the ending cutscene in the original H2 on XBox or PC (Vista) but not on MCC. If you land the guns just right you can get shot during the cutscene. I have yet to get killed but I have seen characters shot.
I was playing Reach once on the level The Package. And I did the trick to get the falcons, and I flew off as far as I could right between the two furthest and biggest mountains. I hit an invisible barrier at some point, but then I turned the falcon around, I saw a big floating button glitching above the falcon. I wonder if I had a teammate on top if they could've pressed it or if it was just a glitch.

23:39 the reason the Pelican bounced you off is because there's a weird bug with the Reach physics in MCC where if you start rising in any way whether it be in an elevator or standing on air craft, it will make you float and play a falling animation which will kick you out of armor lock and then you'll slide off the Pelican.
They really need to fix this cause it ruins so many things in the game. I thought I was insane when I went back and tried to do this and it didn’t work cause I remember on original reach it worked so easy. I remembered this video too if a guy getting out of the map on the package on the phantoms at the end but when I tried it recently again it just would unlock so I’m glad I don’t appear to be losing my mind lol.

This is a new bug that i noticed from the recent 7th of December MCC update, no seraphs or anti air guns firing, as well as those dropships, makes the whole level empty when you reach the doors
Just watching as a group of friends casually have fun exploring halo campaign makes me so jealous. Half of my friends don’t play halo and the other half only play halo for pvp. I really would love to be able to do this with a group of people one day.
I was thinking the same thing, me and my best friend growing up spent probably months of our lives doing stuff like this in halo 2. Bounce jumping and going out of bounds in multiplayer levels. Doing the glitches and Easter eggs in the campaign like the sacral gun. I miss the time and my friend frequently.
20:19 I don't think the Pelican Turret is a glitch since you get an achievement for it, I think it's more of a Secret like the stuff in the New Alexandria mission.
In MCC Halo CE: Anniversary: did you know after you run the shield diagnostic in the beginning of P.O.A before going to the bridge, if instead you go stand next to any of the cryotubes in the room, a headless set of Mjolnir armor will appear in the tubes? In Chief's it is obviously his armor, GREEN, but all the others it is WHITE or SILVER!!!! Stand next to it, look slightly away from it and it will pop in and out. You must be in the OG graphics as well. Anyone else know about this one or did I discover something?
I played "Quarantine Zone" a few days ago with the acrophobia skull on and actually managed to get into the game ending room, I flew as high as I could against the top of the doorway in there as fast as i could and managed to beat the trigger for the cutscene, in the room there are atleast 10 of those big mechanical machines that have those Sheilds just destroyed or disabled in there, the little pit in the middle doesn't go down very far at all and that's really all that is in that room in the end, also the index key you can see Miranda grabbing isn't in the room only for the cutscene of her grabbing it.
On Exodus, if you're fast enough withOUT acrophobia, it's completely possible to just get there before the phantom does and watch it drop off the shade turrets.
5:00 I did this before, so if when you save Johnson and use the arachnophobia skull to fly into the scarab you can get inside WITH Johnson, they just delete him after the cutscene is over.
The default model for the energy sword is with it extended, which then has the light covered over with something invisible to "turn it off". The Arbiter's active camo is overwriting this and showing that the full sword is was usually exists in engine
i love seeing this stuff, as i went to school for game design is this kinda stuff is like behind the scenes of a movie kinda thing where you need to set the stage for an event that's about to happen but a large part of this the viewer never sees so there is no point in modeling or building that set. this also shows the thought process of the devs at the time. like for the turrets that are dropped at 14:30 they probably wanted to have the ship come in and drop off the turrets as you approached but realised that as soon as the turrent became an entity it bounced around and didn't set into place reliably and most likely opted for this happening earlier on in the level and loading into a static object once the player reached a checkpoint.
8:22 this reminds me of something odd from Dark Souls 1 pretty early in the game, there's an area called Undead Parish which (unsurprisingly) has a church in it, and there's a boss fight on the roof of the church the distance from the edge of the roof to the ground is just short enough that the fall should be able to be survived, *however*, I assume because of the boss fight, there's a kill box (aka death barrier) that prevents survival of that fall under any normal circumstances
There is also a Phantom you could've used in Long Night Of Solace in Halo Reach. That was always the first thing I used to glitch off that map. I think it drops off the wraith.
I like that the kid you and I both really wanted to go see those tanks by the light bridge in H3. I also wasted a dumb amount of time with acrophobia trying to get down there.
@21:10 something must have been changed on MCC. As soon as vehicles start moving armor look deactivates or you still hit the barrier while the vehicle leaves you. I've been able to cheese my way through barriers from time to time doing the drop shield spam technique but armor lock no longer works like it did on 360
On 343 Guilty Park, you can also spam grenades right away while you're in the starting Pelican and you'll stay inside instead of jumping out. You can then ride it out of the map until it crashes not far from the placeholder marine. Something curious about that marine - if you were to use bump possession on him, you can actually pass load barriers in the level which you normally can't do when you bump-possess NPCs. Makes you wonder.
Interesting that the reach shade turret actually got updated to the players (likely more accurate) position when it switched from the theater game sim.
In halo 2, if you time a sword fly just right, you can get on the scarab before Johnson. He will jump up and you have a chance to follow him in. He is in the scarab, but kind of just standing in the center. Not at the control panel

