- Join us as we travel across the Atlantic in Executive Class, which is TAP's business class product, on TAP Portugal! We are flying on the A330 Neo, a beautiful plane, and really enjoyed ourselves. We had some amazing TAP Portugal food (the catering really blew us away) and enjoyed the amazing lie-flat seats. We were ready to enjoy the TAP Premium Lounge, however, that turned out not to be the case... Check out our experience!

ORD Terminal 5 is under construction as part of the full renovation of Chicago O'hare airport. While I understand disappointment, dont hold the airlines responsible for any inconveniences when the local airport is to blame.
You are absolutely right! However, we wanted to give a review of the overall experience as well as the airline, and unfortunately part of that experience if you are flying from O'hare is terminal 5. Hopefully this gets fixed in the future with the renovation!! We can't wait for a beautiful new T5!
Only place to eat: Starbucks :-) Nonsense, there are many great places to eat in the Lisbon airport. But Americans love Starbucks or the McDonalds Cafe 🙂

GREAT video! I’m so happy to hear that the service was great because I’ve heard several snarky comments about the FAs not being very friendly. Were you able to get drinks or snacks from them between service? Also, do you have any sense of when the Lisbon lounge will open? Someday it sound be nice if Ohare could catch up with lounges. Just not a great airport!
Good news is that the lounge is open now! As far as other snacks, they did have little snacks available in the galley, but we never had those. We were able to get drinks throughout the flight as well and our FAs were very attentive. We heard the bad reviews before too about the FAs, so we were pleasantly surprised. Hopefully our flight was not the exception...
No way you got round trip business for that price without some special insider or redemption deal.
We did get a great deal, but if you check multicity flights to or from MXP and FCO, or flights from MXP to ORD roundtrip on TAP Portugal you can still find quite a few between $1600-1800 per person. No special insider deal required.
I got roundtrip from Rome to Chicago last year for a little over 1,500 after taxes. TAP can be pretty cheap if you fly from the right airports. Was worth it for me to fly out of Rome even though I was in Venice. Just took the train down to Rome and saved loads of money.
I flew ORD-BRU September '22 for $1,600 RT, that included all taxes and fees.
What seats did you have odd or even?
We were in two different layouts. On the way from Lisbon to Chicago on the A330neo we had two middle seats (9E, 9F). On the way back to Lisbon from Chicago I was in seat 5A (the window seat).
Most of the times one rather walk than taking their flights. It is one of lousiest airlines in the World
TAP is awful. Be sure you will be disappointed at some point of your journey. Delay; bad customer experience or even no VIP lounge experience. I always prefer Iberia, their lounge is AWESOME.
Thank you for the insights. We are flying Iberia business class later this year so we will get to experience that lounge as well!
