I love 2 , I am so sorry it didn’t sell but upward and onward to another idea 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
💯 Brenda🥰
I love the the third chippy version. I’m an aged character type.
I think YOU deserve a real and virtual hug.🥰
Happy Easter my favorite Southern Ausi American friend.
Ahhh Valerie you are a treasure thank you I receive that hug 🤗🥰
Thank you for your realistic #s and showing us how not everything sells. Sometimes, I see videos of makeovers and wonder.
Absolutely! Glad you found this video helpful
Love both pieces, but that 2nd piece was awesome with the chippyness and that hardware! ❤
Ahhh the chippy goodness 😍 has me every time
I love the chippy black! You are so sweet and fun to watch. I am inspired!
Colleen thank you you are so lovely saying that 🥰
I can't believe that neither of them sold Sarah! They were beautiful and you've made them beautiful again. I prefer the dusty pink colour over the green, but I'm not the biggest fan of green. Everyone has different tastes, which is absolutely fine. The dusty pink now makes it look even more stunning 💜
Oh boy yeah me either! Not a fan of when that happens 😂 the dusty pink seems to be a hit for sure I may have to finish the last third as it is still staring at me in the next room 😆 grateful for you Kim
Dusty rose, definitely! Beautiful!
Yes! Thank you!
I love every single incarnation. That dusty rose colour is beautiful. I love the paper. You know I love the chippy 🧡🧡🧡
Gurl!!! We are the same person 🥰
I loved them all but that dusty pink was WOW 😊
I love the dusty rose!
It is a lovely colour 😍
Oh my word that do over on the green dresser in the dusty rose is gorgeous! It’s soft , elegant and just perfect!
Ahhh thanks Valorie 🥰
Love the 2nd makeover.
My heart belongs to old furniture and chippy and boho looks.
It's a stunner, and love the handles ❤
Sounds like we have similar tastes 🥰
@@VintageAndPainted
That's what I was thinking 😊
I got your virtual hug, so thanks for that!!
Also the remake of both of these are awesome and I have no doubt they will sell!! Xoxo
Ahhh I’m glad here’s another 😉
@@VintageAndPainted thanks girlfriend!!!! Right back atcha
The second piece, final version, you rocked it!!
Ahhh thanks Kerry! 🥰
Hi Sarah ~ I LOVED this video. We appreciate you sharing the numbers with us. Not everyone does that and I think it is especially helpful for newbies like myself to learn from even if we are in different markets! My heart has the chippy look everyday and all day!! I hope that will sell in my area because that look makes my heart soo happy too!!! Can't wait for your next video!!! 🤗 💖
I'm so glad you loved the video and found it helpful that is always a dream to hear!! I have my fingers and toes crossed that the chippy looks sells like crazy for you!
The third one is definitely my favorite !!! Gorgeous !
Yay! Thank you! 🥰
I can’t believe the green didn’t sell. It was such a gorgeous colour. But I also like the dusty rose. Heck, I like it all 😂
I totally agree! On all fronts 😂 thanks lovely
It is not an easy way to make a living. This is a good reality check . I liked all versions of both. I can see where the green might be too specific. A lot of people are beige, and that is a really bad word in my house! 😂😂
Hahaha love that beige is a bad word Teresa 🥰 your right it’s not an easy way to make money. Appreciate you 💜
Love the pulls.I love the second one
They are so lovely!!! 🥰
I am surprised! Love the dusty rose look
Me too Paula 😊
Hey Sarah. thanks for the insight. I do like the final presentation. More important for me is the process and creativity you share. review, regroup, move forward, sometimes in business and in life.. be well
So true! So wise. Great advice for life. Thanks friend. Have a lovely week
Yellow is happy but I wouldn’t work for me. The second one is so artistic, so to each their on. I could totally see the black chippy in my house. 😊
I kinda want to makeover Hopes room and keep it now 😂🥰
Glad green was changed love the second!! I am very modern so chippy is not on my radar. But I think we’re blessed to be able to see all of these makeovers. Because everybody’s different and we love the blessing of you giving us beauty in different forms. Thanks
Ahhh Donna I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for saying that 🥰 room for all the styles 😍
LOVE LOVE LOVE this video! I can't decide about what finish I like the most but I do really feel the calm of the dusty pink instead of the green. Everything about this was really engaging and I loved when you opened the paint and stirred and when we got to see you at your workbench mixing the powder. Really awesome!
