- THE NEW Defender V8 is here and Land Rover is bringing big time power. On the outside you will find the familiar lines of the Defender with the addition of black accents, rock guards, 22in wheels and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, and special interior. Under the hood is a 5.0L supercharged V8 pumping out 550HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Land Rover V8 Carpathian Edition performance SUV worth it?

@@bernardking13 No way. I’ve driven a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. They are nice but I still prefer an Escalade or Yukon Denali over them both. This style is so different that’s why I like it.
@@brianfilipowski9165 escalade is nice but they keep adding a MAP when you buy them. Guy wanted 17k on top of built price. You can keep it. And the Yukon hell no, that interior is trash, exterior might be nicer but that's all it got on it.

Hi Joe, you know you truly made it in life when you have a Land Defendor 110 Carpatian Edition with a thundering V8 Gas engine and a 4 by 4 system. I love the videos.
You did it! You found my dream. Love the color and the look inside and out, V8 power, etc. Nothing gets better than that. Who ever can afford it and drive it is one lucky person.
We just got our V8 90, & it's our favorite car ever owned. It does EVERYTHING

Brilliant review! When they said that they were going to re-do the defender, I though they would mess it up. They nailed every single bit. Then they put the 5l s/c in there. An absolute masterpiece! We’ll done. All I have to do now is win the lottery.
If you're concerned about the cost, that's another sign you're looking at the wrong vehicle.

Land rover did it right and gave us a powerful V8 to match to this beast. They made the right choice to do so thats for sure
That Defender is a beast!! I know they’re 2 different types of vehicles but… I think this looks better than the new Range Rover design. Beautiful truck.
Thought about Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, but this One ☝🏻 kicks butt. No worries about all the rubber mats, nets behind the front seats because that’s so you can hose it down inside when muddy. I heard it has water drains on the floor inside…😘👌
Love to see all the car brands dropping their supercharged and turbo’d V8s into models that normally wouldn’t get them.

I’ve always been a fan of the Rover SUVs. The off-road capabilities and features the company has developed are some of the best in the industry. Everything about this car is what a Rover fan would hope to get in their SUV; aside from the horrible MPG. I guarantee if told anyone that I owned an SUV that had a 14/19 MPG here in California, where the Gas is over $6/Gal, they’d choke on whatever they were eating. This car is a beast of a machine and anyone would be lucky to have it. Keep up the superb car reviews Raiti.
Many impressive SUVs hitting the market. This one might be my overall favorite. A third row would have been awesome for those of us with families of 6+. Great review

U can get extra seats in a 110 model.
2 seats, 7 in total
But Row 3 Room not massive
No problem for kids, but tight for tall people / adults.
OR
The new 130 model has more length at the rear
More boot space and proper room in Row 3
Adults can fit
And Row 3 in the 130, seats 3 people, 8 seats in total

Nice to see them actually put some off-road tires on it. This is something you can actually off-road, if you aren't afraid to get some scratches.

JLR are now starting to use the BMW 4.4 V8 in their vehicles.
This BMW V8 is in new RR & RR Sport.
Future Defender SVR models will have the BMW V8.
BTW, in previous generation Defender, that ceased production in January 2016, the 2 door 90 model, had a wheelbase of 90 inches.
4 door 110 model, had a wheelbase of 110 inches, and 130 model was …
In this all new model, wheelbase length is different.
They just use the 90 & 110 & 130 designation, as it’s what people are used to.

Good Job -- I loved the original defenced and am liking the new one too. My only comment, since my autobiography was stolen in less than 30 seconds - is make sure you have a 3rd party tracker and immobiliser fitted. The police told me that my car is the No 1 steal to order car in the UK. AND it will take months and months to repair it -- no parts.

I love this car if could have the money to buy one I will walk straight to the dealership with my eyes closed straight to the Defender 110.
Hyundai with calligraphy and Land Rover with carpathian. These are some very strange names. What does that even mean. That sounds like a sea animal. In person this seems massive in which it is. Very beefy and rugged. This is my type of car. Something with a V8. I love it! Definitely worth it over the 392 wrangler that has a charger hellcat engine under it. Though I will admit every molar car has a hellcat engine under it and I actually want one of them.

The Carpathians are a mountain range in Western Ukraine and a few other smaller Eastern European countries.

They build them at a plant in Slovakia at the foot of the carpathian mountain range. It’s just an ode to the region where it’s manufactured.
Confession: Defenders generally look ugly to me, but to my surprise, not this one. I actually love how this one looks. It's so masculine and beautiful at the same time🔥
