You can clean that bad boy up. My grandparents had one I would say your looking into the hundreds. So wish I could have one for my sister. My Aunt took my grandparents one when they died knowing it was suppose to go to my sister. My cousin has it now but we are not close with that side of the family.
My late mil had one which she continually used, she said it was the best machine she had ever used. They can be worth $$$$ depending on year and condition.
My grandma had one of those when I was young, and I’m 72, so got to be probably from the 40’s/50’s. Take it to a antique shop and see what they would give you for it. Just don’t throw it away!!
Don’t know if any of you are interested in leather crafts but those old, peddle operated sewing machines are perfect for sewing leather garments once cleaned up, restored and equipped with the proper gauge needle.
That’s of interest.I’ve got an old peddle singer as a collectable antique, but never thought of using it for leather work, which I do. I hand sew though. Maybe I’ll investigate using it. Thank you for sharing.
My grand mother had one of those treddle singer sewing machines when she gave it to my mother someone had electrified it seems to have been done maybe by a kit by the singer dealer , grand ma made clothes for all her children growing up and mom made shirts for me and my dad ..collectors might refurbish it but don't use it for anything heaver than light blue Jean material it's not a leather sewing machine .....just saying......
@@rairai3517 depends on the model. The treadle version can handle light leathers with the proper needle though medium and heavy grades of leather are a bit too much.
I used same Sewing machine in the 50s and 60s and all the high schools use them for homework. By pedal. Then the electrical boxes came in the later 60s. My grandma had that bedroom set. So that would’ve been the 30s and 40s. I bet it’s still sews and it’s gonna be better than any singer that’s out there today.
It does my old heart good to see the youngsters helping out. This is how the next generation learns, and it is great to witness a Christian family working together. This is my kind of reality, t.v. You guys are awesome.
Those 100 yer old pedal sewing machines are very valuable here in Kenya, because many seamstress still use them! They don't have electricity so they can still do repairs, sew home articles, (clothes, curtains, blankets) and never have to use power. I had one when I was 20 (1990ish) and it was from 1890 or so.
That Singer sewing machine is at least a 100 years old. My Mom had an old one when I was a little kid ,an I am 70 now 😂. God bless you and your's 🙏😇🇺🇲🙊🙉🙈👍❤️🖖 Live long an prosper. If you are old enough to remember the first Star Trek tv show you know what that means hahaha 😂!!! 🤣
Looking at the serial number, the machine is from 1899. Serial number from 15,811,500 to 16,831,099 are from 1899. That is a keepsake, especially with some cleaning.
Your girls and the boys who came to help really worked hard. Such wonderful kids. You really accomplished so much in one day. I am excited to watch the progress being made on this abandoned house. Love and prayers to you all.❤
I love those kids!!!❤ such hard workers. They didn’t let up till the job was done! You’re so blessed Brandi! Your girls are wonderful and this 2 boys. Good men material!❤ thanks for the video Brandi. Thanks for the time you have given us all to make and edit these videos. You are appreciated. Love you guys. Blessings from OKC. If you and Dutch are coming to the Okie Homestead in OKC, maybe I can meet and shake your hands. Such a great family. I love your channels!❤
Nice sewing machine and dresser. Antiques both of them. I have a 1957 Singer machine. Sometimes it still works too. Fun times at the ole homestead area. Thank you for the video.
My grandma had the same sowing machine all her life the she was born in 1905 and when I was a kid I used to play with it and she still used it then and I'm 57 years old!
Hi Brandy. I'm 59 and was born in 1965 and I can remember my mother having a vanity table like the one you found in her bedroom when I was younger and their should be bench that goes with it . Those sewing machine sell for a good price too . If it has petal one it's worth more then the electric ones.
Brandy you can take it to a sewing machine repair shop and they can get it into working condition for you or one of the girls to use 😊 ❤ great find... Then you can clean up and repair the cabinet it sits in... It's worth more together ❤😊 My grandmother had a vanity like that... That's a great find
Yours antique sewing machine, based on what I can see of the serial number, is Singer model 27 (the 127 has the bobbin winder higher up on the pillar) from 1899. The decal design is the Pheasant, one of the more rare designs, so likely worth restoring and using! There are how-to videos on UA-cam, and it's a satisfying project, I've done several, so contact me if you need more info about them. The other machine from the shed is a Morse, also a nice working machine if you have the power cord ( replacements can be found or made with parts from Amazon or one of the Sewing machine parts websites).
I believe the "vanity" is actually a dressing table. It's low with a large mirror. So the user can see their hemline and feet. The drawers were used to store shoes. And sometimes there were compartments on top for shoe accessories like buckles and bows. It was not used as a makeup vanity. But a real cool vintage find.
The parts for the singer are available on line, and there are people who restore them. You would be surprised how good they look after being in similar shape to yours.
You guys are hard workers, it was so rewarding to see the reclaim on a lot of these items. Especially the ornate old glass bottles. Great video. Thankyou
You can redo that vanity I had one they look awesome. It's great for a makeup area or just decorated fur looks it's a antique. Sewing machine should have a date I have a old one too. Always look up these items you would be surprised what some old items are worth
Hi Brandi and Family. Great video. Always find something interesting in abandoned property. Great that the girls want to help. Nice old Singer sowing machine. God bless and love yall ❤❤
My Mama had a Singer like that, she made us some dresses & skirts to wear to church. My oldest daughter has my Mama's & my youngest daughter has my MILs. The yellow/ gold pitcher is antique. My husband has his Grandmothers. Please have some one look at the glass objects, furniture & the Singer. Girls & their friends did a great job cleaning it out. Vanity is BEAUTIFUL, Don't throw it away it's an antique and sewing machine. My sister received my grandmother's sewing machine like the one you have. I wanted it so much my heart was broken when I found out she threw it away. 😢
Even though that Singer machine may not work, it is still worth over $100.00 to some collectors. Put it in a corner & cover it up until you find a buyer or collector !!
Singer uses that serial number to determine the year of the machine. That machine is a treadle machine, theres supposed to be a leather belt that runs the machine when you work the treadle.
oh my when I saw the sewing machine my heart went straight to my grandmother she had one just like that I'm 61 so the machine is very old , the vanity is also I believe, new to your channel, thanks for sharing brought back great memories