Ahhh thank you Nev. makes me happy to know you enjoyed this video and the process so much!
I can’t believe someone didn’t snatched the green/natural one. It was stunning, but I 💯 get it. I have two dresses I haven’t been able to sell.
Oh man I was so hoping someone would. To me it was pretty 🤷♀️ I think my price point will make it a slower sale…oh well
Hello Sarah, both pieces turned out wonderfully. I love them both, but that chippy one....love it! Blessings, to you and your family. Can't wait until the next video
Ahhh you know how I feel about it too...just love me some chippy!!! Hope you are well!
Like I said, I’m old. To me, the latest version of the chest of drawers looks like it needs to be re-done again. It looks like what you would find to make over to begin with. I love the one with the girl on the front. Your blending of colors is mystical and no matter what else is in the room, it would fit in just fine.
The decoupage paper was beautiful and it was so fun matching up the paint with the paper.
Appreciate you 🥰
From a design perspective I loved the green. It was so bold in photos and gorgeous! From a selling pov the pink is definitely the way to go. Less people can probably work with the green. The second piece really surprised me that it didn't sell on either 1 or 2 makeover. I loved all 3 looks! Fingers crossed both go very quickly now. Great work as always Sarah and also thanks for being fully honest. This artistic life isn't always a walk in the park. We have to be flexible to pivot when needed!
I should have entered it in the makers challenge 🤦🏼♀️ I didn't even think of that, oh well. It's still here Jenn 🤨 I don't think people like the dipped look in my area. May have to finish the last third off int he pink and see if it sells. So grateful for you Jenn and your encouragement and our convos
I loved all versions actually. It's so hard guessing what will be appealing. My heart belongs to an antique chest of drawers, but they do not move in my area (unless you're giving it away- which I am not :)~ I hope the new iterations sell quickly for you, sweets!!
Thanks Trish 🥰 love ya face
I like a bedroom to be a calm and soothing space. So, I really like the dusty rose repaint. And, the first redo on the other dresser fits with my decor style.
Love this 🥰
Oh I love the dusty rose. The green was beautiful as well. On the second dresser I love the second one. I loved the paper on it.
That combo of the dusty rose and the decoupage has been popular!! and I agree
The first one ended up very elegant looking, the rose was lovely. The second one ended up quite rustic and I can see the appeal there also. Fingers crossed 🤞
Fingers and toes crossed 😂🤞🏻
Gorgeous!
I used to sell my low interest pieces for a low profit instead of redoing them.
My local thrift stores and market place furniture options have gone from a average of $50 a dresser to $120-$150 a dresser.
I will know longer be selling myself short!
These are great ideas for me to try out!
It’s so crazy to me the amount thrift shops are selling donated pieces for! It really is sad!
Wishing you all the best.
Repainting is a difficult but necessary decision sometimes. I agree with you that the marketplace determines what happens. I like all the makeovers. Hope this is the winner one!
Thanks lovely 🥰
The long dresser was awesome in the green but I agree with you the pink is much softer and I love it! I really appreciated the second look on the taller piece. I like the last look as well.
Thanks Kimberly I agree with all that you said 😊🥰
I really like the one with paper and it’s really too bad that didn’t sell but hopefully this one will. If not I would remove that back panel and that might be all it needs to sell. Good luck and keep us posted.
Good idea and thank you 🤞🏻 fingers are crossed
I live how you made this look like it had always been that way
Ahhh thank you 😊
they are all lovely. great job
Thanks Jill 🥰
I liked number two finish. very unique
Thanks Randy
I have only ever done that one time, they were beautiful before and they are stunning now!
Ahhh thank is Jenna 🥰
Both on the 1st . 2nd on the 2nd dresser. You did a great job on all versions
Thanks so much 😊 Denise you are the best
Hi Sarah. I really like both numbers 2 and 3. Also like the colour you re-painted the other dresser with. Hopefully it will sell for you now. As always, thanks for the great video. Take care! 💜
Ahh thanks Joann. No luck yet but that’s ok in it for the long haul 🥰
Thanks for showing that it's ok for things not to sell and to just take a deep breath and try again! I think sometimes we all forget that not everyone's tastes are the same (which is a wonderful thing because otherwise...boring!!) it's easy to feel hurt when it seems like no-one likes what so much effort went into but I personally try to pull up my big girl pants and move on. I really loved the green in the first piece but I ADORE the pink in the second ❤ and my favourite in the second piece is the last makeover, I wait with baited breath for your videos and almost wet myself laughing with you saying Bugger, now what? in the title 🤣maybe you should do a short video using as many Aussie expressions and sayings as possible and have a translation in the comments...you are a wonderful artist and person so thank you for sharing your life with us strangers!! 🥰
Thanks so much Margaret. My fave part of what you said was “i personally pull up my big girl pants 😂” a great reminder to get on with it!!!
