Meh. You lost me when you changed the side body lines…..the concept resembles a 1968-‘70 Charger, the way it should’ve from the beginning. What Dodge should’ve done was completed the look with the stacked ‘scoop’ indentations in the door. Again, like the ‘68-‘70. Hideaway headlights should be an option as well. Oh, and a HEMI!
Came here to say this too😂
It’s ugly
Overall I prefer his redesign over the actual design. I think it resembles the 2002 concept charger which was great at that time but was very similar to the stratus rt
(executive voice) you bet! announcing Hellcat Electric Motor Intelligence, a set of maps and sound effects that bring the raw, emotional feel of classic american muscle into the 2030s. we are pleased to share that the ram classic line will be replaced by new, affordable HEMI trims of our latest models 🤗 less than $10,000 markup over their outgoing ICE equivalents! 😘
68-70 Charger side lines are muscle car...leave them alone.🤨
Thanks for bringing back the redesigns. I missed this. This is the content I came for.
That's his other channel you're speaking of. He doesn't do redesigns on that one. Since he's been putting more content out on that channel, people think he stopped doing redesigns. That's what this sketch monkey channel is for.
@@jeffs6090 No, on this channel he stopped doing redesigns and started doing reviews, A lot of people missed the redesigns but he now does redesigns and reviews.
The Concept is way better
Concepts always are, 1999 Charger, 1999 GTO...
Right,..if they were gonna go ev, should have gone with the concept
I wonder if they are going to at least use the interior.
Honestly looks better unedited. This is a really good looking car from dodge, and as someone who is used to BMW it really makes me think about getting one, especially if the I6 option is solid enough.
I love how the new Charger is a mashup of the '68 Charger and the 1999 Charger concept
I already saw a few redesigns on insta and I gotta admit yours looks the best. 3 things that I would've loved to see - 1 Charger door panel styling that nearly all models had since the late 1960s. 2 - Hideaway headlights. 3 - The tail light you designed looks amazing, but I'd love to see a version where its a bit longer, like the 1970 Charger, AND a version where it goes around like on the 2014 Charger.
more of these redesigns plsssss
I actually really like the rear design of the real car, the rearward angle reminds me of the 99 Charger concept, I actually just prefer the full production versus your redesign. Though the round headlights if made the same size would make for a really nice Challenger.
the angle of the rear is for aerodynamics.... Similar to the shelby coupes of the 60s..
He should’ve removed the two middle headlight they serve no purpose those were used to cool down the engine f the challenger as cold air intakes on this car they make no sense because it’s a EV and Chargers never ever had 4 headlights that was always a Challenger design cue it’s was one of the main ways to distinguish both cars Chargers always had two headlights and Challenger always had 4 headlights
Not the front banana guards! Lol
I think it doesn't look enough like an original charger, it looks like they tried to modernize it like old alpine to new alpine but they stopped half way. It tries to look like the old one but the proportion are completely off and they could have put something way better than some generic designed dodge bumper.
It could and should have been an amazing reinterpretation of the original and they just messed up by not trying hard enough...
They still want some room to improve for the facelift
@@Gaphalor if that's true it's a very shitty way of designing a car
@@virage3392 no that was just a joke lol
@@Gaphalor I hope 😂
First off im not 100% against EVs but i feel synthetic & e fuels are the real future. When Dodge first teased the Fratzog I was so excited being a first gen charger owner & mopar guy in general. Liked the modern challenger & charger was ok but should of been more nostaglic. The Dayota concept was a step in the right direction design wise. But the production verison seems to follow similiar suit to other concepts turned to production. Also idk why but rear quarters on i dont like.
The side body line ( broken ) also continued on with the 71 and 72 Charger ( reversed from 68-70 ) in 73-74, it was a continuous line ( unbroken )
Heh, I'm just glad they turned it back into a two-door coupe instead of the family sedan it's been since the 2000s, but I still wish they'd do something with the '99 concept, I still like that one car...
