KP badly became the victim of English Cricket and Management. He is One of the best to ever play for England. He has all the batting skills and he was the complete batsman of modern era and he faced the toughest bowler in his career that no Present English Batsman has faced.

Can see the visible surprise on the face of Warne and McGrath. At this point in their careers, nobody has ever really properly taken them on and dispatched them into the stands or torn them apart systematically like Pieterson has done for a significant amount of time in the middle in a test they’re team is dominating. Any and all plans aren’t working and the genius of this man has dawned on them. It being his debut series for England also means he’s new and fresh.

@@nrikoothara The role of number 3 batsman is to prevent further loss of wickets till ball gets older so middle order is saved and when they come conditions are ideal . India for most part was a list of openers before they fixed Sehwag in 2002 and later Gambhir in 2007 . So Dravid has perfectly played is role as number 3 . Who holds rhe record for playing the most deliveries in Tests ? it’s Dravid , despite playing significantly less tests than Sachin . Infact Sachin who is undoubtedly a GOAT , wants the opening a slot in ODI to get advantage of power play and more number of overs yet in Test wants number 4 slot . So Dravid has always been a team man .

Without a doubt, the greatest ever to play for England in modern Era. I haven't seen Hutton, Hobbs, Sutcliffe bat. So, can't comment on them. But, KP is greatest England bat in last 50 years.

KP was probably the surprise Warne and McGrath weren't ready for. They still got his wicket, but he remained defiant throughout the series. England Cricket board ruined his career.

England had been playing an outdated and ineffective brand of cricket and hence had been unable to perform consistently against the good teams. The English did themselves in by ending his career.