You can also do this to the scarab on the Ark when you first see it and take it out of bounds, kill it and it will spawn into the normal gameplay with two legs and soft lock the game.

If you jump and hold the action key at the back of the pelican you can hop in and it'll fly out of the map and crash. Not much purpose to it, but was fun. I found a couple of weird things in the water during the the Great Journey and uprising. There was this enormous box with flashing lights and some pieces of covenant vehicles that were prolly just involved in modeling. Most of it is on my crappy old chann3l. Don't judge lol
On Quarantine Zone, when you use the acrophobia skull and get close to close to the Pelican flying over the zone, the marine on the back will shoot at you on the turret
28:28 I climbed all the way to the top before in the past while playing co-op campaign, and when my girlfriend activated the elevator button, Tremonius briefly spawns at the top just before the cutscenes start.
I've been in that spot on the bridge with the skull, but I so achivd getting on the bridge back in the day jumping on a Sentinel and using it to stand on the tank. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand the kill barrier then so I killer myself a few seconds later after it took forever to get on there by stepping off of the tank.
In Quarantine Zone as the gondola ride ends you can hear some SMG fire that is supposed to be the humans fighting the flood. If you get over there fast enough, you can find that there is a floating SMG that's loaded in to fire and provide that sound effect. You can actually pick up this SMG and it will always fire six round bursts. Once you have it, it will not despawn on you, but even once it runs out of ammo it will try to pull the trigger; if you reload it, it will resume firing 6 round bursts.
in halo ce on the level halo when you leave the escape pod and when you cross the bridge and kill that elite in the banshee i’ve allways wanted to fly it down to the bottom it looks like their’s a beach down there and I’ve allways wonderd if its the beach from silent cartographer level
8:17 when I was beating halo 3 legendary killing all marines, I learned so weird things and honestly if rocket sloth could actually playthrough it as well that would be amazing. Anyways those marines down there have really broken ai where they would almost never shoot you.
My favourite out-of-bounds areas are the ones on Halo Reach Exodus mission or you can go on to the lower parts of the city and you can see how far the cities go down and up and just kind of Explore especially the area where the elevator is all the civilians are kind of cool seeing how detailed some of the parts of the city are you another out-of-bounds especially if you haven't modded to where you don't die to the kill barrier you can really explore it's kind of cool

