The incident that really sticks out in my mind is when Beyonce was asked to sing At Last at the first Obama inauguration (just after Cadillac Records came out) and Ms Etta FLIPPED OUT that SHE was not asked to perform HER song! Insulted Obama's looks and vowed to whoop Queen Bey's ass, literally. The hilarious part is that she seemed to have forgotten that though she certainly popularized and made it iconic At Last wasn't originally her song at all... It was a Glenn Miller song from the early 40s and she covered it 😂
