This is great to hear! I’m in the UK and hitting 41 tomorrow and have an appointment with my midwife the following morning to arrange my induction date. I’m nervous but just so ready for baby to be here! I didn’t think I would end up here following preterm labour scares so all your info is soothing to hear!
I'm so glad that you found the information that you were looking for! Thanks for visiting the channel. I wish you all of the luck in your upcoming birth.
I'm so glad I saw this video. It's very comforting for me, even more so since I'm getting induced this Sunday at 38 weeks due to having hypertension. Thank you!
Im a first time mom and im getting induced due to hypertension😩Im honestly freaking out and i don't feel ready at all but i do hope everything goes well coz i don't even know what to expect but this vid was very informative so thank u❤
@@thandomncube3138 Honestly my induction failed😅I literally was in labour for 13hrs after being induced then my baby still didn't come so they had to book me for emergency c-section.But some other ladies who were in the ward with me who had been induced gave birth naturally coz induction worked
@cherisecdrake Well I did get induced and was in labour for 13 hours💀But it didn't work so I was booked for c-section😅But some other ladies who were induced had no issues so I guess it depends on a person❤️
Doing my homework! My care-providers here in Seattle have already mentioned they like to induce in 39th week. Class on induction Part 1 has me saying heck no--. Looking forward to class on induction part 2!
*Borrowing my husbands YT, My first induction was long (days), my second I gave birth the same day(night) I got induced♡ I wonder how it will be with number 3 in november🥰 When they breake my water it takes 60 mins until 10cm and giving birth Baby one I had the ballon for 5 houers befire it fell out. then epidural for 2 days, I got pills, did not work, then the IV with petosin, before they broke my water on day 3 With my second the ballon did fall out after 2 houers and I got natural contractions, the same night they broke my water, then giving me an epidural at 10cm (failed).. Way to late and Then I was a mom again♡*
That pattern sounds familiar! I've seen this before too. The first is usually the longest and the second the shortest. Thank you for sharing your story!
@@birthtoolbox Can I ask a quiq question!? baby 2 I got a failed epdiural, and ended up needing a bloodlap and all that to get better. Now I'm terrefied.. Can the same happen again?? Or not. I really want to try to have a natural brith 100% eith only the batthub as Painrealife, but I'm scared haha.
I’m being induced tonight at 41 weeks & I’ve been struggling with terrible pelvic pain for about 2 weeks now yet there’s no dilation at all. My first child was born at 41.3 weeks, naturally & vaginally. Does pelvic pain = to a positive station? I need some type of hope, I’m extremely nervous :(
Pelvic pain can happen when the baby's head engages, but it also might be due to stiffness in the joints of your pelvis. While it hurts, it usually doesn't have any impact on your birth experience. Rest as much as you can today! You've got this! You are powerful and strong. Fill you mind with these types of thoughts because they are true!!
May I ask mamas if cervical checks are necessary? I know it might seem like a slight pain compared to the delivery, but I’ve heard many painful stories from some of when they had their cervix checked for dilation and I just want to avoid being checked altogether and let baby do its thing. All in all, Does my cervix have to be checked or can I deny the procedure?
Getting induced with liquid misoprostal solution on Sunday (26th June) at 37+3 weeks! Im actually very scared ... I've had two back to back babies. 2019 and 2021. Just last year ... Do you think my labor will be long this time? Will the misoprostal take a long time to work? Please please respond 🙏🏻❤️ (3rd baby)
It's hard to predict how long it will take. Usually induction goes easier for someone who has had a baby before, but it really depends upon if you body is ready. 37+3 is earlier than is usually recommended. If you have an option, can you delay it?
@@birthtoolbox Inducing because I got admitted twice recently for a lung infection (RTI), short breath and decreased fetal movements. Lung infection (post covid symptoms). I've had my last two babies at 36 weeks though, both very healthy today! They said their inducing because they don't want the situation to heighten or get worse in case my lung infection recur.
Well I had to endused I was furious ! I cried for 3 days in the hospital!!! After being in labor for 3 days ( which was forced) they realized I did NOT NEED TO BE ENDUSED! My horror story is too long to write right now . But I ended up w an emergency c section and I was on the table for hours bc he was stuck. I could feel EVERYTHING and was screaming and passing out in pain.. and that is just a tiny portion of what happened ! Do not let them bully you (especially your loved ones) let alone medical teams !!! I hope no one goes through what I did
@@noella4750oh my goodness I’m so sorry. Any chance you have time to share your experience? I am in the same boat with induction because most mommas have no reason to be induced besides that the hospital does not like waiting on spontaneous labors. IDC! I’m sure my doctors will schedule mine two weeks after July 20th being that is my baby’s due date but he could want to come a little later… we’re you induced prior to the date they scheduled???? Or was it on that exact date that you were induced? Again, I’m so sorry this was your experience. If you choose to have another down the line, I hope it’s a smooth, wanted delivery mama
@@viviancoleman8417 no they induced me before my date !!! Six months later, I’m not healed even in the slightest, I could tell you the story for days it was so bad!! They induced me because they thought my water broke and here it turns out my water did not break there was absolutely no reason to induce me. Hospitals will not under any circumstance before delivery do an ultrasound which has left people I know leaving the hospital without babies. All they had to do was a simple ultrasound and they would’ve seen that my water did not break. The baby was not in distress, nor was it the right time and he did not need to come out yet.
What should I take to hospital when it comes to induction? My cervix is still closed but I’m 40 weeks and 4 days. I’ll be induced on my 41 week and 2 days.
This video is gold for people going in for induction. I wish you had more people seeing this !!
Thank you!! Maybe I need to make a follow up video.

Wild that this video has so few views and upvotes. What valuable information! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!!! I am working to grow my channel. I appreciate your comment and any sharing of the video!! ❤️❤️
So helpful knowing what all the options are so you can choose or provide input of what your preferences are even through induction!
YES!!!
Good informative video. Honestly I did not expect a video from a doula to be so neutral about induction.
Thank you!! My mission is to bring the information without bringing my opinion.

The 39 week induction is becoming popular, but it is an elective induction! (More in part 2👍)

My dr likes to schedule inductions at 39 weeks. I agreed but I’m hoping I go into labor at like 38 weeks 6 days lol
If you are hoping to avoid it you can always ask for a couple more days. Your preference should be considered too.
This is so helpful! I don't want to but I'm going to for insurance readons
