I just arrived from Toronto with my wife and now we are at her home in Prawet, Bangkok. We are so jet-lagged that we keep crashing throughout the day. It's just past 17:00. While Aoy sleeps, I cracked a cold Chang and I am now enjoying your trilogy before I probably crash again. When I was a boy, I grew up in a rural area and worked on the surrounding farms picking fruit, caring for horses, drinking freshly squeezed milk from the bucket. Moving to the city at age 16 was a shock with the city youth and gangs. So yes, my heart remains in those rural days. Thank you for a great video and thank you to The Naked Guru and family for being so accommodating. What a great way to weather out the jet lag. Coincidentally, we are here on a mission to invest in farmland in the Hua Hin area, so I will be sure to subscribe to The Naked Guru channel. Rock on, Paddy Doyle. dcb

Buriram’s Khmer temple is stunning. It’s deserving of a visit and closer attention.

This style of stone castles are common in India and South Asia, and its history is something to learn more about. Please don't assume that this is a Khmer castle. because there is no definite conclusion

@@parunp3213this is definitely Khmer lol. This is all former Angkor empire. We can read the writings on the wall. The name Phanom Rung means “Hard Mountain” or volcano. There’s also a huge population of Khmer ppl who live in this area still. Also this is the miniature temple to the bigger Angkor in Cambodia.

Hi Paddy i have also been watching Ryan and his family from a far here in Los Angeles CA. what i think draws me to watching is how logical Ryan is, there is something about how he's approaching family life as well as needs vs ,wants.. i love looking at country side and yes even in los angles we have areas of farms and orchards that are beautiful and relaxing. i think it is in every human sole that there is a connection to land and simple life though that simple life may be more work than our city life styles...still and all i also have gained something by watching and listening to Ryan he helps to remind us of whats important in life... Really nice seen both of you meet each other. Feel little sorry we didn't get more of your conversations in between you and live experience in Thailand. Living here over 30 years I've never regret it to move into the country side living with locals as a farmer, even it is sometimes hard, especially earning income and survive. Its a pleasure to follow both of your channels and the reason is very simple. Respectful natural human behaviour. Keep going....

Beautiful segment. I have lived in rural Isaan the past three years and love the quiet countryside. It is a region of Thailand that is totally misunderstood or misrepresented. ( And the province cities have totally changed the past 17 years since I lived near BKK. )

I love how you take time to go deeper into life in the places you visit - to meet and get to know locals instead of just visiting sites and trying the food.
So much to comment on but I think the best part was that you bought your drone and we could see the Guru's family and home from above. And unike many others, we see how much the same.we all are.

I grew up in on a farm in Easter Kansas I can relate to all these vids of rural of Thailand. However I have yet to pet a Water buffalo. Maybe on my Bucket list?

I watch him too at times. His video at getting freaked out and having to leave his family for a couple of days to save his mental health was pretty awesome. Obviously a very decent guy.

Im from buriram but moved to vietnam. I forgot what it was like living in rural life. I clearly forgot much of my language (Kuy, Khmer, and Khmer krom) but when I came back, I met with my grandfather who is now a monk and taught me khmer
