Man that would suck if the bullet proof glass was installed the wrong way.
XD don't worry by the time people realise the mistake, they're already dead.
+Nekogami-Crystal lol
be a pretty funny April fools joke
+peterking167 hilarious, killing someone for April fools, damn you're a genius
+peterking167 i hope youre joking
You can buy the hydrophobic spray at any home depot, in the Krylon aisle.
Side note, the plastic in the end, Starlight, has actually been created multiple times. Troy Hurtubise made his own version, a paste that he put on his head and had someone hold a blowtorch to it just to prove, in his own batshit insane way, that it worked.
The information I was looking for, thank you
" in his own batshit insane way" Lovely.
The stuff you can get at the hardware store is pretty damn good too.
Ok, I feel better now thanks.
Aero gel
a great prank would be spray a sponge with the hydrophobic spray
Or your hair and then go swimming
+Layla Person I hope you know your hair doesn't absorb water so even if you sprayed each hair all around up and down it would act almost the same....
+Rory Philpott spray it on your body won't get wetXD get out the pool and dry off I'm fine mom
your skin is your own spray to keep your muscles, blood and tissue dry. skin keeps out majority of water.
Jay Sagra's only subscriber Your skin needs to breathe
Nokia's are made of starlight
are you american ultra
+nerf n' DH nobody knows, not even this guy
maybe he finally managed to blend a nokia and mix the dust with water and... bam a heatproof material was the result
no....starlight is made for nokia's
Literally all of these things only work because of physics.
The point is that these things SEEM to violate physics.
am I the only one who thinks, that this is turning into a
wait for it...
just a few more seconds, so į can make up something cool :D
ok ok
a paradox!
Angelica Phoenix No. It isn't a paradox. Learn what a paradox is.
yup
but it's beginning to look like one
oh wow look, we got a smart guy here
lets just hope no one puts in the one way bullet proof glass the wrong way around
+Hunter Rodrigez "would you like a refund, mr president?"
+Shrek Lol
+Shrek *silence*
Dudley Hudgenson I would just send his car through a very poor, mostly afro American neighborhood with a gang problem just so we can see how good his "relationship with the blacks" really is
***** just push him off the top of Trump Tower
Number 11, Your shiny head. Water runs off your shiny head every time and is almost impossible to get water to stay there. The only way is by perfect calculation and just the right air humidity. Scientists have recently found out that this happens because there is a lack of hair folicles obstructing the flow of water so it creates surface runoff hence causing the phenomenon.
Salmon Fish dude wtf
the only way the cipher glass would suprise me is if it can discern liquids of nearly the same color from each other, i.e vodka and water
Otherwise, it's just simple color coding
I actually read a thing and i'm pretty sure it can only do 4 liquids- milk, orange juice, coke, and one more that I cant remember. But if i'm wrong, I know it can only do colored liquids (no water, vodka, etc.)
It would only impress me if it could also tell if someone has spiked your drink
Annoy physics? It is physics.
shut. up
*annoy physicist
These are made to annoy scietists
I think this is the single most self aware clickbait channel on UA-cam xD
+Neil Carpenter because you can't disprove something If you can't prove it
How can it 'annoy physics' if it must obey the laws of physics to function?
He's obviously not smart enough to understand that yes, these objects are still using advanced physical properties/physics. Physics to him is probably basic gravity and that's it.
Physics would be, if sentient, happy we're using advanced science to do more. Not mad we're.. using physics?
Scrolled way too far to find this
i think what he means is that it APPEARS to defy physics while still remaining within it. keyword APPEARS
It appears to follow the laws of physics to me.
+Uncle Ben xD
SERIOUSLY STARLIGHT GUY? SERIOUSLY?
why what
joshua flippin He was so paranoid about someone stealing his design that he took the secret to the grave! Who cares if eventually others steal/copy your design? You've made a fantastic discovery that could improve the world!
also imagine reentry on space crafts. like he could have place space travel up like 10 years.
