The laughing horse picture cracks me up.

My integra has lasted 668k miles without any major rebuilds, only clutch and a couple shocks
That's what I like to hear. If a few people manage to make it close to a million on original stuff, odds are they were well built vehicles.
My old Ford Escort made it to ~240k before I sold it. Basically nothing went wrong... AC on it was godly, too. Would make your hands go numb after about 15 minutes full blast. I'm always disappointed when I get into a modern car and the AC barely chills. If you can't see your breath when you exhale, it's not doing a good enough job chilling your car.
Holy moly
What year??
Justin Galens 1998
It depends how a car is driven many integras were beat as they are a sporty car that attracted younger people , hence why many wont last much longer than 200k
Be careful Scotty.. your Celica is going to get jealous and start breaking down 😁
People think im crazy but when i get a new car i wash the old and new together. Cars get jealous and do give unexpected problems.
@@BNK2006 bruh you are 😂
Yes they do, my 01 Suzuki XL7 "Suzy" ran perfectly for years. Then I started giving more attention to another cars and out of the blue, she started breaking down on me. I swear just like a woman she got jealous and started acting up.. Lol
mnight shamalan: scotty has 2 backup celicas
OMG i thought this only happened to me. Whenever i decide to sell on of my cars. They start braking down.
I had a 1986 Acura Integra with the standard transmission that lasted until 455,000 miles.
Wow
I know a guy that has a Toyota Tacoma with 475,000 miles and still runs great, no need to rebuild the engine, no tranny problems. Great truck, great brand ...greatest.
Remember a former Toyota employee went to work for Honda, then Honda autos got better.
I bet it didn't even need any cambelt changes like those crappy KIAs
My god. What the literal eff did they make the transmission out of? Titanium?
Rafael Salinas A buddy of mine inherited an early 90’s 2wd 5-speed Toyota truck (back before they had a name lol), it has almost 600k, his grandfather bought one at the same time, has over a million. Those 22r (I think that’s right) motors are insanely reliable

95 GSR original owner - 230k miles still drives like new. 100% stock.
When i was younger, a friend's dad gave him a new Integra, it was one of the Gen 1, 2 door with hatch back models. he beat on that car and it never missed a beat. For the time, it's engineering was pretty tight and accurate. around the same time, a cousin of mine had the Legend. He can afford any car and till this day he still says the legend was the best car he's ever had.
I had a 1991 Integra and sold it for $1500 in 2010 with 230,000 miles. It still ran perfectly.
Bought 2 Honda Accords in 1986. I
drove one 140000 miles in 3 yrs with no problems and my wife drove here for 115000 miles on 5 yrs with no problems. We paid 10900 each for the cars brand new and got over half our money back when each was sold! Try that today!
Robert Bass wow, that’s a very good return on you cars. Even sounded like an investment

CRAPO2011 i have to actually
See one and i hate the 1.5 liter turbos they having to many problemas those turbo engines aint gonna last not 200k 300k
Only issue ive heard is with the CR-V oil dilution, but its mostly an issue on drivers that idle alot. But if ur not a big turbo fan get 2017 accord J35 V6 with the 6-speed manual
CRAPO2011 yup thats the problem. I dont buy used cars. So i will have to look at toyota or something
I have a 2001 type-r. It's fun to drive and it's fast for a normally aspirated 4 cyl. It uses premium fuel. I'm just worried it being stolen for parts. A friend of mine had his gutted.
Gotta keep them in a garage
With a type R you must be on edge Everytime it's outside
Spend the money on a good security system if your so tweaked cuz you don't own a garage.
You definitely have to watch were you park a type R
I install a kill switch to the ecu on all my car's. Not very difficult.

Welcome to Acura lol! I love my 03 celica gts but my 01 integra has my heart too 188k miles on it so far no issues for the past 6 years of ownership and everything works on it still! Everything! I love my Integra!!! Lol
I love how scotty uses his toyota celica as a way to let us know he's serious.
The Yabbos on the Kelly Blue Book channel would whine about having to manually lower the back seats to expand the cargo area.
I kinda enjoy Demuro's reviews but he gets annoying at times.
Kids today would ask why there's three pedals too..you need a degree from M.I.T to work on cars today.
I whine about pushing buttons and having to wait for my seat to adjust. Just give me a lever and I'll do it myself haha
Hey i have a 98 integra LS 178k original miles, runs like new everytime
Me too of course I've done maintenance but engine and trans. Are in great shape mine 2000 LS silver 171,000 miles. Runs great.
Can I say 98 Civic with 301k miles? Still running the engine with a damaged head gasket
How do you keep it safe? I’ve heard they get stolen a lot and that’s the main reason why I am hesitant to purchase one.
this integra is real dog........bought one for 1000$ after 3 years and 100.000km drive zero repair plus sold also 1000$ ............and I believe its still on roads