Binging on your videos as my Friday reward 💗 ty!
Well I’m happy you’re enjoying them 🥰
No 1 for both, go figure I must have no taste lol I love all the work you do.
Hahaha Carol you made me laugh out loud with this one! 😂 I am sure that is 💯 not true. I liked #1 on both too…#peasinapod 😂
Laura had a problem with a dresser painted the same way. I love the color it is now , I think the color is calming now and very beautiful. 🎉🎉
Yeah I saw that video too. Hoping this colour makes a positive effect
Love, Love, Love both as well.
I’m so glad 😀
On the long dresser, my choice is the dusty rose as it goes beautifully with the white wash.
The green might of gone better with a brown stain and a richer green. And I am not a fan of pink but it seriously looks great!
On the tall dresser number 3 with the image was really nice but maybe has a smaller interested number of potential buyers and number 4 I feel will have more who would be interested. The chippy paint fits what is looking quite popular it fits the antique look of the piece and it is painted with quite neutral colors that could go with many different room themes.
Love that suggestion that the green may have worked better with a brown stain! Thanks for sharing that with me.
Hi Sarah! Although I do like the makeover in the beginning, I have to say that the new makeovers on both are just fabulous!!! Nice job reimagining both pieces! 💜❤💜
I'm so glad Lori! And I have good news I sold the vintage piece just today!!! Ahhh I’m so relieved 😊 thanks so much for the kind words 💜💜
@@VintageAndPainted That's great news, Sarah I just knew they were going to sell! Awesome
Oh Sarah, I do hate it when you have to re-do a piece after all the hard work you put into them. I like the befores and afters :-D Hopefully the new look for both of those will appeal to a broader range of buyers. Best of luck xo
Oh man yeah me too but you already knew that 😂 fingers and toes crossed!!!
The first makeover on the long dresser was so special. I really liked the green. Now its beautiful but a bit normal. Anyways , I do understand that this green was harder do sell as it doesn’t fit into every house maybe.
The second piece is gorgeous now. I loved the paper but now it looks fantastic and would take it if I only could.
I hope you are going to sell the pieces soon. ✊✊✊
Thanks Barbara 🥰 I’ll take those well wishes and positive vibes. Hoping for quick sales as well 😍
the first piece I liked the your original idea. (that mauve color gives me 80's vibes lol) I love love the second pieces last make over..
Oh really wow that’s interesting. I’ll have to take a critical look at it again 🥰
I love the two tone piece. I have done this same look twice and had to redo them. No one likes it and I don’t understand why. Let us know when these sell!
Oh man sorry about that..yeah I must say I have not had any takers. I think I'll wait another week and then finish to top 1/3 and have it all the same colour may have to gild the hardware gold as well 🤷🏼♀️ I'm with you not sure why people don't like it but thats ok...each to their own ☺️
I Totally understand and have had my share of repainting and many crickets haha ..I absolutely love all 4 makeovers .,.. happy Easter to you and family my friend 🥰❣️👍
Happy Easter Debra sending love
I love both the new color is beautiful and probably easier for you to sell good luck you do great work!❤
Thank you so much!!
Love the remake! Gorgeous ❤
Glad you like it!
I liked them both in their original state that you did. The bottom green cabinet I might have tried the black paint over that is sprayed on and then wiped off leaving some black here and there. I forget what that is called! Lol! Beautiful pieces.
Thanks Lois…I do like things a little so the green was my fave too. I loved your suggestion too thank you
My favorite for the second dresser is the one with Tarin’s paper
Yay I was so sad to paint over it
If I am completely honest, l love both looks on the long dresser, I would take chances with the green, but I know others don't feel the same. The second version is very calm, good luck selling it.🤓
Oh I would to. Something bold and beautiful to wake up to in your room 🥰😆
Thank you for sharing your journey with these pieces. I too tried a non neutral look and it didn’t sell in a consignment shop. Then a new client saw it and bought it the first week I had it home. You never know. But I do like the soft pink and the second 2 versions of the taller dresser. Beautiful work!
