Shomu is a genius. He gives these lectures from his knowledge base without an outline of notes. I'm getting so much out of these lectures. Thank you so much Shomu.
Shomu, where are you located? What is your background? PhD or MD? Would love to donate to your cause to help you keep these videos going. I am in my early semesters of medical school and you are helping me get through it with ease. Thanks for everything you do!

The growth factors like EGF, typically binds to Tirosine Kinase Receptors. The best example of a GPCR ligand, are the hormones like epinephrin and some physical or mechanical stimulus.
Sebastián Venegas Uribe cb1 and cb1 ligand also... but egf for tyrosine kinase receptopr and dimerisation takes place there.. through that way they transduce signal
The videos you make are really very helpful. Last minute preparations would have never been possible if it weren’t for you. Saviour! Thank you for each and every video. Keep up the good work!
Excellent classes.... The ligands for GPCR are generally epinephrine, other hormones, neurotransmitters etc... It includes rhodopsin n odorant receptors... But Growth factors like EGF, NGF, FGF etc are ligands for another cell surface receptors called RTK...
The signal transduction is initiated by ligand binding to GPCR. With the change of GPCR conformation, G protein is activated and dissociates into α- and β/γ- subunits.
Thank you sir for your teaching technique When I start a new topic at first I search it in your videos and after understanding from your vedio I start learning from the book. At last you are the rescue boat when we are drowsing in a sea🙂
Sir excellent class, but with due respect I think in the diagram of the GPCR Receptor the N-terminal end will be extracellular and C-terminal will be cytosolic.Thank you
Ge sir ...your videos r really helpful to us .. Thank u for ur wonderful videos ... I need to know in both the GPCR processes which r the signalling molecules involved ?
You are really god to us... How simply you clear all d things thank you keep making videos to guide us