Imagine if the inventor of the iPhone or Microsoft was as paranoid. Or even Einstein with his theories of light. I can't believe that dude didn't write down his secret somewhere or told SOMEBODY! That would've been a brilliant discovery to uncover. Unless he was threaten or something, then maybe it would be reasonable, but then he should've wrote it down then..? It's a shame that the dead can't talk...
+Izzle Chick Why again would people copy him his "designs"(inventions) are kinda hella old and maybe he wanted to see if people could figure it put with him saying anything. but sadly he died cause of Abdominal aortic aneurysm.
It is now 2022.
I had completely forgotten how young Simon looked back then.
I've seen this video before and clicked on it because of how young Simon looked.... I would love to see a "Time Lapse" of Simon through the years...
I have a mighty mug and its design is simple yet genius. It has a suction cup on the bottom of it which suctions onto any flat surface it is set on, preventing it from being knocked over. What allows you to pick it up is its release function which unsuctions the suction cup. The release works because you tend to pick up the cup from the top portion of the mug. This pulls the top part of the mug up from the bottom portion, releasing the grip of the cup through an opening in the bottom, allowing air to break the suction.
ah. that's cool. :)
That is already a thing
That was my first thought on how it worked. I knew it couldn't use a magnet because it wouldn't stick to wood or or non-magnetic surfaces and suction allows for it to be on pretty much any flat enough surface
+Likeaboss Gamer go to unbox therapy he has a video on it
what if you hit it with a sledgehammer, then would it knock over? also, can you put it on the roof?
hydrophobic repels WATER (and other polar liquids), not ALL LIQUID. In particular, oily liquids are still fair game.
you are right... the name gives it away... but I wasn't thinking about it :/ Thank you for your comment :)
And isn't that more on biology not really physics though.
Chemistry not Bio
+Deadly Dan biochemistry
Biology is about life, chemistry is about molecular composition.
Whenever I see people testing the mug that doesn't fall over they never really go for it. They just tap it a bit. Suspicious...
in a clip showed in this video it was hit by a baseball, it also showed it on the side of a wall.
Gotta bring the hammer down!
The first one sounded like a nice gift for my brother, until he said it costs $200 :')
Weebles wobble but they dont fall down!
Nice hands, can I borrow one?
LADDERS
what?
oh god weebles bring me back :O
I hated those things...
don't want to sound mean and stuff..
but physics can't be annoyed
you probably ment physicists
so just saying...
not that it's a big deal or anything..
makes me wonder
why...
+Inotamira Orani
true story
Because all of these things piss off Physics-Chan.
+Hughmann
true
it's a true story
:D
Personification.
Or its just a metaphor! *gasp*
when the captions don't match what you're saying it's really hard to follow what topic you're on. It's frustrating to be reading extra words when they're not actually being said. CC should be a word for word transcript, not a place for extra information.
+Ashley xoxx Guessing you don't care about deaf people, fuck knuckle.
+Ashley xoxx uncalled for
+Ashley xoxx what if you where deaf would it still be a so what?
If you watch a video where the person only signs, you may know some sign language but they're signing too fast and you can't follow it or take it in. Without access to captions we're both left in the dark.
Also, if there are accurate captions on a video it means the UA-camr or a subscriber wrote them in, not UA-cam itself. :)
Wow finally a top 10 channel that's not click bait
watchmojo?
The Richest
Molly McCann the richest is a terrible top 10 channel full of click bait
If the Mighty Mug people really want to impress me they'll make a video of someone swinging a sledgehammer sideways into the mug. If the grip remains attached, even if the mug itself shatters, I will believe them. The videos shown here look like the people are afraid of knocking it over. Granted it certainly holds tighter than a regular mug, the claims they make sound loftier than they show.
I suggest you google "mighty mug Kathie Lee Gifford". No sledgehammer needed, fortunately/sadly.
thing is, i have seen people punch or hit it hard, of-course a sledge would topple it. When you watch the video you see Kathie smacking it diagonally, from the rim of the cup which knocks it over.