Ahhh thanks so much Kim and for sharing your experience. Love hearing others journeys
I love the remakes on both
I’m so glad Sherry
I actually preferred the green but the dusty rose would probably go with more colors. Beautiful work as always!
I think so too! But hopefully they sell now after all that repainting 😂
LOVED ALL!!!!
So glad
I was a big fan of the green but OMG, I just love the new color you chose. I think it should sell quickly now. Crossing my fingers for you! :)
hehehe well I am glad you like the new colour! 🤞me too
Hi ya Sarah. I loved them all , it agree the dresser is more calming in the dusty pink and fits into any room . I did like the last makeover too ❤ milk paint and how chippy it looks ! Goodluck with these , but I reckon they’ll sell no problem 👍Have an awesome day hun till next time take care X
Thanks lovely 🥰 ALL about the chip!!! So fun. Hope you are having a beautiful week
Andersonville, Tennessee here! Running behind this morning but watching now! Happy Easter, Sarah!
Hey Tracey Happy Easter💜
The redo on both were great
Thanks so much Allen
I think the green one repainted is great, but I think the bottom dates it and needs cut off and/ or replaced to update.
You are probably and the thought did cross my mind to update it. Not in the budget sadly
I also thought the dark green in the long dresser too specific. I love the color you remade it. As far as the tall dresser, I absolutely loved the second one with the girl and paper. That’s how I do a few of mine. It’s too bad it didn’t t sell ( what’s wrong with these people? 🤦♀️🤷♀️). Anyway, the black chippy is also nice.
What I really love is that you are honest and show us what works, and what happens if the market says not so much. Most you tubers do not address this very real problem. Thank you for truth!
Ahhh Lisa thanks so much for saying this. So good to know that a video like this every now and again is helpful! Appreciate you
I love the chippy too!
Ahhh yay!!! Thanks Leslie
I like the new color for a bedroom also. But the green is so beautiful, my favorite. If I had another room to put it in I'd definitely go with the green!
It was so lovely and different and we know I like different 😂
I loved the first dresser both in green and in the neutral color! I hope it sells right away ! Regarding the second piece, I loved the previous makeover but this last one is so fitting to the character of the piece that I am amazed! I hope it also sells right away! You can achieve this look also by using newspaper. You paint the base color without any texture and you add the top color and remove some of it by taping crinkled newspaper ( I have done this on a jewelry box after watching Anie Sloan do it on a door... watch that video... it's so close to your artistic taste). Thanks so much for sharing
Sophia I love this!!! Absolutely going to try it. I think I know the video your referring to as well 😆 love Annie Sloan she’s amazing!!!
Appreciate you and your encouragement thanks friend
Much as they were nice, they're were a bit too quirky before. Most people aren't that adventurous & want pieces that go with what they already have. I'd paint the top drawers of the dusty pink one too as it looks odd like that .
I think that makes sense and will probably be my next move if she still doesn’t sell 🥰 thanks Sarah
So hard to pick Sar but I went with what you felt also. 2 for the first one and 3 for the second one❤ Good luck selling them.
Thanks so much Jan...fingers and toes crossed for this one 😍
🐼 Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 69 yr old grandma in Texas, USA. 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍 🧚♂ 🐈 🧚 🍀 💐 🌸
Grammy bear!!! How are you? Lovely to see you again 😍
I love both new looks❤
Thanks LaVonne 🥰
Happy Easter and Happy Passover, for you dear Sarah and for your loved ones, viewers & friends! I like the third version best. I also liked the green sideboard but didn't like the two tone drawer look. I really like your work, but I think you could keep it simpler. For example, I don't like drawers or cupboard interiors with paper pasted into them. Incidentally, in Germany you can deduct the expenses from your taxes (purchase price, material and other costs). Anyway, I admire your work and especially your honesty.
Happy Easter and Happy Passover to you also Helen. Thanks for your insights on these pieces. Trying the 2 toned but may end up having to paint the top portion as well. We will see🥰
Dusty Rose ✅ as the heritage green has had its day .
Hehehe thanks Darren
The long dresser looks beautiful both ways, but the new color scheme would work anywhere. Although green is in now, it is specific in its appeal. I liked the second iteration of the tall chest. Love your work and hope these sell quickly and profitably.
Thank you Kay hoping that as well. Appreciate your insight and encouragement 🥰
loved 3 on the last one you did beautiful but alos the last one with chippy paint
Me too…chippy is my thing 😍
Morning everyone!!
