  • I am so excited to show off my double hula hoop! I made this hoop using 3/4" polyethylene tubing, tape, and yarn. More specific instructions to come. I have to give credit where it's due, however, I didn't come up with the idea for this hoop on my own but on a blog I saw on hooping.org. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Sunshine and I'm a hooper/spinner. Although I'm not a professional dancer, I love choreographing routines using my hoops, and I even create my own! Here you'll find videos of my recorded performances and dance routines, along with vlogs and sneak peaks into my life. I hope you enjoy watching and thanks for tuning into my channel!

The best thing about katie's videos is that she is always smiling. It looks like she is really having fun, unlike a lot of the other hooping videos I have seen. Also, the furry boots...

Love the look of the hoop when you do verticle moves, I see a craft project in my near future! Also love the fact you made it blacklight reflective too, great idea :)

Oh my god! You are amazing! ... Trippy, hypnotic, feminine, beautiful, uplifting, graceful, positive... The music and editing are great. And I love that you would experiment with the double hoop thing.
My buddy sent me your Goldfish video and said "this looks like your ex". The first 15 seconds I actually wondered if it was her. Her name was Katie too.

I am wondering here outloud. For slower tempo music like the begining of this song, would a larger diameter hoop stay up with less RPM's? So katie can match her speed visually to the beat like in the other, faster songs?
Anyway love it Katie. keep at it. I wanna see you on America's got talent or something. And say to my pals.."Yep I've seen her before on UA-cam"..

did you use t- joints and more tubing at all, or just tape where you can see the two hoops connected?

Looks a little heavy for you , you should stick with what you do best , have your regular hoop with strobe light or a black light would be cool also Hot Pants .

what size did you make your inner and outer hoops? i'm trying to make something similar to this and I was thinking of doing 31" and 42" but I can't decide how wide the space between them should be

Well I cant add anything that hasn't already been said. But you are EXTREMELY seductive.
Very creative, would it be possible to make a similar one out of glow in dark ribbon, and you could wear florescent make up and clothing... that would look sooo cool.
Weird comment, but how come you choose such barren looking landscapes to shoot your vids? Are you shy/nervous about performing in public places... just curious.
    Keep up the great work.

You need to allay this hobby of yours into an enterprise: clearly you are the preeminent Hula Hooper; I recommend a series of workout videos and perhaps, your own brand of "Katie Sunshine Hooptastic" products. Millions of dollars await! Free advice from an admirer of skill and grace. Does not hurt that you are very attractive; sort of an All-American-Apple-Pie vibe. Good luck.