One thing none of the youtubers i have watched have shown is all the places you can get in banshees when your not supposed too. The main example i remember from back in the day was the bridge tank part in halo 2. Driving the tank across the bridge some banshees fly around shooting. You can snipe the elites feet and take the banshee. There are invisible anti banshee walls all around and at the end of the bridge stopping you from taking the banshee into the tunnel. Specificaly anti banshee wall too. You can walk through but not take the banshee so the dev's knew you might fly in. There are other banshees in the game that you cant pilot at all. So its some kind of "non drivable" flag that the dev's can set for some levels or parts of levels. I fondly remember the first time i beat halo 2 on legendary by using the banshee on Tartar. Gota wiggle it into the room. Also you can do that in Halo 1 in the 2 betrayals level i think.
Oh also you can totaly get out of the space station mac gun thing level and walk around the station and the ships docked. No idea how it was like 20 years ago LOL.
Hey In the ark with the tank part you can jump on top of the little drones that fly around when they spawn and it’ll take you all the way down there and you can ride the tanks allmost all the way you should try it
Idk if you meant you want to get to the light bridge via jumping or you want to go through there in general (and I haven't done it in a while) but I know on co-op one person can stay with the vehicles while the other goes and hits the switch. This was years ago and I haven't tried it since the og Halo 3 so Idk if MCC changes the rendering
on the light bridge it's a little higher than the ground, so I was able to get into a warthog turret, then the driver drove me to my death on the other side
I feel like this was always one of those reasons Halo felt so real. You might be playing through a small tunnel, but there really is a semi-spawned in world around you.
He was but it looks like he went on another hiatus he did a halo 3 campaign playthrough on mcc with the halo tricks team and I recommend it if you want a blast from the past

Hey Rocketsloth , I just wanted to point out what i think is a cool detail on Halo Infinite When Fernando Esparza or , Echo 216 is whatching the recording of his family at the begining of the game there is a green ring at the botom where the hologram is displayed and as the video plays out it changes colors from Green to Yellow and red , now where it becomes intrestin is when it becomes red only three red bars are displayed , I guess its a reference to the Famous Ring of Death from the Xbox 360 , tell me what you think about it
I’m curious if anyone had thought about adding onto the infinities interior, like hallways and access the bridge from said hallways and rooms. I get there are missions that has interiors and all but I mean like a full on interior no closed or locked doors, it would take a year possibly to do all this. I’m just curious it seems impossible but could be possible with the patience and understanding of scripts for the doors to work and AI works.
20:00 yes, you weren't supposed to use the Pelican turret in the OG Reach, but as you can see... 343 thought it would be funny and added an achievement for using the pelican turret, so I guess technically you are allowed to use the turret 🤷♂️
MCC has a lot of those achievements. Where the thing you weren't supposed to do originally became so ingrained into the community they made them achievements
From the looks of it, you might be armor locking a little too early on that second pelican in lnos? I remember breaking out of the map a bunch on the original Reach and that one in particular required some rather specific timing. Though, thinking about it, wasn't something changed when Reach came to mcc pc? I remember not being able to stand properly on top of Falcons anymore while they were moving, so it may be something similar with the Pelicans?

It was a glitch in Reach i'm pretty sure but was reclassified as a secret by 343 as they added the achieve

That Long Night of Solace Pelican turret is useful on Legendary and LASO solo.

I found a couple of weird things in the water during the the Great Journey and uprising. There was this enormous box with flashing lights and some pieces of covenant vehicles that were prolly just involved in modeling. Most of it is on my crappy old chann3l. Don't judge lol

On Quarantine Zone, when you use the acrophobia skull and get close to close to the Pelican flying over the zone, the marine on the back will shoot at you on the turret

Halo uses live cutscenes (not sure about 343 halo games) but what ever happened right before the cutscenes continues through it
28:28 I climbed all the way to the top before in the past while playing co-op campaign, and when my girlfriend activated the elevator button, Tremonius briefly spawns at the top just before the cutscenes start.
I've been in that spot on the bridge with the skull, but I so achivd getting on the bridge back in the day jumping on a Sentinel and using it to stand on the tank. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand the kill barrier then so I killer myself a few seconds later after it took forever to get on there by stepping off of the tank.