+HaloInverse I saw that Kathie Lee video, she looked so angry after she knocked it over 😂
I've got one at home, it really is hard to knock over. It's impossible that I'd ever accidentally knock it over.
You know, I thought I was sick of list videos until I discovered this channel. Buzzfeed had almost ruined listing videos for me. I'm glad to have found a channel that does list videos on interesting topics and edited well. Good job Simon, keep em coming! (Boo buzzfeed)
+TopTenz Are you guys talking about the channel called Notch JoJo
Boo buzzfeed!!!!
let me guess on some of your favorite (most hated) Buzzfeed vids. Top 10 piles of shite, Top ten Queers found on the internet, Top Ten ways to die from an insect burroing into your brain.
I feel your pain man, while I do not mind top 10's I have hade to block several from showing up in my recomended list because the topics are either to strange, or just fucking disgusting.
Gotta be careful though, Some of the top 10s here aren't all that accurate at times.
+jordan peer yea, the icecream thing, its here in America at some japaneese place. A SMALL BUISINESS NOT TOP CLASS ONLY JACKASS
There was literally a viral video of a lady for ages who was hitting the mug over on a tv talk show.
Stumbled across this channel on my recommend. Glad I did. Great job and keep up the great work!
Top 10 objects that were clearly invented just to annoy physics, seem to be made primarily by physicist, engineers, or chemists.....silly title
+DeadLink 404 I get the point of the video, the title is just bad
I feel like the last guy annoyed some people that may work in physics
+peterking167 it annoyed me so hard. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PLASMA SWORDS AND FLAMING GLOVES I COULD'VE MADE. DO YOU!!!
It's. A. Metaphor.
Do. you. even. know. what. metaphor. means?
Chinese restaurants have been selling deep fried icecream for years
More so mexican
It's also not really a mystery. You can burn meat on the outside while a few millimeters in it's still raw. Just wrap ice in dough, put it in the deep fry for just long enough and done.
+Chaosmagican well with a bit more complicated steps, my mum use to make fried ice cream :D
is that deep fried icecream served inside a hot pie?
so, is it?
Adam Grabbert deep fried icecream is only sold at Chinese restaurants in australia
Great content as always (iv watched alot of these, beard or no beard) but i have to say this is the first vid I've ever seen from anyone that actually accommodates for people casting from a phone by linking videos they display in closing in their description. Thankyou from people like me everywhere.
Great job, this video has me hooked on your channel!
The mighty mug is an easy riddle... There is a split, ca. 7cm from the bottom, going around the cup (you can see it in the videos)... When u lift the mug the split opens the air flow to the bottom hole and you can lift it up... When placing your cup back down you press the air out of the spot and an hypotension builds up.. When u try to knock the mug ober, the split is closed anf the hypotention stays and holds the sucks the cup on the surface... (Btw sry for maybe bad english, i'm not a native speaker)
I just wanna know if i can use them to climb walls? xD
+EDyrby Lol! I didn't think that it could be used that way but that is pretty clever.
Try strapping one to each foot and one to each hand, tell me how it goes.
so for people that don't like wasting there time, what he's saying is its a vacuum.
He's saying it's a suction cup with a valve that releases suction when it is lifted. If using them to climb walls, I wouldn't recommend strapping them to your feet. If at any moment you relied on your feet for support, your hands would likely start to fall back from the wall and lose suction.
no ads the whole video? subbed.
you could just try.... >.>
tell that to exactly 348,000 ads blocked since I got it
But I Mostly use it on pop-up sites...
+Terrance Meant learn to read dipshir I said pointless ads that aren't needed to keep the site up,and youtube doesn't need ads to stay up
Terrance Meant 1) You don't have to have ads enabled to post on UA-cam
2)ads that play in the videos are not the only ads that appear on the site(given that youtube is owned by google, this is completely unneeded)
I'm not going to turn adblock off here just because YOU think using it is shitty, especially when pointless ads can cause lag if there are enough of them.