Thank you for bringing the redesigns back... Please keep it up
I'd like to really see one of these done up in the style of a nineteen seventies, muscle car with chrome and everything
That C-pillar is enormous. Not sure what Dodge was thinking when it designed the rear half of the new generation. Your redesign is an improvement but milder than I would have done it. Too bad there`s no V8 option.
Did you put a yellow splitter guard on that? LOL! You're supposed to remove them after picking up the vehicle!
It will be optimal in the new challenger 😂
I love the changes you made great work!! Keep videos like this coming
Those 4 round headlights make zero sense for a Charger they always had two headlights and Challengers have 4 it’s one of the main ways to distinguish a Challenger from a Charger and those 2 headlights in the middle aren’t even headlights. They’re cold air intakes to cooldown the engine so why are they there it’s no engine to cool down. Like I said this is a Charger not a challenger so he should’ve removed those two headlights in the middle and left the other two. Also put the curved door body indentations that all chargers have had it looks so basic with out the body lines.
The car looks different on the road. The stills don't look very good at all.
Agreed seeing it in person at the autoshow, I wanted to leave with one.
The banshee concept or this Daytona?
Put some '68 style indents on the doors and give it those round taillights, and it would be a perfect blend of classic and modern.
Why is the video of the rear of the car driving in the road different then the still picture?
Must be deep near the assembly plants, because I'm in SEast Michigan and have never seen it up until now.
That front grille is tiny. I hope it looks better in person. The current gen front end is menhancing.
Please bring back redesigns. There isn’t much left of that content on youtube, and you were the best at it.
I hope the production version is a lot better than what they are showing
The proportions look so off. Hopefully its better in person
I bet it is. The “leaked” camera angles are just too far away to make it look good rn
the face with lights on looks scared lol, not good. most wont have technical perspective so much to the point theyll feel ok with it, we are social creatures
If the C pillar ended ABOVE the rear wheels instead of so far behind them, it would look perfect. A 2 door muscle car doesn’t need so much rear seat room or a hatchback. If it had a proper roofline and a regular trunk it would look so much more like the 60s charger that it’s desperately trying to mimic.
The roofline is my biggest issue. It looks too much like a sportsback and loses that muscle car feel.
It’s very similar to the current charger. It’s slightly different in the spy photo model and the original concept
you made it look like the old one, i kinda dig the new cyberpunk esk retro futuristic design
the concept had the best look
The preproduction seems to carry lines resembling the 1969 Daytona wing car. The trunk is a hatchback, and lines are familiar to the first gen charger. There is a lot of heritage baked into that design, that your redesign undoes
This car isn’t anywhere near as cool looking as the Daytona Superbird so who cares
That spy car looks like mid-sized rental sedan design from 2010. I really hope that isn't it.
Looks like a Stratus or Sebring...the concept looked dope, that pre production joint ain't it tho.
I wonder if the hurricane setup will be easy to do a hemi crate motor swap with?
Is it me or does this new Charger sorta resemble the first gen Dodge Avenger?
I think this is one of the cars that really looks different when you see it irl
Love what you did with the back end. Hate what you did with the headlights(it just doesn't work with this design). Banshee headlights should've been added and the chargers distinct body lines😁
It better have an engine. If it is electric, it will fail.
The car reminds me of a 2004 Dodge Stratuss Couple...And I can't shake it 😂...It's just a updated version.... let's bring back the 300M while we at it Stellanis 😊
😂😂I seriously think it looks like an updated Chrysler Sebring..
I wonder if the large rear of the greenhouse leaves room for a sedan version. It's strange they have made the Charger a coupe again after all this time.
The concept version looked a lot better
Only a lower electric trim electric was released. Banshee will look more like the Concept. The EV Chargers are the Daytonas, the ICEs don’t.