In halo 2, I was so curious about that scarab, that I managed to fly a banshee into that shield door, and I made it into the room.
In Quarantine Zone as the gondola ride ends you can hear some SMG fire that is supposed to be the humans fighting the flood. If you get over there fast enough, you can find that there is a floating SMG that's loaded in to fire and provide that sound effect. You can actually pick up this SMG and it will always fire six round bursts. Once you have it, it will not despawn on you, but even once it runs out of ammo it will try to pull the trigger; if you reload it, it will resume firing 6 round bursts.

in halo ce on the level halo when you leave the escape pod and when you cross the bridge and kill that elite in the banshee i’ve allways wanted to fly it down to the bottom it looks like their’s a beach down there and I’ve allways wonderd if its the beach from silent cartographer level
at 20:21 you're flat out wrong about the Pelican. there's an achievement linked to using the Pelicans chin gun.

8:17 when I was beating halo 3 legendary killing all marines, I learned so weird things and honestly if rocket sloth could actually playthrough it as well that would be amazing. Anyways those marines down there have really broken ai where they would almost never shoot you.
My favourite out-of-bounds areas are the ones on Halo Reach Exodus mission or you can go on to the lower parts of the city and you can see how far the cities go down and up and just kind of Explore especially the area where the elevator is all the civilians are kind of cool seeing how detailed some of the parts of the city are you another out-of-bounds especially if you haven't modded to where you don't die to the kill barrier you can really explore it's kind of cool

One thing none of the youtubers i have watched have shown is all the places you can get in banshees when your not supposed too. The main example i remember from back in the day was the bridge tank part in halo 2. Driving the tank across the bridge some banshees fly around shooting. You can snipe the elites feet and take the banshee. There are invisible anti banshee walls all around and at the end of the bridge stopping you from taking the banshee into the tunnel. Specificaly anti banshee wall too. You can walk through but not take the banshee so the dev's knew you might fly in. There are other banshees in the game that you cant pilot at all. So its some kind of "non drivable" flag that the dev's can set for some levels or parts of levels. I fondly remember the first time i beat halo 2 on legendary by using the banshee on Tartar. Gota wiggle it into the room. Also you can do that in Halo 1 in the 2 betrayals level i think.
Oh also you can totaly get out of the space station mac gun thing level and walk around the station and the ships docked. No idea how it was like 20 years ago LOL.

Hey In the ark with the tank part you can jump on top of the little drones that fly around when they spawn and it’ll take you all the way down there and you can ride the tanks allmost all the way you should try it

This was years ago and I haven't tried it since the og Halo 3 so Idk if MCC changes the rendering

I feel like this was always one of those reasons Halo felt so real. You might be playing through a small tunnel, but there really is a semi-spawned in world around you.

Hey Rocketsloth , I just wanted to point out what i think is a cool detail on Halo Infinite When Fernando Esparza or , Echo 216 is whatching the recording of his family at the begining of the game there is a green ring at the botom where the hologram is displayed and as the video plays out it changes colors from Green to Yellow and red , now where it becomes intrestin is when it becomes red only three red bars are displayed , I guess its a reference to the Famous Ring of Death from the Xbox 360 , tell me what you think about it

I’m curious if anyone had thought about adding onto the infinities interior, like hallways and access the bridge from said hallways and rooms. I get there are missions that has interiors and all but I mean like a full on interior no closed or locked doors, it would take a year possibly to do all this.
I’m just curious it seems impossible but could be possible with the patience and understanding of scripts for the doors to work and AI works.
20:00 yes, you weren't supposed to use the Pelican turret in the OG Reach, but as you can see... 343 thought it would be funny and added an achievement for using the pelican turret, so I guess technically you are allowed to use the turret 🤷♂️
MCC has a lot of those achievements. Where the thing you weren't supposed to do originally became so ingrained into the community they made them achievements

I remember breaking out of the map a bunch on the original Reach and that one in particular required some rather specific timing.
Though, thinking about it, wasn't something changed when Reach came to mcc pc? I remember not being able to stand properly on top of Falcons anymore while they were moving, so it may be something similar with the Pelicans?