My grandmother has either a 93 or 94 integra. Manual transmission. Has around 200k miles and still going. She's had that car for over 20 years. Good cars
I have a 99 Integra GS-R hatchback in milano red 5-speed never getting rid of it
95 dc2 gsr with 265k
96 GSR in Phoenix Yellow
I couldn't agree more - 23 years ago I bought a '96 2 door GSR and still have a blast driving it! Garage kept it's entire life keeps the paint looking new. Maintenance and a few replacement parts is all it has needed so far. BTW, the car in this video has a '97 and later front bumper.
I have 4 integras. They have never let me down! Great cars. Love the video!
I loves my 1998 integra.... I wish I never sold it😪 273,000 miles and finally the trans went after 1 clutch I was a young dumb kid, beat it to death
Hell yeah scotty..i own a 95 integra ls with 205.000km and drives perfect. Grettings from Colombia
Just brought one this year my first car, I had to do some fixing on it but I love it.
Paid $1600 which is a little bit more expensive then some of the others, but this one hasn’t been messed with and everything is still stock and in good nick.
Ayy, I knew I liked you for a reason, I love Hondas.
One of my all time favorite cars. The only thing Scotty missed when talking about Integras is they are thief magnets! I had 3 stolen and gave up on owning another.
My 95 Integra was driven into at an intersection recently. Considered totaled but we were able to fix it with relative ease because the control arm took the whole of the impact while the massive trailing arm was good to go. I'm so happy to have my car back!!!
It's really refreshing to hear you be POSITIVE about something for a change!

Acura is my favorite-2001 CL-S, 200,000+ miles still going strong 💪

Same year here with CL-S 272000 miles still going just alternator replaced recently.
Loved this car so much I bought 2 cuz they're cheap from craiglist lol
I had a 1990 Integra 5 Speed for 4 years and it was one of the best cars I ever owned. I had mine until 145K miles and it was still going. I loved that car.
I'm almost sure this was the model that Acura/Honda lost money on to get their reputation up to par. If Acura were to re-sell the Integra GS-R again with the 1.8L 170hp engine, I would buy it in their emerald green. The suspension and engine were different than the Civics of that era, as well. My only gripe is that they came with a 5-speed manual. If I had the time and money, I would buy one of these used, strip it, repaint it, put a K20 or K24 with a supercharger, a 6-speed manual, drive it for the next 30 years.
they admitted to losing money on every Type R they sold alright, but it wouldn't surprise me that they lost or broke even in Integra's in general in some markets.
Dang I have have a friend with that exact set up lol
Just get an rsx-s. Bullet proof too.
We had
1993 Integra GSR - awesome close gear stick shift
1995 Integra red 4 door stick shift, we love it
1997 Integra Type R - no air, awesome screamer.
Small car but handles well and yes they were a up scale of Civic with Dual Cam 1.8 L
They all made in JAPAN
I can attest to the great Honda engines of that time period. Last month I bought a 1997 Honda Accord LX with 272,000 miles on it for $1200. Now it has 273,000 miles. It immediately starts like this car does, and it can be driven anywhere. Agile and light with great acceleration. No shifting issues, and it's an automatic.
Have you had to replace the engine or transmission or just regular maintenance and have you had any issues passing smog?
@@DevonDavies-p7f No smog in Louisiana. Still has the same engine. I replaced the transmission. It's still rolling.
I had a 2002 Acura RSX and it was a tank ! My son used, my step daughter used it in Miami and I finally got it back, we sold it for $2700.00 with 180,000 miles on it ! It was the best car !
Totally reliable ! Drove it from NY to Virginia to Florida countless times !
Man, makes me think back to when I still had my 95 integra.
The closed captions on this one were a trip!
Acura is the Cadillac of Honda , Honda is the Cadillac of all compact and 4 cylinder cars out there , it Pimps them all .
AnunnakiThe1 FWD trash
Why you
insulting Acura by comparing them to Cadiwrecks?
GM is trash. Brands are just brands. Cadillac as a brand does not compare.
Fun fact is that in Japan the last gen Integra was based off the RSX that we have in the U.S. In the U.S obviously we can't necessarily import a DC5 Integra until the next decade unless if you know a better way to import one. Which I have seen people import some rare cars that aren't necessarily federally legal but only use it for show or very special occasions like in Florida and California and probably more states.
That's why I love my 2003 Honda CRV! 211,000Miles!
My integra actually gets surprisingly great gas mileage. I drive in bumper to bumper interstate traffic and sit at stoplights a lot. I spend probably 40% of the time driving normally, the other 60% is slow crawling traffic. I recently got an average of 29 miles per gallon in my 4 speed automatic, 4 door ls integra. That's really amazing considering it almost never gets the chance to drive normally. It's also the heaviest and least efficient version, also mind you its a quarter of a century old.
Scottys dream car is a 1994 toyota integra type R
Toyoda Celigra type tRd
Thanks for the update... Always good to learn more about vehicles...
My 96 accord still has cold original compressor.
I had a generation 2 Integra. Still regret trading that car in. Fast, great gas mileage, reliable. Why can't they make cars like that any more?
Acura Integra is a pretty good buy come with B series and the GSR come with B18c1 engine and if want to can do K series swap
Or the Type R B18c5 engine, better yet slap a F22C engine and make it a Killer RWD Integra.
My friend had a 1998 model with the automatic. He was always romping on it doing burnouts and the trans would slip. Surprisingly, the trans never self destructed to pieces with how hard he drove it.
As a 94 Integra owner, love ya for this vid Scotty. And you don't need to sell your Celica, just own both 😎
then they can have little babies....perfect honda engine reliability and perfect toyota transmission...10 million miles on the clock
My 2002 rsx (integra dc05) has had just about every part replaced except for engine and transmission.
Lately, fortunately it has started to be more low maintenance at 186000 miles.
I had a Acura RSX type S manual transmission
And it was The most fun I had driving period
Also 0-60 in like 6-7seconds real quick car, loved the high RPM limit as well, it's a dream car of mine along with the f22C, S2000

