Highly impressed w your skills and you have won my vote for the best furniture artist across the board and I’ve watched them ALL! Way to be! Girl Power! 🔆🙌🏼
Cry'Dawna..thank you for using all the tool and not just showing your amazing painting skills. you have encouraged me to reach further with my vision. You are delightful to watch and your positive attitude (and hair) is fantastic!!!
I only just now watched this video, so I don't know if you will see my comment. Your videos are absolutely the best. The tutorial/teaching aspect is without parallel. The woodworking part as you built the base was so easy to understand and follow. I totally agree with other commenters that, while construction may well not be in my future, the knowledge and confidence to make small repairs most definitely is. All your information is amazingly helpful as well as so beautiful!
Wow, thank you! Thank you so much for your kind words it really means a lot!! I always pay attention to comments even on my older videos so I will always see what you say :) I KNOW you could do this!!
Wow! I'm loving this piece! The combo of colors and materials is outstanding. You've stepped up you channel 10 notches with your new direction. Thanks for all the effort and care you're putting into your explanations. I didn't know I could countersink screw heads by using a drill bit up a size from top of the screw head. Simple but effective. Showing how you use the tools and measure and cut the mechanics really helps me. Thanks. Great work. Love the color and copper.
You have such a bada$$ set of skills, I'm so impressed. Although at this point I'm not interested in construction myself, I enjoyed watching this because it's good knowledge to have even if it's just for minor repairs. 😊 🙏 thanks!
You are an artist and carpenter. I didn’t think I would like the inside staying original but it just makes the copper and distressing pop even more. This is pretty stunning. I love it. 👍🏼🤍
Just beautiful!! Love the dark green and copper together, it's stunning! Love all the information even though most of it is way above my skill level, it's still interesting to see how the piece comes together. Thank you for the great video!!
A hand full of our subscribers we share suggested I check this video out for the copper handles that would go well with some of the industrial pieces I have started building. I am so glad I did! These are AWESOME!! Well done! Love LOVE your work and story I will make sure to link you when I do something similar to these. Thank you for sharing and I thank our subscribers for sending me over to your amazing channel!
I love how detailed you are about all of the creative aspects of your pieces. You are really good at teaching us what you’re doing. Thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge and skills with us!
I really love that base; it completely changed the look of the piece. I have to be honest - I'm not one for doing much distressing on anything I do. But it absolutely fits this piece. I bet Chris loves it!
Thank you Lisa!! I wanted it to almost look like a wash, one of the reasons I distress things really is because if us being military also, it is bound to get distressed on its own anyways lol
@@BellaRenovare That's for sure! I remember the condition my bedroom set came in. And that was in 1980, way before the current wave of painting and distressing. lol
Just WOW! I remember you looking at that hutch and hubs said it felt "light", lol It was very well built but you made it even better. I love it and the color is perfect. 🥰
Great information packed into video....learned lots and also learned teacher has some tricks up here sleeve to share🤩 I think your hubby is going to love it! Great piece and copper tubing is very fitting.....thank you for sharing.....really loving extra content and videos😊kim
Very clever putting the dowel piece inside the copper tubing to attach it to the door! Final finish looks amazing (as always) & I LOVE the copper for handles. Thanks again for sharing 🤩💚🙏🏻
Love this transformation. The copper with the green looks great. I have always enjoyed learning different painting techniques from you. Now with the new content I am learning so much more! Thank you.
Brilliant makeover ....love hubby's chouce of colour and love the original wood colour peeps through to compliment the copper pipes !! He's a lucky guy ....thank you for this my Lovely xxx
Love how that turned out and the instruction was very well done. The copper hardward is fantastic! When I purchased my first house years ago I bought one of those yellow miter boxes for my first DIY project. That brought back memories.
Love this! I really like watching the top by step process! I also like this style versus the blending paint- less chaotic to the eye. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Thank you for the awesome video! I loved the cabinet in its original state as it has great bones but I love your mancave interpretation! Any man would be happy to have that in their space. It’s the perfect man bar!
I literally had to pause this while you were explaining how to do the legs to write this... YOU ARE A GOD DAMN GURU GIRL!!!! Our title on our IG DMs is so warranted as literally I learn so so much from you it’s crazy!!!
You are such a creative problem solver! Thank you for walking us through EVERY which way you measured and didn’t just fast forward to music … beautiful piece of furniture … I’m inspired!
Thank you so much Claire!!! I never know if I show too much and people are like okay get on with it already but I am a visual learner and so I try to teach how I learn best :)
This really updated the piece! I love the color. Did you consider putting copper “caps” ( for lack of a better descriptor) on the legs to tie them into the hardware? I don’t know if it would detract from the legs so I’m just wondering. When you move to Maine you really need to do seminars on how to update furniture. You’re a great teacher!
Crys'Dawna.....girlllll, you got some mad skills going on......this piece is incredible and I love the collard greens with the copper....it's beautiful!
You are so inspirational. After watching you for a couple of weeks I think I am going to start my very 1st project this weekend. I'm very nervous but you've given me good info and I'm ready to try. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
Great video and great transformation !! You made what could be a complicated repurposing to an easy makeover. Love the color, the distressing, and definitely the copper. Thanks !!
Oh man! I love this!! I would never have the patience to do it, but I can appreciate your work and feel quite satisfied 😉 I’ll bet your husband is glad you went back for that piece.
thank you so much Jamie!!! Yes my husband really enjoys gin and he collects European beer glasses so it's adding up lol 😂 the collection is getting big
Oh wow it's gorgeous. I saw a cabinet on marketplace done like this but in black. I'm not sure which one I like better. I bought my compound mitre saw today. I am a safety nut so I watched your video the other day, I watched another one on the saw I bought and I read the manual front to back. I practiced cutting while it was off until I was comfortable to actually use it. I LOVE IT. It was so quick, easy and smooth. If anyone is hesitant about using one, if I can do it so can you. Thank you Crys Donna you gave me the boost to try. Oh and Ryobi 7 1/4" compound mitre saw is on sale at Home Depot in Canada this week for $99😃
I enjoyed this very much. I'm talking myself up to do my first piece. I inherited a bunch of antique old furniture that I want to beautify. So thank you for this and being so detailed. ❤
Another great tutorial, thank you for breaking down the way you did the base and the handles I really understood the process. It looks amazing love the colour
WOW WOW WOW!!! That’s FRIGGIN BEAUTIFUL!!!!! First, I absolutely love greens!!! This piece is so stunning!!!! I just love your videos! I don’t think I heard music but I really love your taste in music!
Great artistic work on this piece. I would used a copper cross pipe for the base and finishe them up with a copper ring pipe to make the look even more industrial... just a humble opinion from a huge fan of your work. Thanks so much!!
You are so creative! I think you amaze me more every video, if that’s even possible. The copper hardware AND the base? 🤩 Both incredible! I’d say this was a Home Run! No… a GRAND SLAM!!! ⚾️ You really did hit it out of the ball park with this one. I hope your hubby loves this one you designed and made with him in mind. I think it is so sweet how you thought of him with every decision. Style, colors, distressing etc.etc. It was darling to watch you take such care to make this just right for him. The world needs more Crys’Dawna’s in it. It would be a much happier and more colorful and more beautiful place. You are so super talented. I’ll be watching this videos MANY more times to really absorb every you taught in it! It is FULL of helpful info. Thanks again for sharing your amazing talents with us.
