Not going to lie I had looked over several videos and none told how to put alerts on OBS studio even though they put it in the title. I just started using OBS studio because I heard it was just better in terms of updates and have found it is a little less user friendly but way more optimal in terms of all the things you can do on it.

So I've been with streamlabs for several years. Last month I swapped to obs. I created new alerts following your video and for whatever reason they show up when I run a test but don't show up when someone followers subs or raids me etc. Did I do something wrong?
Maybe try unlinking and relinking your Twitch account from StreamElements and maybe it'll refresh the connection? That's my first guess :)

Thank you for the tutorial and pointing me in the right direction, but here's a question I'm sure has been asked once or twice: do you hear the audio sound when the notification is set up and ready, or do you need a browser open or a seperate app/device entirely?
Usually, I stream with only OBS and the game running, maybe Discord if playing multiplayer (but it's mostly myself alone), so I'm curious yo know if I need another browser window open or a specific device to be able to hear it.

First off, thank you very much for the superchat! I really appreciate that!
Second, I also just stream with OBS and the game open but I'm able to hear the alerts go off without needing the actual browser open. If you can't hear the audio for whatever reason when the alerts trigger, then you can double click that browser source and enable custom audio device, then go into the advanced audio settings and enable audio monitoring + output as a backup!

Unfortunately not :/ You'll want to use 2 monitors, but you'll still be able to hear the alerts when they go off using 1 monitor :D

I'd double check that your alert source is above everything else and you've saved your alert box settings on streamelements. If you're still having issues then I recommend contacting streamelements support since they can check from their end

Nope! Just go to OBS Studio -> Docks -> Twitch Activity Feed and you're good :)