I was a teenager when Acura came out. They were all the rave back in the 80s and 90s. Legend, Integra, Vigor

Check his channel, take away the 1994 and you would've been right!
Yeah lmao he posted a video about that
1994 Celica is bulletproof. They should bring it back just as it was, with a few minor style improvements. Fantastic car.
I had a new 97 Integra and traded it in at 180k miles--manual transmission and one clutch replacement. I still have an 05 RSX Type-S with over 250k miles--manual transmission and one clutch replacement. Yes, these cars are bulletproof.
My first car was a 91 Acura Integra I miss her! Wish I would have keep it
I have an Integra LS sedan 5 speed with 350K on the clock and she still works in perfect condition. Recently had to replace the radiator but other then that everything is great.

All jokes aside, the Celica has a beautiful design
Agreed, the celica looks beautiful.

especially the gt-four variant, sold to enter in the WRC; that's really my toyota go-to car if I could get my hands on one of those.
I had a 1995 5 spd, 250K miles when traded in after 14 years. Sold because of a little rust over windshield about to go through and the engine chip that started dying with heat causing the engine to cut out.

Regarding the fuel economy, premium fuel was required on the 1996 Acura Integra.
No it was not, it used regular octane... Your thinking of the Acura TL.
I have a '94 Acura but the manual states the VTEC engines needed premium.
I have a 2010 Honda Fit with 1.5l ivtec engine + stick shift. Done around 770k miles , no repair done till now. Changed oil regularly, I use Mobil1 full synthetic, changed transmission fluid couple of times. Drive belt changed once. That's it. Honda makes bulletproof vehicles

The 95 Integra was similar in appearance to the 94 Celica. I considered it.
Because they are both direct competition. I hate how scotty compares his lowest trim shitbox version to mid trim integra while mid trim Celica is 1 to 1 as fast and as well habdling as integra with all around disk brakes.

I bought one about a year or so ago 2000 Acura integra LS b18b1 I really like my little car and it's 5 speed manual transmission, I love the way it shifts. I can work on it myself really enjoy it. Everything is stock.
Most old Honda and Acura cars were killed by snapped timing belts.
Very true!!..people just absolutely refused to keep an eye on them or change them when required, then boom the engine ate itself.
The Integra had a Non Interference Motor if the timing belt snapped you were fine. Mine did twice during the life i had it and no issues. Sucks it got Stolen.
My 1990 Integra LS sedan absolutely smokes my friend's 2001 Celica GT, both 5 speeds, mine has 380k miles on it, his has 150k and burns a quart of oil every 500 miles. My dad had a 1994 Acura Integra. Great car. With minimal maintenance oil changes and the like he got 270k miles on it everything original when he finally traded it in. Still ran great

Robert Hoffhines hail yeah. Acura RSX was decent car too if I recall
@@dillonhamrick2744 Those beautiful free breathing Honda engines are just so satisfying. From my '84 1500DX Civic to my 2012 stock Accord. Even our '05 Pilot rev beautifully. But that 8200 rpm redline on the GSR...
