- The Autobiography P530 is a 2-row full size SUV from Range Rover. On the outside you will be greeted by a classy color called Carpathian Grey, 22in wheel, and fixed running boards. On the inside there is a full leather interior, massaging seats and plenty of passenger volume. Under the hood is a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Lease only! They have lots of maintenance issues. That being said, Range Rover is my favorite SUV. It’s so classy! Understated luxury! Not ostentatious, like other luxury brands.

Nice review Joe, you know they say never buy a Range Rover, lease for 3 years and get rid of it.
You know that you have made it when you're being chauffeured on the ultimate Disciple of the luxury SUV's.
I rented one of these during a business trip and the driving experience was fantastic.
You drove it just long enough before it leaves you stranded...

My thought on the armrests is so you can always have the utmost in luxury, like when the center console is open, you'll still have an armrest.
Not only that but there are obviously different sized people some taller than others has alot to do with that as well

i love the captains seat armrests in the front extra comfort
if you maintain any vehicle it will serve you well. most Landrover owners never even open up the hood let alone do any maintenance. i had a 2008 Rangerover and had it all the way until 2021 with no issues. they make driving fun and getting from point A to be B in total comfort.
My 2019 RR Sport has been riddled with issues while in warranty. Out of warranty now and already hit with $7500 in repairs at year 5. Glad you had good luck. They don't make them like they used to.
@@bohatybr i almost got RR sport recently around 2021 but thought i got lucky with the 2008 RR so why test my luck again so i just got a 2021 X5 which isn't fancy or anything but so far it's been good to me but it's only been 3 years. sorry to hear you had those issues. i always thought it was cause Landrover had many different owners over the decades and thought maybe that's what it is but i had a 1998 RR and i only had it until 2000 cause a few problems into its life i sold it before it emptied my bank account. do you still the RR Sport? has it gotten better though? that second gen RR Sport i thought was the best looking of the 3 gens of RR Sport.
The 2nd gen is definitely the best looking of the SVs and with the supercharger sounds the best also. I purchased new and still use it as a daily driver. It’s always had issues both in and out of warranty. Still one of the best vehicles on the road that is fun to drive and commands attention but at a price. To be fair I drive the snot out of it (busted engine mounts will attest to that). But still, I will almost certainly be picking up a 2025 Escalade (internal combustion) as it has wayyyyyy more features even over the new RRs, but will probably keep the SVR too because i’m invested at this point. Don’t like their new electric vehicles and hope to never have to purchase electric.
@@bohatybr i can't their new stuff too. the 3rd gen RR Sport is horrible, not as bad as the first gen but still a far cry from the second gen. to me the supercharged engines they put in Landrover models were the best or one of the best. i'll take that over a twin turbo anyday. glad you kept it cause at the very least they'll be worth something after the world goes electric. can't wait to see how the Escalade is. they look really amazing and has luxary on top of luxary. if you ever do decide to sell that RR Sport then i'd be first on lone for it. o saw the direction BMW is going in with their SUVs and needless to say i won't be getting the next x5 and my wife hates my idea but i'll be getting something from decades ago and just enjoy the simple things about it.

Nice review Joe, but err um the wheels are 23” inches. Wish you were able to review an SV trim level. The engine is a BMW sourced V8.

I was told at the dealer it was due to the Panoramic Sunroof and it interfered with both the cellular and satnav connections, so two antennas were the solution.
@@coreylawson332one is for the satellite. The other is for the digital rear view camera.

I have a Range Rover Sport, as far as the front arm rests…They work great for long road trips. You don’t have to lean over as far to put your arm on it and set them up at higher angle to lean to your left rather than right ….
Those taillights are making me have visions of old Cadillac station wagons 😮 .

I don't get the mega wheel tiny sidewall trend. Bad for ride, bad for mileage, bad for longevity of the tires and just looks comical. I look forward to that trend coming to an end.
JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) makes some of the most beautiful vehicles on the road.
Range Rover nailed it, best full size SUV. I have started to save some cash and will definitely buy one. Great review, but I will only ask you retract your junk on the stationary step board.

Tough one, on paper. The Range Rover has the design and presentation all over the Maybach, which can be gaudy depending on how you spec it. Interior wise again, the Rover wins with subdued elegance and minimalism. Tech and drive wise, the Maybach puts up a m much tougher fight. The Maybach has a fancier suspension thats like riding on a magic carpet. Joe, it's "my-bach", not "may-back.
No physical buttons up front, the backseat armrest thing overkill, no automatic running boards, no exposed exhaust pipes, autobiography??, 200k sheesh

Just bought a 2024 Navigator and for $70K less than this I feel like the Navi is way nicer on the inside.