Morning lovely Robin 🥰
Hang in there gorgeous girl. All versions were beautiful. We all get frustrated with The Market. I remember chasing someone down an aisle at an antique market in Balmain saying “how much do ya wanna pay???” (Not my finest moment). Much love. Xox
thank you1 hehehe your "moment" made me giggle...we've all been there! Patience is not my strong suit but I think I have gotten better since selling furniture...some times its a long game 😩 but I'm hanging on 😍
I love the actual green colour but the dusty rose is more suitable for a dresser.
💯 agree. As fun as the green was it’s not for everyone 😊
Remake #1: Love the new colour. I love green but I wasn't keen on that green. The pink is so much nicer.
Remake #2: I loved the second makeover with the decoupage. It was really beautiful. I love this new look too, but it's not my fave.
Good luck selling these ones, although I'm expecting that they've already gone🤞
Well thank you 🥰 love your thinking. I totally agree with your insights on makeover 1 and 2. The paper on 2 was my fave 😍
3rd look for me on the 1930's chest of drawers...the color but love those legs and shape of those depression pieces...
Oh yes the legs get me every time!!!
Love them all! I also have a green bird like yours! And I live in South Africa! 🤣❤️
hehehe love it Pam!
I like the first one both.
Thanks Debra 🥰
PERSONALLY, as far as the Chest is concerned, I LOVED the White!!!! Of course, I've always LOVED White Furniture!!!! And the Dresser, just LOVELY!!!! MUCH MORE SUBTLE than before!!!! Hope you sell them BOTH!!!!😀👌
You know I don’t do much white! I should do more 🥰
It's beautiful
Thanks Mary 🥰
Wow I wasn’t expecting that
Hehehe which part 😊
@@VintageAndPainted the end results and one day I’ll remember “trust the process”.
My advice with the dresser is to change the actual structure. The scrolls on doors and base look very 80’s so the result is a painted dresser from the 80’s. You can detach base and straighten lines and then build an easy modern wood base. I would also change the hardware to a newer finish and design. Another option would be to jigsaw out center of doors and replace with cane webbing. I know it’s a lot of work but for 775 I can get a newer more modern piece. Good luck!
I appreciate this thanks Monique. I actually did look at updating the base. I just didn’t include it in either video. It’s a bit tricky on this dresser and I may do a quick short video about it.
It’s solid oak and the base needs to be solid to support that weight. Behind the decorative and I did agree, dated curves of the original base are solid chunks of wood to support the weight. Removing the base would reveal those structures and the more modern base I do would not be sufficient to either hide those structures or support the weight.
Anyway I so appreciate your insight and agree an updated base would elevate this piece it’s just not in the budget right now.
@@VintageAndPainted I totally get it. It is a beautiful piece and being solid oak is even better. I really do commend u on doing so much work so far….it’s not easy! Good luck to you and hope to hear updates!
Yooooooo Sarah!!! Completely torn on the first one but, def. leaning towards choice 1 on the second one.... If that makes any sense LOL!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Oh Sarah .. I'm sorry these two pieces haven't sold yet. The long chest I like better now than the green but i think it would look great in black as well. The antique dresser... I have a couple I need to make over. I liked the first one the best but I didn't like the yellow color. I think it would have looked better if the drawers were black. I didn't like the hardware on this piece but I love the hardware just not on this piece. I love watching you and I learn a lot. Keep the videos coming. I have a booth and sometimes things just don't sell quickly and other pieces do.
That's a bummer you didn't sell them, I loved the green and decoupage paper, obviously some people just don't have any taste... 🙄 As they say second or third time lucky. 🍀🤞
Hahaha Gillian you are brilliant 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I liked both colors but me being old and old fashioned would prefer one color.
That seems to be the preferred look for sure. May do a live to complete the look 😊
Id have to say 2 would be my choice.
🥰🥰
With the first one I honestly love them both but from a selling point, the dusty rose 🌹 With the second piece, probs the second but I think the black chippy will sell as well. All of the makeovers were beautiful though love 💗 Happy Easter 🐇🐣🐰
Ahhh thanks Deb 🥰Happy Easter to you too
I like the dusty rose best
She is a lovely colour!
I really like both💜🕉
Reta!!! Appreciate you 🥰
Thanks!
Woah Wendy thank you that so kind of you 🥰
