Hope you're well! Glad to see a new post. Gonna take this opportunity to say thanks for all the incredible tips and tricks I've learned from your vids over the last few years. You are a REGULAR part of my work week. It is very much appreciated.
Tilde key is match frame for me. Load filler at position is a great shortcut, mine's on shift f! I've actually run out of mappable keys, including shift variants 😅
Been an AE for over a year now and I've probably wasted hours moving my right hand from my mouse to do certain keys that the left hand alone could totally do! I redid my keyboard and now I'll probably have more time for beer 🍺 Cheers! Thank you so much.
As always a nice quick handy video with some great tips. Definitely going to try add filler at position! I used to have zoom in and out on the arrow keys as well. You could consider moving the "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out" to F2 and F3 (and Shift+F2 for show entire sequence). It works wonders for me.
Thanks, I like this a lot, I don't think I can change my F2 & F3 (so ingrained over so many years) but I will definitely add a shortcut for show entire sequence. Funny I never used that before premiere but now I do! Cheers!
HEllo sir, definatly extremely useful ! sometimes you go really really fast, for instance I was not able to set up the F5 to F7 boutons, I don't know where to find the mix audio. But I did a screen capture of your keybord and I replicate as much as I could on my own keyboard. Thx a lot, really love your channel, since I'm back to school, study cinema and video editing with Avid specificaly (user certification on the way) . Please grabe a beer and drink for your good health ! ;-)
I actually don't use toggle/source record at all for whatever reason, It might be slower but I prefer to doubleclick the sequences in -- the toggle makes me forget which sequence I'm on at times
i made my tilda key for a add red locator. (i also use bracket key ...next to the dissolve key... as "go to Locator"). I use this a lot to visually mark my timeline for shot replacements or producers notes to come back to later...so when i clear out my locators at the end... i know i got all notes addressed and fixed. oh...try alstadt kolsch out of fredericksburg. texas. cheers. good content
This is a really good example of using that tilda key for a very job specific function. I work on such short form stuff I wouldn't need it but I will remember this for future. The most german sounding beer ever comes from Texas. Love it!

Make subclip. Can't live without it. Good to have you back 👍
I am a novice who just started to learn MC, I like watching your video, it can save me a lot of time for unnecessary experiments

Would love to see a course on script sync, AI. Completely changed how i approach dialogue sequences. Biggest change for me in 10 yrs on mc
Welcome back buddy! I've been waiting on your "next video." Excellent! I have an idea of mine I'm "brewing" on myself....Cheers!
If you want to map zoom in and zoom out, you can directly map the icon of the timeline on your keyboard instead of the menu. It's faster.
I use the ` key to bring up the effects editor panel when I'm in the edit workspace.
This is such a great comment and idea. I am doing this first thing tomorrow. Be sure to watch the 2024 video to see if I kept it...ha! Thank you!
With shift+` as motion effect editor. I'm into it and gonna try it.
Imagine wanting to learn about Avid Keyboard shortcuts and instead I learn about that and retrograde ejactulation
Use tilde key for full screen playback on secondary monitor bro 5:52

Thank you very much for the kind words! The F5-F6 mixdowns would be for menu to button reassignment -- TIMELINE -- MIXDOWN
@@avidbeer ok thx dude ! 🍻
Tilda- Batch reimport
Do you use toggle source/record at all? I have it as tab but could use ` as well. I use this constantly
me too!