Can you do a redesign of the g37 or q50 with more skyline heritage in the graphics? I love skylines
you do know the way the back roof to trunk line is to invoke the feel and look of the first gen chargers from 66 and 67 while the split under the r wing that the air flows around is to invoke both the 69 rt grill but also the later 3rd gen chargers from 71-74 front ends basically the whole design of this new charger is to invoke the look and feel of the those first 3 generations of charger
The angle of the rear is for aerodynamic purposes. .... Similar to Shelby coupes of the 60s and other race cars from the same era.. But overall you basically drew a dodge challenger.... It has to be different enough to feel like you got something different and special and not a 25 year old car...
Without the iconic lines in the doors, it's not a charger. I wish you would have added those in while you were changing everything. I think you would have made a beautiful car.I definitely like the car lot more with your changes.
lol the new interior just looks like a more aggressive mustang s650 interior. even the steering wheels are very similar in design. but even as a mustang owner this is rightfully really cool and im excited to see how they turn out on the roads.
Love the redesign but 2 things- wish it had the indents in the door panels like the old charger...two, why on earth did you add the splitter guards on the front???🤣🤣🤣
It's weird to me creators that don't interact with comments from their videos.
Why can't they make it look like the concept...cause this version is 15 years out of date
Not a fan of the circle headlight idea. Am a fan of a more straightforward shoulderline. The rear change is just ok.
the only reason the concept looks "better" is becuase it has lower suspension and better wheels if you take the new design and just lower it with aftermarket suspension and stance it like the concept it will look almost identicl. Or just wait until the hellcat version or w/e they call it comes out wich will have the tighter suspension and wheels etc already installed...its like comparing a normal challenger to a widebody hellcat ofc the sportier trim is gonna have a better look too it.
The front is so narrow look how big the fenders stick out , and the back is so overly stretched with that big back window that is almost all black bezel
Its the most "Charger" looking out of any of the modern cars; having the requisite two doors is a good start for sure. The "Chargers" we've had from 06-23' were more just RWD beefed up Dodge Intrepids, or something along those lines. Real Chargers DON'T have four-doors, simple as that.
For me, they make the 06-23 charger a 4-door sedan due to they don't want cannibalizing the sales of it's challenger (08-23) sibling ,which occupies that niche of 2-door muscle car since 15 years.
@@MikoLanthierFrechettewon’t this charger cannibalise challenger’s sales coz it has 2 doors or there will be only charger and no challenger ?
@@shahangilani Well the challenger would probably turn into a gasoline trim level for this charger rather than a separate model.
i dont like it, to me it looks nothing like the concept version it looks smaller and like they took the outgoing charger and challenger design and mashed them together. also the rear end reminds me of the 1999 concept the way its slope and on a angle
The rear roof line/ C-pillar area sure looks more Challenger than 68-70 Charger. 🤔
I don’t like it either. Current Widebody chargers look leagues better in my opinion. 4 doors, 2 doors, idc
0:12 the red rear turn signals are unacceptable and need to be illegal. I don't understand how the US even allows red rear turn signals when amber is superior in every way.
The concept was badass. The production version looks like a wet fart.
Would love to see the '24 Charger have the Hellephant or Demon 170 engine put in🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is this the production model of the concept Daytona they premiered?
Please talk abaout the Halcyon, I think Chrysler made a very handsome design
If you know anything about 2nd gen Chargers, those lines you straightened ruin a detail that was a beautiful feature on the classic MUSCLE car.
This is 100% Charger and looks great. It is not a Challenger !!! The headlights should be mostly hidden or a rectangle works well if exposed. But definitely not round ! A Charger should not look like a Challenger ! When the new Challenger is introduced, then we can talk about how it looks/should look. This is the best looking Charger since the '68 - '70.
It's like they took a charger and shaped it into a challenger.
New project idea: Since American auto makers like to get as many versions as they can out of each of their body styles, would the Chrysler division want their own sedan version off of this Dodge Charger coupe? They might consider taking the electric Charger platform and revive the Chrysler 300 to add to their electric car portfolio. The sales of the 300 weren't nearly as good as the Charger but since Stellantis is spending a lot of money and effort for the tooling of the Charger it's not that big of a stretch to make a Chrysler 300 variant. So... how would Stellantis pull this off?
