I had the honor of singing with David years ago. He is, by far, the best male vocalist to have ever lived, bar none. I challenge anyone to find someone else with the control, range, timber, shine, and resonance that David has. You will be searching for a long time.
I am French and I discovered David Phelps 10 years ago and is the most exceptional singer I have heard.
He is exceptional indeed.
I am korean and I discovered him 18 years ago and went to see his concert at least four times . After concert everyone was flocked to David Phelps corner to take a picture with him .
To my understanding , he is the best singer in the planet.

He released it on video a couple of days ago it's pretty amazing especially he can pull that off at 51 years old
He hits a D5 in I have nothing. He has been doing this for over 20 years night after night with the Gaither vocal band, and also has a solo career. May be the best tenor ever but doesn’t get the most recognition because he sings Christian music. Which I’m glad he didn’t sell out.

Oh my gosh!!! You need to listen to some of his videos. He will blow your mind!! My favorite all time singer ever! I listen to him everyday. So glad you discovered him. I've watched many reactions to David and it's always the same....people love his voice. He also writes and arranges music. A gifted man indeed. Recently, he recorded Whitney Houston's song, "I Have Nothing". Amazing!!

I’ve been following David Phelps since 1999....he’s 52 , a vocal performance degree from Baylor University....he is incredible and can sing any genre!....also a great pianist, composer !
Be sure to watch one of David’s full songs from beginning to end. Nobody tells a story like he does with his voice. He has been classically trained, but he has chosen to sing for the Lord instead. Very anointed!

So yes he just did "I Have Nothing", but you really need to react to "No More Night" and "O Holy Night", in AL, he is wearing an olive green sweater, also "These Are They" at Red Rocks. These are all Gaither videos. David Phelps is incomparable!

Just a tip. Because you pause a lot while vocal stuff is going on(which I completely understand) it would be nice if you(after pauses) continued a bar or just a tiny bit prior 'stop' then one can regain a bit of context and feeling plus be able to apply your reflections in real time.