Splitting wood is 90% technique and 10% strength. Lifting the axe is the tiring part, the rest is skill.
Unless you are splitting cottonwood. Then you should just give up and throw the whole tree away.
I have a rattleback I bought decades ago. Another interesting feature: If you gently press down on either end of a stationary rattle back, it will start turning in its natural direction.
lol at 7:23 it would probably be a deal with Crowley
Dem crossroads will kill ya.
my people
my people are everywhere😂
get sam and dean!
Sup fam
you should rename this video to "Top 10 Objects That Were Clearly Invented Just to embrace physics" because thats exactly what every one of these things do.
Awesome video. Some of these things are so crazy.
Wow! Really nice channel, this is the first time ive been here but it wont be the last :D
Indeed ;^)
Pompy_playz same
The last guy could have literally changed the world
What if you threw starlight on the sun?
our planet would be turned into a giant ball of ice
d aaland Ahhhh
Muse will be sad
The freeman has spoken !!
borf borf borf
Love the channel
lol! Sweet items lol! Would love to see more, please. Thank you for this upload lol!
I'm pretty sure the last guy was a wizard...
6:20 I have a glass like that. Last time I used it, it said I was drinking vodka, coke and rohypnol. I woke up the next day with a sore arse. I blame the manufacturor
That reminds me of the time this guy in a van needed me to smell his chloroform to tell if it had gone bad.
+Corpsie I remember this one guy in a van who was giving out free candy when I was younger who asked me to get in and try some I can't remember much after that but he was a real nice guy.
you can't buy the glass
Cool! Thank you for the video :)
great video I'm subbing
Title its stupid
+TopTenz hahahahaha lmao
how lol
+Nate Taylor Ryan how
So is your grammar
+TopTenz fucked up egg
Imagine putting the one way bulletproof glass the wrong way... XD R.I.P
Good job you can copy top comments
lol
lol
AstroEskits ? I didn't copy the comment.... I don't check through the entire comments section....
+AstroEskits Lol do you think multiple people can't have the same thought or observation?? Try not to choke to death on your own pointless vacuous sarcasm.
Well Done. Thank you
Why are people who are fully bald always so hairy?
Hmmm never thought of it I'm bald and hairy all over
life joke , hair were you don't want it , no hair were you want it
life is full of joke don't look for them. you will not stop laughing .

Skinny gay santoro?
+TopTenz I was jk btw but sorry XDD
+TopTenz bwhaha 😂😂
How do you not know how the Mighty Mug works, It's clearly suction.
Dang 11 likes already thank you I broke my record of likes ( 3 ) XDDDD
(I meant like a skinny gay version of Mathew santoro (God of top # lists)
I'm a hydrosexual, thats hydrophobic. Check your privilege
I spat out my coffee. This comment had be rolling.
+ZarolTheFlame *me, sorry.
+ZarolTheFlame You should of just rolled with it
HAHAHAHA!
How? It's some text I've never had text had me react more than just a smile
Hey +TopTenz im not sure if you know this but if your videos are 10+ minutes you get an extra ad and a higher chance or being on someone recommended list and youtube homepage. (+ this so they can see)
You are the first gosh dang person to realize that mobile users can't click stuff, and put the links in the description. I'm going to subscribe to your channel for that reason alone. I mean, I like your videos and all, but I rarely subscribe to things.
hey can the cipher (the glass that shows the name of the drink in it ) tell the difference between coca and pepsi ? :p
Can it even tell what water is?
I think it's just colored dots... on a glass...