Looks good, but that rear 3/4 looks off. The way they did the body makes it look too raked the rear bumper from the back tire to the defuser If they look a pie slice from the door hand to the back of the car and dropped it down an ich or so it would help too. Maybe once I see it in something beside Battlesh!t Grey
Everyone saying that the car should have been designed different from how the engineers designed it ,is like people that can't walk teaching and telling Michael Jackson how to dance .....
I hope this new charger is about cornering and driving feel
the front looks weird. swing and a miss. the interior is nice though. I predict the ICE models would outsell the EV models.
I dunno about this redesign.. I like the distinct Charger look, but the changes turn it into a Challenger.. raising the sloped front end and extending the rear overhang particularly make it look much heavier, also the Challenger headlights are a bit too prominent..
yoo i also made a redesign with the challenger's headlights
Could careless about owning an EV, but if they put a combustion engine with some power, well, it's a good looking car,.
Bro just turned it Into a challenger
Rear end looks a little funny imo
Same doors with different mirrors, WTF are we doing
It likes a challenger and charger that had a baby. This is the worst mistake that will bring down dodge.
and the daytona will only be available on the full ev version of the charger the hybrids and the full ice with the i6 will be just charger
they kinda mixed the best chargers together, a combination of 66 68/69 and taillights of 2012. it looks nice tho, only wish it had v8 power
I don’t mind the rear design. The front looks too droopy
production front end + bembli rear quarter = honda muscle experience powered by sony
The first one to get a Red Eye swap is going to be a bad MFR. I’m not even a fan like that but this one is nice oh boy it’s going to be epic after the swap. Just wait
Can you redesign the car into a 4 door police black and white… we’re running out police car options 😢
The first charger on the road has a totally different rear end than the still pics....Hmmmm plus the car driving on the freeway would have camo...
Concept was nice. Then it went south from there... Reminds me of how that supra concept missed the mark
RIP charger. Looks like a friggin Intrepid. They should REALLY hire you.
Looks like they tried to update an Intrepid/Stratus/Sebring hybrid or something. Looks wack ASF 😂😂😂
I like the way it looks as it is except for that symbol on the grill.
They lost me at the roof. Looks like a Tesla Model Y with how high that roofline is.
Am I the only one who thinks this new charger design is slightly Fugly? Kind of like a slightly worked over Sebring Coup design.....
The redesigns are back? Hallelujah
The concept looked badass but the pre production car looks like an updated Stratus or an updated Chrysler Sebring to me 😂😂😂😂. That aint it Chief!
The concept was wayyy cooler
They are not going to go full on concept with the first version. It’s all about keeping up sales. $$$$ They will tweak it little by little each year until it finally gets close to the concept version.
New Charger doesn’t do it for me. My 2014 looked better than a lot of cars from its time with new tech and good design. I don’t think this will innovate as much, they could’ve done it better.
I will say I’m glad they made an effort to take note from the classics, just didn’t come together liked I hoped.
C pillar in profile, Audi A, S, RS 5. In any event I like it.
Um...C-pillar is right off the DODGE Challenger. 😎
stop wathcing once I saw those yellow lip protectors
So long as they keep the combustion engines I really think they killed this design! This is the first time I can honestly say a new car stole my heart
that's not a charger, THAT'S A CHALLENGER!
anyway, cool redesign.
it looks amazing!! it looks like a NASCAR car!
still not diggin that stretched out rear glass, too hacthbacky. other than that, it's ok
Dodge Charger needs a Charge.
Owners that keep the yellow lip covers look super dumb
An electric ship.
From what has been revealed on UA-cam vids so far, I feel the new 2 door Charger looks decent, but, it seriously can't hold a candle to the looks of my 2023 Charger GT , especially in my car's Sinamon Stick color.
