Re: Kate Yup, I would place A LOT of money on her being bulimic, and many others have come to this conclusion as well. The fact that she kept a toothbrush taped to her arm in some of the videos (common for purging), the bruising from anemia, the tooth loss... it all looks shockingly like an ED. I think she was her own abuser, and she was held hostage by a very nasty disorder. I hope that she went into recovery and didn't lose her battle.
I think this is the most believeable theory concerning Kate Yup. It makes the most sense tbh
although this is very believable, it doesn’t explain the “sos” messages or the person threatening her in the background
@@lavenderbakery4184 Except a lot of what people thought they were seeing and hearing wasn't actually happening. Morse code tapping on a bowl? Nope, just random tapping. Someone shaking the table? Nope, she moved her own legs. Whispering threats from behind the camera? Just mouth noises from chewing quickly and breathing heavily.
Any messages put in the text of videos were AFTER people started speculating on things that weren't there, and I believe she did it for views and/or to troll them.
And the kidnapping rumors never made sense in the first place. You really think any captor would not only make their victim a youtube star, but also allow the victim to edit and upload the videos themselves? Absolutely ridiculous, even before the kidnapping "evidence" falls apart under scrutiny.

The biggest mystery is how the actual heck youtube knows exactly what you want to watch.

So the Wyoming Incident thing was, in fact, a hoax. It was spoken of on the unfiction board and something awful back in about 2006-7. It was tied to the ARG called Happy Cube. The creator came out to say that. I'd suggest watching Night Mind's videos on it. It's long and ridiculous, comPLETEly convoluted, but yeah. TWI was just part of the Happy Cube ARG

@@theorist I figure it to be a case of "cool idea, wrong venue." If he was to have stuck with the Serial Killer Brigade angle, it would've been fine. If he had let it die before he started the weird woo bullshit, it would've been fine. But it just kept dragging ON AND ON.
But I gotta say, man. the original TWI videos were HELLA great trailheads. Never saw better, tbh.
FoxAkimbo is genuinely my favorite iceberg UA-camr, it’s like he’s actually having a conversation with the viewer, asking them questions, and seeming interested in their response, instead of just reading off of a script with a monotone voice. AND, his videos aren’t too scary, but still not too bland, because he’s not just taking a random iceberg and making a video, I can tell that he at least is slightly interested in what he’s doing. This dude really deserves thousands of subscribers, up there with people like DanTDM even. If you’re reading this, Fox, good job.

Polybius is one of my favorite stories online. The idea that an old arcade game is a part of some secret government conspiracy always fascinated me. I loved AVGN's video on it too. If you even know who that is.

I used to watch Danger Dolan a lot before Shima disappeared. She was one of my favorite characters. In the early stages of her disappearance, I thought she was just taking a break, or they were letting some take her spot like rotation. When I learned they had no clue where she went, my heart sank. Everyone was, of course, very concerned after hearing the news. Though I didn't watch danger Dolan long after Shima's disappearance, I still checked up on if they'd found her or anything.

dont know of somebodys already left a comment about this but with the cursed kleenex ad, the “orange baby” is an Oni (鬼), which is just the japanese version of something similar to an ogre or demon. they are often red but can be in green, blue, or even yellow and stem from very, very old Shinto myths, and are very common in japanese pop culture (a good example is something like Gargaros from yo-kai watch). also, its honestly not that surprising that it got taken off the air so quickly, as curses, demons, and spirits are a huge crux of Shinto myth.

speaking on Kenny Veach, i live in Nevada. nobody is going to ever kill you cuz you’re “too close to area 51”, that’s absurd…i think the most very likely answer is he lost his way in the desert and died by heat, it gets unbearably hot here during the spring/summer and the desert is very vast. you can loose consciousness very quickly if you’re out there far out and not properly hydrated

nah but really ….nobody is hanging out in the middle of the vast desert to do something illegal and waiting to kill anyone who walks in on it, might be hard for some to grasp this but real life isn’t like Fallout 3. the closest thing people do that’s technically illegal out there is they shoot their guns at makeshift targets and that’s bout it. conspiracy theories about his death that you mentioned are such a stretch.