No because it fills in blank spaces in combination with colored dots to form words so since coke and pepsi are the same color it wouldn't know.
oh nice :D thanks
+Kammie Elizabeth Only it can tell the difference. The dots are both inside and out and they take a small sample and analyze it, based on its ingredients the cup is programmed to make dots transparent or keep them colored. Even the photo showed in this video showed that it knew coke...
guys! i've learned the formula for starlite!!!!! it's 1 part cornstarch, 2 parts water, 4 parts cement, 3 parts powdered titanium, and 2 parts school glue. mix it all up in a small bowl and coat something in it!
***** i discovered it by experimenting. all i thought was that the final product is fire proof and white, so i used white, fire proof things.
I think you should read the Wiki page for starlite, it says it has around 20 ingredients, it is possible you found it but you might have just found another thing with similar properties
rusty anvile yeah lol! i guess i did something different. but it doesn't catch fire nor let heat through and it's a white goo. so i think i win!
My mom (who is smart primarily in ways other than math and science) once stumped a roomful of chemical engineers and other scientists (including my dad, who has a doctorate in chem. eng.) who were talking about how things expand when heated. How? "What about shrinky-dinks?" she asked them.
Subbed nice channel
What if you pee in the glass that shows whats in it will it spell pee?
I think it only has a limited amount of liquids it can differentiate from.
+Charlie Seddon I guess it was a joke anyway
if your pee has same color as apple juice, it will spell out apple juice.
What if you cum in it?
probably not. it's ment to spell beverages
3:25 we've done it, guys. we've created force fields
Finally jeez. Only took 14 years of me being alive.
+K Rogers haha nice one
Mikah Mitchell not as cool as the sci fi ones tho someone would haves to trap a soldier in the bubble whereas in the sci fi ones they just set a stand down or push a button. but this glass thing is cool
Mikah Mitchell also wish the thing was only one way so the enemy cant see you and you could shoot him😂
I like how he mentions that you can punch the mighty mug about 60 times but never shows a clip of one being punched.
The cup that can't be moved is like the practice pads for drumming, it uses air pressure or something to hold it down but the drumming pads have to be picked up from one of the sides or slid off of the table but if you lift straight up you could lift a desk without it disconnecting and that cup probably uses something similar to that
Those people that don't want to share their inventions like starlike probably don't want to because it's voodoo magic!
I am assuming it was just all horseshit for attention.
well... he saw what hapoend to Tesla...so... i would take it to the grave... man kind with such power usually turn Evil.... perhaos he knew this and optes to leave it alone.... who know what would have happend if he told..then died...and an evil scientist want to.... ok..ok... Avengers anyone?
Easy solution, Sell the finished product only, keeping the recipe in the family
It's not that it "happened" to tesla. Tesla was in support of the information being public and not hidden. So long as people were benefitting, he was content. He didn't seek profit as strongly as edison. I wouldn't take a secret like that to the grave, I would have shared it as soon as I found it.
I'd be poor shortly after, but I don't prefer money at the expense of the benefit of others.
why did that guy not sell starlight you know how many lives he could have saved if people were stuck in a burning building
Probably afraid of the exact opposite
Two reasons
1:it could be used by military groups which could shift the balance of power in unexpected and possibly bad ways
2:he was afraid of others taking all the credit which is more common than it should be
because it wasn't real. read up on it. the guy made loads of claims about it being super strong and heat resistant and the best insulator ever made but was unable to back up any claims. he "refused" to recreate it and some how the only samples of the indestructible material were..destroyed. it was a pure hoax to become famous.
Except it wasn't just claims by him. There was actual testing by the ICI, the British Atomic Weapons Establishment, among others... if it was a hoax, any one of these tests could have said "it doesn't work" yet they didn't. I mean, you say to read up on it and I did in response to your claim but everything I've read has said that it wasn't just him testing it. I wouldn't doubt there might be a downside to it he might not have wanted to reveal or something more to the situation then claimed but it certainly wasn't a problem of the claims not being at least partially being backed up by outside sources.
Well, thank you paranoid man for making atmospheric reentry that much harder
Hahaha this was amazing, I really want The Mighty Mug now
These aren't us saying "Suck that, Physics", that's Physics saying, "Suck that, humans!"
