I ordered a tent from you guys in January 2022 and you stole my $700USD and never sent a tent! To this day I have not received a tent or a refund. Luxe responded with auto-emails for MONTHS saying my order is on its way. I’m an idiot for not filing a dispute with my credit card and getting ripped off $1000 CAD. Hopefully someone sees this and doesn’t make my mistake
great review, I have one of these myself now, at first I couldnt get all sides tight eihter but I realised it was because I was pulling the sides too tight before putting the center pole in. I now keep it as square as possible but dont pull my corner pegs out too tight until I have fitted the inner pole, then tension the 4 corners and I get a tight pitch on all 4 sides.
Your video was a big relief. I didn't know anything about this tent. I saw it on their website for half off and only one left, so I took a deep breathe and ordered one. After watching your video, I breathed a sigh of relief. I had wanted a hot tent for a long time, but hadn't pulled the trigger. Looks like I got lucky.
@@siddunn4033 I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't done any backpacking. I got their stove and I have their pole on order. It takes a long time to get stuff from them. It's been over a month and I still haven't gotten the pole. I checked with them and they said that I could cancel my order at any time, but I let it ride. I think that they are putting things on sale and selling them before they have the equipment. So, it may take a couple of months to get your order.
Well hell I got my tent in like a week and I just ordered the pole a little over a week ago if it’s gonna take that long then I’ll just get a refund and find a better tent pole lmao but I appreciate the reply man
@@siddunn4033 good idea. I went on REI to find a replacement pole, but they didn't have anything. I may look at some other places. If you find something, let me know, if you think of it. I just backed into my garage door. They said that they would have a replacement door July 22nd.
Thank you for the very honest and informative review. I just ordered one for a hunting trip to Colorado next month. Should go well with the Winnerwell titanium stove.
@@RestlessWonderer The minipeak xl did not perform well for me at all in the snow. Got 12 to 14 inches in 24 hours a couple weeks back. The sagging of the tent was intense being tepee style even with beating the sides off of snow. What really got me is the moisture and condensation inside even being vented and running a propane heater. This tent isn't a 4 season tent in my opinion. The wood stove may have performed better but was under a stage 2 fire ban. My other complaint is that the tent is small, two people would be max without a stove. I will use this tent in moderate conditions from here on out, hope you did well on your elk hunt!
@@swollz1 If you were hunting rifle 2 down in Southern Colorado, then I think I know the storm you are referring to. I was with a buddy in unit 83(almost NM), and we got over 2 feet of snow... took us 3 days to dig out to a road. I have never used the tent in those conditions, and I appreciate the feedback/heads-up. Winter is here, and fire bans are finally down to a level where I can use the stove again. I have never had the condensation problems with this tent, however I have only used it when running a stove. Thanks again for the comment and stay safe out there.
Now if we had one of these I won’t mind camping all winter long in the snow! It looks pretty big inside. I like tents that I don’t have to lay on my bag to pull my pants up lol. Great review. I’ve never seen a tent like this
I always thought the only way I would do a winter camp would be with a hot tent... Just between the cost for tent and stove I just don't see one in my future.... Excellent review my friend..
It is the only way I am going back out in the cold from here on out... this tent with the lite outdoors stove is the cheapest option options I could find to get into a hot tent. I tried making my own stove a few times, but they never really worked.
Thanks! I grew up in Manhattan (West Side), and like watching your videos to get that "feel" again. I spent a lot of time in Central Park during my teen years, and you hit a lot of familiar spots... Although I haven't seen any roller skating at the volleyball courts by Sheep Meadow yet... not sure if they still do that :)
I have the minipeak that I seam sealed. Testing it with an overnight storm and no one inside I still have drips on the internal nest connection points. I’m going to try the aerosol waterproofing next.
This tent weighs more with the inner lining that the Trekker Tent 1, and takes a lot more room in the pack. I use this tent for winter camping only, and then switch to smaller/lighter options when the weather warms up.
Love this setup brother always a WHOLE DIFFERENT experience in a HOTT tent, nothing quite as enjoyable!! Hello, i have the same Problem with one corner of the tent..more or less...i think it is a problem of the rectangular shape of the tent. Especially on uneven ground i think. But it is a nice and simple tent...much more room if you use a tripod or a ridgeline. Greetings..Hans
Hey guys Luxe does not use ripstop material. My megahorn sidewall ripped on day four. Company did absolutely nothing, said I set it up wrong. Yes, they are cheaper but you will pay the price, in the shortrun. Look elsewhere for better material and better company.
Great review! Their prices are amazing and way cheaper then other brands. Do you know if they are going out of business? They don’t offer as many products as they used too.
The total height is 5' 2" at the peak, so it would be close. I could see it if you are not using the inner winter liner, because that opens up a lot of room. My next trip will be with the pulk sled and I plan to bring a little chair to sit in next to the stove... we will see :)
@@RestlessWonderer I spent a lot of time seam sealing with silicone. I then tried two and a half cans of spray waterproofing. Still getting drips inside on my ground tarp. Mine is the minipeak. I think it may be coming in the vent even closed. It’s better but still not good enough.
Do you think this tent would realistically be big enough for two guys and a stove? Thinking about using it for Backcountry hunting, but would need enough space for two guys.
If you are not using a liner, then you could get away with it, but it would be very tight. I am going to be getting a slightly larger one next time, and I really wish mine had snow flaps... breeze can whip under sometimes. Sorry for the delayed response, and good luck with it!

Nice camera angle inside the tent! How are you able to get everything in shot? Do you use a special wide angle lens or something?
Just the wide angle on my I-phone. Not the selfie cam… the back one