Hi! I just subscribed. Apparently “grave robbing for morons” has been debunked. I saw a video about it and (of course)🙄 I can’t remember the channel! I think it was a compilation of stories. It sure looks real though!

As someone else mentioned, I also believe the Ruth Baker 911 call is real. It’s used to train operators on the importance of getting the callers address immediately.

It's real in theory. They did arrest a man for robbing graves with the same description of the guy who made the videos. He also says his name partially which matches the name of the arrested.
Vinesauce was actually talking about the idea he had for the farming game and that’s what caused a lot of people to miss remember it actually existing. I know that one guy dreamt it, just wanted to add this extra information.
The monkey hate segment was so new and absurd to me that I felt like I was listening to a Monty Python news piece

Graving Robbing for Morons was debunked by Scare Theater years ago. It was part of a dvd short horror film collection that wasn't all too popular. The thing was something you'd find in a bargain bin or some shit. There's another short film on that same collection that was far more disturbing than Graving Robbing for Morons.
There were 3 videos altogether, if I'm remembering correctly? One was a guy apparently enacting revenge upon his own family by baking them a cake with his semen in it (fake), and the other one was footage of people shooting gophers or something (real)?
@@hamupinhere Yes that's the one! The video of the guy making 'revenge cakes' was far more disturbing than the Grave Robbing for Morons and the third video. Its crazy how the Grave Robbing video is the one that got more attention than that revenge cake video.

The grave robbing one was boring and stupid, they sounded like 2 teens who found a really good halloween decoration and attempted to make a video convincing people they steal from graves. The Hugh Botnik has way more effort put into, and if I was to assume either of those were real, it sure as hell wouldn't be the grave robbers

Well polybius is sadly most likely fake given as how the oldest post mentioned it is no older than early 2000's I find the one with the song very interesting given as the idea of a song fully made and circulation on the internet still not having a owner is very fascinating I enjoyed the rest of the video but that song for some reason really caught my attention
Hate to be "that guy," but at 17:27 you mention it being a Vinesauce stream and show the logo for one of Vinny's (of Vinesauce) UA-cam channels. In reality the "evil farming game" concept was from a Joel (of Vinesauce) stream, who has separate UA-cam channels and a different mushroom logo.
Nitpicking aside, great video as per usual. Here's to another year of great content and rapid growth!

been watching the channel for a while just sorta stayed quiet but i really enjoy iceberg explanations it's always someone else read them and go into a bit of an explanation about it rather then just reading into it yourself. after work, or doing a speedrun, or playing some yugioh duel links and or pokemon showdown it's always to have something else to watch that doesn't pertain to any of those things just to listen to and learn or fall asleep to. i really learn a lotta different things about different topics. i always wondered if they had an iceberg for food Recalls or Fast Food Restaurant Lawsuits iceberg it'd be an interesting iceberg(s) that's for sure i wonder how many of those things actually happened would be cool to see that if a chart like that actually exists

The Ruth Price one has just been solved. Barely Sociable just released a video on it. It's on his Slightly Sociable channel if anyone wants to see.
Ruth Price isnt a mystery, she was attacked but fought the guy off and lived on for almost 2 more decades before dying of natural causes - amazing old woman, also they use the call to train new emergency services line operators.

Bitcoin creator was also debunked by the FBI when they raided and caught him in San Francisco. He is currently in prison without parol on charges of murder, attempted murder, grand theft and a few other being a scammer related charges. It is out there, but it is hard to find. The whole trial was kept out of the news, for some reason. He is a San Francisco native. Born and raised.

The orange baby in the Kleenex commercial is supposed to resemble an Oni, or a demon in Japanese folklore. That is why Japanese viewers began spreading rumors that this commercial was cursed, because it had a child that looked like a demon, and woman who looked like a typical onryo (Japanese spirit).