This was very interesting, can't wait to impress my science teacher!
If he is younger than 30 he probably has seen/heard of at least half of these before, likely on UA-cam. Mindblow.
+TopTenz burn lol
said no one ever
lol this video was funny and informal; you guys made science fun for me XD
Good video!
when you don't have any ideas for top tens lol
top 10 worst top 10 lists
+I GoT No AiMBoT I just did. I do not regret it one bit. Thank you
>using lol
Anyone notice that death glare to his left at 00:05
+Pesachya Glixman -- m-hmmm 3:-)
+Pesachya Glixman I see nothing.
what? i see nothing explain pls
Good to see people using other accounts to like comments. Makes you look good.
Every single time I hear about that starlite guy I get increasingly pissed off.
Whoa, what happened to Matthew Santorro? Awesome list btw
Mathew santoro is called the king of top ten five 15 and 20 list he's pretty good
Plus his teeth are actually the whitest thing in existence
+TommyTom plus he is plagiarism
who?
+uhZeny Your are the problem...
is he an egg
Looks like it
A very annoying egg.
we're two minutes in and I'm still laughing 😂
who?
who?
i wanna know how they deep fry icecream
I do something pretty similar. Instead of doing multiple coats, I go to a restaurant and order it.
Alexander Jones my man
Fantasy Connect brah
Alexander Jones The only time I ever made it was while working at a restaurant, so technically it's kinda the same haha
+Leon Bridges a friend of mine makes it by wrapping the ball of ice cream in a few layers of filo pastry. Tastes just as good and it works.
There is a non-commercial super hydrophobic spray available. It's called Never-Wet and I've been using it since 2013.
"You could even stick it to a vertical surface and punch it ... If you wanted to" 😂😂
Mighty mug!
So if I use the cipher glass. Everyone will know Im drinking pee?
duude that starlite stuff would do so much in world ... that was one hell of a invention
Wow, I need one of those Mighty Mugs! Due to my almost complete lack of depth perception, I sometimes totally over-reach for a glass or bottle, only to knock them over and make a mess (did it two times in a row a few days ago, once onto my new computer).
I'm a Stsrbucks Barista...I've seen that mug in person and you can't even slide it, let alone make it tip...it was amazing!
Actually, at least half of these are potentially extremely useful - not just to be cool.. That glass, for example, could be used for defensive purposes. Protect everyone behind it while being able to shoot back without leaving its protection. Kind of a poor choice of video title for the things listed in it.
I first thought you meant the cipher glass cup and got confused when you started talking about it protecting people from bullets. I mean it could tell you what the bullet is made from and probably cause a bruise if you threw it, but that's where the weaponisable use ends :')
RuthlessDutchman Hah! Better yet, use them for target practice. Maybe you could alter them to display a score somehow.
***** If shooter was in building...
Then bullet proof glass would be faced outwards, because doing it other way around is dumb.
Or how about better just use normal bullet proof glass instead?
The point stands that there is glass made where it is bulletproof from one side but breaks without shattering from the other. Ignoring the practicalities of it, the fact it exists is still pretty cool
RuthlessDutchman It's useless.
Glass that is bullet proof from two sides is more valuable because you don't have to be paranoid about which way it was put in, just stay where you are behind it.
what would happen if I pissed in a cipher glass
Asking the real questions
It will just say granny's peach tea...obviously.
It's made for fooling your friends into thinking it could actually tell what drink it is, it doesn't really tell what drink it is. The procedure is to buy the glass that says the drink that you'll pour in it in the future, then show your friends that the glass can tell what drink you poured. It's just a bunch of colored dots and a hidden text that you can't read until you pour a drink with the correct color on it. For short, it's made for magic tricks.
+Detranica AKA Delta lol explotion
+Hansong Uchiha i love you for that comment ;-; #gravityfallsftw
How does one "Annoy Physics?''
You play Fred on Max volume
They meant physicist
This is my favorite list so far.