My Native American great grandma sewed on one of those. Maybe it's a late 1800's or early 1900's. My mom and uncles decided to get her a electric sewing machine and she told them to take it back because it went so fast that she sewed her finger. She continued sewing on her old peddle singer. She passed away when she was 101.
Looks like y'all got a lot done cleaning up the house. My Mama had a Singer sewing machine like that when I was a young girl. Can't wait to follow along with y'all cleaning up and redoing the house. Those boys and your girls were doing a great job cleaning up the mess. GOD bless y'all.

Wow this will take a lot of hard work but it will be well worth it. This can become a nice home for a family. That is a nice old sewing machine. I hope you all can save it. All the best to you all.

This reminds me of my sister I'm house. It originally belonged to our grandparents on my mother's side. It had been out the family for over 20 years. We got back 3 years ago. It was cluttered up with junk throughout the house and knee deep in the garage. My sister lives there now. We're continually working on it but nice now.
Brandi I learned how to sew on a machine like that. Have no idea what Mother did with it but wish I had it. As it was in mint condition and would be worth a lot of money. This was awesome to watch and hope the ring is real that Hope had. Just watch out for the mold as it can make one sick. Thank you as enjoyed watching. Love y'all
Thank God for the work crew. They are doing a good job. I love the whole thing. I guess I'm noisy. If my research on the Singer sewing machine is correct, that is most likely a modell that goes to the late 1800's! Definitely a keeper!

I'm 68, and when I was little, my grandmother had that same vanity ❤
I would be tempted to run a big magnet around the yard to pick up any nails or screws. Great workers you have there.
That’s for sure a good idea
That sewing machine is an antique. Restore it. That dresser looked pretty good.
I made my daughter's first clothes on one of those machines. That was in 1964. I borrowed it from my mother‐in-law.
The neighbors must be enjoying watching you clean that house up!😀
