that’s also my favorite spot in the Pike…lol. Have hot tented there many times in the winter!!
Nice. I like camping in Colorado
Me too :)
Thank you for featuring our GearLight Waterproof LED Spotlight Flashlight Watchman on your channel! More power to you!
Thank you, guys!
Thanks for the awesome video. That looks like the shorter version of the stove. I am looking at their 18nr. Have you had any issues with the thin walled titanium stove body buckling or denting? I hear it was a big issuebon some of the older models.
Awesome overnight man! Looks like you sleep with your sleeping bags open like a quilt. I'm going to try that next time. That might be the ticket to a more comfortable night sleep. I just can't sleep all zipped up mummy style.
Yea man... I have realized that I am not a fan of mummy’s. I like my quilt inside a larger synthetic bag that I can still pull up around me.
I also like to sleep on my side with a knee sticking out which a mummy bad does not allow :)
Nice video. FYI... stuff stove with as much wood as it can hold and throw in fire starter. No messing around with it needed. It will get cherry hot within 5 - 10 min
Great video as always.
Thank you
Your camp spot is fantastic... You are right... a lot of gear and a lot of work but if one wants to winter camp... It sure looks like the way to go.. 🔥🔥👍👍
Once we get these vaccines figured out, I will be heading your way. Maybe do a little hot tent outing :)
@@RestlessWonderer If they ever do get it figured out... It would be nice to see you over this way but winter camping is quite limited once they get all the forest service roads closed for the winter... Many are closed already.
@@HikeCamp Maybe some good weather camping then :)
@@RestlessWonderer Indeed!
That's chilling 😌 comfy camping indeed good to see you out chillaxing enjoying yourself take care brother!!✌💚
Thanks, dude... not a bad time at all :)
Great video even though I don't need all that stuff down here in Florida. LoL. Just getting started and videos like yours make me want to get out there and just see the beauty.
Congrats, buddy! You won the drawing for the free Gearlight spotlight... just posted the "winner" video :)
Shoot me where you want it sent to restlesswonderer78@gmail.com when you get a chance.
I use a Luxe also, with a steel stove, (Winnerwell) and hike it all in on a pulk/sled in the winter months, when it gets too cold for my hammock. Thanks for your insights; I'm 66, and still learning.
Very cool! I have a homemade pulk sled that I will be bringing out soon :)
Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Nice spotlight !! I'm going to check out that stove.
That liteoutdoors stove is really cool... definitely check them out :)
Get a fast-fold w/ glass door at least. you don't need to suffer through that stove.
Beautiful camp, nice set up. I have never done a hot tent setup but I feel like Montana would be a perfect place for it. Great video.
Montana would be a great place :)
Thanks for the comment.
Love this, I’ve never done hot tent camping. Camped a lot as a kid and when I was 19 I challenged myself to camp/live in a tent for a couple months. It was just on some property that was approximately 5 miles from a town that I could go to to get more food and such.. ate mostly canned food and lost almost 35 pounds. 😅 Definitely not a pro but I enjoyed it. I did it to help with anxiety and to help me build back trust in myself and recognize the strength I have, was quite therapeutic. Didn’t really help with my social anxiety though.. just made me wish I could run away and live in the woods more. 😅 Once it warms up I’ll definitely be getting back out there 💛
That sounds like a really cool experience!
Appreciate you sharing, and agree that it can be therapeutic to get out there :)
awesome set up man I am looking at the luxe line of hot tents. saving my money up for an awesome hot tent and stove for next season. keep up the great videos.
That is exactly what I did... probably shopped them for 2 years before I was able to grab one.
hey pal ... a little jealous watching this one at work lol... hows that inner tent holding up ... i just ordered one and hoping you've had good luck so far :) love your channel come on holidays !!!
It seems to be holding up well after 2 seasons of use, and the inner tent is 100%.
There is one corner of the outer tarp where I have ripped a few stiches but nothing that has affected the use.
@@RestlessWonderer wonderful to hear and thanks for the follow up. It’s in the mail :)
Nice set up. Area looks wonderful
Thanks... it is a really cool spot.
Great videos!
Thanks!
Love the tent, that’s a nice one👍 great outing 👌
Thanks, dude!
The stove looks good is that a home made one? I tend to close the door straight away after lighting to reduce the initial smoke it usually takes and keeps going.
The stove is from Liteoutdoors.com.
You have a good point, and I realized when editing the video that I should have shut that door quicker.
Really appreciate the comment.
Great chanel. Just started following.
Nice! Thanks for following, and hope to see you comment more :)
I live in Colorado Springs and hot tent also. Did you have to go to Park county to get to the stage 1 fire restrictions to be able to use your stove?
Pretty sure I was still in Douglas county for this one... pretty close to Deckers. They had signs up saying stage 1, no open burning, so an internal tent stove with spark arrestor is good to go.
Thanks!
Thanks for the video, that stove looks fantastic.
Thanks for the comment :)
The stove is super fun to camp with.
How much does your tent and stove weigh all packed up?
I’m in the market for a light weight hot tent stove. Gotta be honest, that stove seems fragile, finicky, and a pain in the ass ! Not impressed, especially the spark arrestor issue ? Cheers
This is the lightest shepherd stove you will find at under 2 lbs... the functionality is not bad once you learn how to run the damper. The spark arrestor is annoying as hell, and I was going to email the owner about any solutions.
This 12" version will burn and keep coals for about 3 hours at night before re-stoking.
@@RestlessWonderer Right on, I appreciate your feedback but for another couple of pounds I think I will choose something else. Happy Holidays !
What are you looking at?
The one from Luxe with the glass front? Seek Outside?
@@RestlessWonderer My buddy has a seek outside stove , it’s great but he wants a glass door so he actually made a door himself. Right now I’m definitely leaning towards the 3W stove from Luxe.
wow your drone shots very good colours!
It really did... $200 Eachine EX4 :)
Great Over-Niter, Brother ! Loved Your Set Up ! Lil Stove Performed Well ! Love That Spot Light, Seems Decent Enough For It's Purpose, Thanks For a Chance & Good Luck All ! ATB T God Bless
Appreciate the comment. Stay safe out there :)
Instablaster.
Thanks for the hot tent hospitality.
Have you done a video about your hot tent set up?
Found it
@@timdecker6119 Glad you found it... feel free to shoot me any questions you have.
@@RestlessWonderer hey thanks. Really enjoy the channel. I'm curious if that inner would sleep two adults or if it's a little tight
@@timdecker6119 Two adults who are real comfortable together could fit. There is room for 2 airmats, but it would be tight.
how much does the stove weigh
right around 2 pounds total.
70° in that tent ! I would be shooting the video in my boxer shorts only.
LOL... while it reads that warm in the middle, you still feel that cold on your back.
There's a joke in there somewhere...
Stay warm
Pete! That is the goal my man :)
Did you get everything ok?
@@RestlessWonderer Yes I did, thanks.
Looks fun. I have the same stove but an 18", it's tricky but I'm learning.
They are a little tricky... last year I was nervous every time I ran the stove because it seems so delicate, but am much more comfortable running it this year. 18" would be nice for longer wood.
This year I am realizing I need to saw a few logs and split them for the best burn times versus just using little stuff.