I really want to punch a mug right now.
I want to take a bat to it.
great video, best bits were the paid product placements, put more of those in next time pls
+TopTenz LMAO
if you really didnt get paid for that mighty mug ad you're all chumps. Chumps I say!
My only regret is that my adblocker didn't block that one
oh no he's getting paid!!? OH NO HE NEEDS MONEY TO FEED HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY?! WHAT A MONSTER
+BrandonTheManiac Nobody is against paid advertising. But paid making an entire video based on it is wrong. A master of consumerism is able to target the consumer with specific products and still manage to get a satisfactory response from the public. Certainly not the likes of this guy.
The mighty mug works by suction cup. Its two separate parts put together. The weight of the cup pushes the air out threw a vent while the cup part has an attachment on the bottom that when picked up opens the air vent to let it lift up.
For the mug I think there is ooblick in the bottom because that's the only substance with the same reaction - liquid when gently touched, solid when violently hit.
Isn't there a video where they were testing the mighty mug and the lady punched it and it fell over?
You say it like you're the one being tricking to physics when physics is the one tricking you
Like you're the one tricking physics*
I studied physics and these things in the video sound perfectly logical to me
I traveled all the way to Madrid to try #5 the Panet. Totally worth it
I love how youre marveling over baked alaska
one way bullet proof glass is genius. if someone shoots you that's safety.... if they come inside your home and you need to get out fast you can break the glass easy. cmon peeps:)
Or if someone tries to shoot you inside a car and their billet doesn't penetrate but your free to gun them down.
thats kind of assolish though, If your so well protected.
...1. physics cannot think or get annoyed, BECAUSE IT IS NOT SOMETHING PHYSICAL. 2. These things work because of physics...
calm down
your profile picture is minecraft and so are 2 out of 3 of your videos. Your statement is null.
SuperEpicAwesomeness Minecraft is a dimention on it's own. If you put physics in it, then it will not be the big success it is now, no matter if you agree or not. And still my 2 statements are totally true.
What? So a banana can think because it is physical? If you are gonna be such an overly-sensitive critique about a satirical title for a video by correcting it for not making sense, at least try to make sense yourself. :L

It has to be at least physical to think, not that everything physical can think...
Mighty Mug works with a suction cup. There's a hole in the center of the suction cup and when it's placed down the hole seals. If you lift it the lifting opens up the hole allowing air in, and breaking the seal. It really does work, I bought one a few years back
The Mighty Mug uses a chamber that is air-tight when tilted, but not when straight up. When the object is being knocked over, the chamber tilts and causes an air-tight seal, preventing the object from continuing to fall
My running theory for most things is elves or one sided deals with satan
Someone never heard of baked alaska, it seems!
ikr! baked Alaska is like a miracle dish
tempura ice cream is good too.
that's exactly what I was gonna say
+Masen Gambell from a physics (or chemistry) point of view the effect is precisely the same. The outer layer forms a protective heat shield. It's not rocket science.
+Masen Gambell baked alaska is icecream surrounded by sponge then covered in italian meringue and torched. traditionally it would be served by pouring brandy over it and setting it alight. but with health n safety, no more.
also. no cream. the cream would melt, there are no sugars in cream. never mention baked alaska with the implications that there is cream on it or i will suck the eyes outta your head.
yours sincerely,
Bob, Chef de Partie, Patissier.
I have took an interest in the mighty mug when it released and displayed at a store. Notice how the outerpartsouter mug is form of 2 main parts, and it wiggles sideways( when you push, shake or whatever) on the top part, and the thing stay still when you pick it up vertically. I suspect the mug work by suction. So what happens when you shake it, the motion triggers a part in the bottom of the mug( notice there is a hole) and pull a thing up and creates a vacuum there, and so the vacuum holds the mug, like suction cups.
And so the mug only stays on appropriate surfaces( nice flat smooth surface like what a suction cup stays on).
