Back to the mug press, I got brave and made my first one and it is beautiful. Only one thing, I put the template on the mug upside down. LOL. It is beautiful. I'll bet I only do that once. I watched your video on the mug press, and bought a mug press. I started using infusible ink transfer sheets and infusible ink pens and I was hooked. Then I watched your video on converting the printer, and bought a printer and ink. I just received printer and ink and will be converting today and starting my sublimation journey. My first mug was done using my printer and sub ink! I made a mug for my husband with his commanders coin logo and his units motto on the back. Never even thought I couldn’t lol I just didn’t feel like dragging out the infusible ink sheets lol 😂 love these mugs! Photo mugs are so popular!! I now have to make a bunch of mugs for his unit so people can buy them with the logo on it. They make great retirement and going away gifts! ❤️

Beautiful! You can also use photo paper with sublimation. Just remember to put parchment paper around mug so it doesn’t bleed through to the mug press.
@@katiehewes423 I have used any photo paper. I have a Epson ET 2720, which I converted over to be sublimation. It works great. I have done, with photo paper, mugs, shirts, towels, and some other stuff. I just wash them inside out and so far so good! Hope this helps.

You could use the trimmer to cut neater than scissors. You could use the bullzip virtual printer to avoid the black line. You can use alcohol to clean the mug.
I do not have any of those jagged edge or sawed edges at all in my design space. I just bought my cricut, mug press and got my easypress today! I am trying to learn all that i can so I can make a little extra money for trips and the vet lol.

Your tutorials are so informative and easy to follow. Thank you. I converted a brand new printer and created my first sublimation mug. It turned out pretty good. I needed to work on the size since it did get distorted a bit, but overall it turned out awesome!

@@MsJmper I converted an Epson 2720 and it was cheap and easy to do. Make sure you watch Angie’s video on converting it to sublimation ink. And download the ICC profile if you get the ink because the colors will be off. Good luck!

Infusible Ink is basically sublimation ink in sheet form that you cut with your Cricut. What I am using here is a sublimation printer so I can print out images.
I saw somebody who added an extra step and used their machine to cut the paper to size and thought it was so smart. You mentioned you can export out of Cricut ds but I’ve never seen that option?

One thing i have been trying to find out but i never seen a video on it, if you put the heat resistant tape over part of your sublimation mug (not infusible ink) does that not cause the image not to sublimate fully esp if its a full wrap design?
I uploaded a photo of my granddaughter into Design Space. The coloring looked great. But when I printed it with my Epson Sure Color F170 printer, the photo looked a little too dark. I'm wondering if I have to have a certain resolution - like 300 DPI.
Super cute! I usually buy a commercial machine for any decorating, ie, embroidery machine, heat press, cutter. But for the mugs, I think this press is going to work great. Thanks for your tutorial. :)

I got my mug press and ordered some mugs from Michaels and I have the other supplies except the paper that goes around the mugs before you put them in the mug press, what is that paper called and is it necessary? Great video! I love seeing how creative you are! But three things irk me... 1. When you say “leave-er” instead of “lev-er” and 2. when you put the lint roller sticky side down after you use it. Hi Angie, I've been having problems with the black sublimation ink turning out brown, so have been playing with my Cricut mug press today. I didn't realise the press has three temperature settings and have found the lowest setting and cook for 4mins gives me the best black colour on the mugs. Cooking any longer than this and the black starts turning brown.

There is one project that has all of the edges. It looks like a plain mug with no design but has a ton of edge options.

For sublimation, you need both which was what this video is about. I have several other videos that use one or the other.

You definitely can cut the paper. You could print it as a PDF at the end if your computer will do that.

You would not want to put it between the paper and the mug.

I don't have issues with it showing up when I do that.

How do I cut a perfectly sized window in an infusible ink transfer sheet to exactly fit the sublimation printed photo?
If you are going to print the photo, why not print the background instead of using Infusible Ink?

For this, I used sublimation paper in a sublimation printer with sublimation ink.

Go to your printer settings and change it there. It will then be the same every time you print.

I use a sublimation protective paper. It should be linked in the description for the video.

Great video! I love seeing how creative you are! But three things irk me... 1. When you say “leave-er” instead of “lev-er” and 2. when you put the lint roller sticky side down after you use it. And 3. I would have made the two pictures equal width on the background of the pictures. 😬 I’m looking forward to the next video as always!

I am not sure why you would want to use both? You can just make a sublimation design if you have a sublimation printer.
Can I use Tumbler Wrap instead of the Protective Paper Roll?
You don't need the tumbler wrap in a press. Those are for sublimation ovens.
Thanks so much for this video!! I tried a photo sublimation on mug but I see yellow tint on the photograph after printing and pressing. I used Epson ET 3760, Hiipoo sub ink, A Sub paper and cricut mug press.
What kind of tape are you using? There is a yellow tape sold on Amazon that is horrible for leaving marks on sublimation.

Parchment paper is not recommended.

You need sublimation ink in a sublimation printer to print on sublimation paper for this type of project.

Hi Angie, I've been having problems with the black sublimation ink turning out brown, so have been playing with my Cricut mug press today. I didn't realise the press has three temperature settings and have found the lowest setting and cook for 4mins gives me the best black colour on the mugs. Cooking any longer than this and the black starts turning brown.
Yes you can change the temp now!
